"They were great though they were a small company. Everything they did was very professional and they pulled it together very nicely and wonderfully. They were nice to their customers and listened to what the customer wants. They always make the customer feel good and was the guy who did the work for us."

"Gateway is a great company. They are wonderful people... very honest and trustworthy. They did great work on our master bath and kitchen. They managed to use problem-solving skills to work out some usual issues with our kitchen cabinets and range, as well as structural problems created by a previous contractor. I have continued using them for many other smaller projects in our house as we work toward the completion of our renovations."

" and his crew did the job right. I can finally stand to spend time in my kitchen and bathroom. I sigh with relief because the rooms were professionally painted this time around. "takes care of you". From the color expert to the crew who do the job, they listen to you and answer all of your questions. They arrive when they say they will, and you don't have to wonder when the job will be finished. They get an A+ from me for the work they did and the customer service they provided. It's unfortunate that I didn't use from the beginning on my house, but the good news is -- I found an excellent painter who I can use over and over again for all of my future painting projects. As soon as I save more money for home repairs, I will be calling back to re-paint the rest of the house. It's a relief to know that, at least where painters are concerned, I'll never have to for another company. is IT!"

" responded quickly to my request for an estimate. Estimate was in similar range to others we obtained. Worked to fit our " small project" in betweeen others in order to get it done asap before the birth of our first child. Yes, I had procrastinatd this project although we were not aware of the amount of mold involved until showed us pictures. They only charged us an additional $50 over our estimate for the new insulation and no additonal fees for the bleaching etc involved. We were very happy with how quickly the work was completed. They left the house/bathroom very tidy after each workday which was very improtant as we only have 1 bathroom. All three employees were friendly and professional. When we had a small issue with the calk after completion. came the very next morning and fixed it and made it clear that if we had any further problems with any of the work at any point he would be back to work it out. I doubt this will be neccessary as their work seems experienced and thorough. We are very pleased with all of our interactions with and the work they did for us. "

"Mr. came by the previous week to provide us with a free estimate. He completed the work in an exceptional and timely manner. He also provided the purchase and installation of some missing floor molding, at no charge to us. We have used Mr. previously and his work as perfect!"

" is the first person we call for help! He's professional, keeps communication lines open about how projects are going, and his work is completed very well. He gives my husband further pointers for his own projects, and has great advice on ways to improve our home's energy efficiency."

" was very responsive from the first call. , the owner, showed up within just a couple of days, gave a fair bid, and showed up and completed the work. He was even very willing to work around my busy schedule. His work was cost efficient, very professional, and I am very happy with his work. I am definitely putting him in my contact list to use again!"

" responded timely, was very courteous and capable. He did what I asked, and did it when he said he would. He even put up with my many questions and fussiness about aesthetics. He's very down to earth, does good work and charges a fair price. I'm glad to have made contact with and plan to use him much in future."

"In November of 2006, the plaster ceiling in my kitchen had developed a crack and was showing signs of slight sagging. I was concerned about this as I was expecting a lot of company over the coming holidays and didn't care to have it fall on anyone's head, including mine. I arranged for two estimates from companies with the top rating on Angie's List. I chose this one because the price was a little lower. Unfortunately, that was not a wise decision. I did not realize until was on the way to do the job that he intended to use 1/4" Dry Wall (he called to tell me he would be late because he was having trouble finding it). I know from experience that most contractors feel that 3/8" Dry Wall, or thicker, should be used in that situation, but didn't mention this to . I just hoped that he knew what he was doing. He didn't. After taping and mudding, he painted the ceiling with a paint with a sand additive, saying that he always used that to prevent any imperfections from showing in the light. I don't care for a sand finish but, again said nothing in hopes that he knew what he was doing. He didn't. It was not until the paint dried that the "waves" in the ceiling were evident (the dry wall he used was too thin) and made even more obvious by the patches in the paint where the sand additive was thick. tried to fix that with another coat of paint but it didn't do much good. My husband was furious over the deep in our front door from where bumped it with some of his equipment. I wasn't too happy about the broken coat hooks in the back hallway where (or his helper) hit it when carrying in the Dry Wall. Just before finished, the ceiling in my front foyer suddenly developed a bad crack. I asked for an estimate (knowing I would never get anyone in to dry wall a 5' x 8' ceiling that close to Christmas. He agreed to put up the dry wall for $250 if my son would come and help him, as he had let his helper go. That seemed high, but I really had no choice...the ceiling looked dangerous. When left, he asked me to make a good report to Angie's List. After thinking it over, I decided that the kindest thing I could do for him would be to make no report at all. I felt somewhat to blame for not insisting that he use a thicker dry wall and paint without sand additive. However, shortly before November of 2007, I looked up at my kitchen ceiling to see that one of the seams he had taped (one that ran the width of the kitchen) was opening up, and the mud had been applied so thinly that the tape was visible in spots in spite of the two coats of sand finish paint. Then I became truly angry at the unprofessional job that never looked good, now looked really bad after less than a year. I would have submitted this report at that time but have had to deal with a lot of illness in my family, including myself. "

"We bought a house, and decided to have the cracks in the ceilings repaired and rooms re-painted and wooden floors refinished before we moved in. Since we were told by multiple contractors that the ceiling repairs would be quite messy (if done properly), we had the ceilings done first, then the floors, then the painting. The bid was 50-75% higher that the other 3 bids, however assured us the work would be top-notch, so we went with it. Unfortunately, all ceilings were not properly repaired (taken down or bad parts removed and replaced) but simply patched with ceiling patch. As a result, all the patched and old cracks are still clearly visible. I was not happy, so re-painted some areas and said it was because of the light and drapes would take care of it. In fact, one of the "repaired" ceilings in the bedroom fell down one month later, completely up the newly-refinished floor. I had a different contractor come in who did proper repairs and not just patch."
