Saint Louis Waterproofing Contractors Reviews
We had purchased the system over 20 years ago from the previous ownership. Even though
There was a slight problem with the concrete in one area of the basement -- it needed to be leveled a bit. I called to see if they could fix it, and they came out immediately. I didn't have to ask twice for them to fix it. I thought they would just pour something on top of it to level it off, but instead they tore up the concrete in that area and repoured it. They seemed to have a real committment to the quality of their work. Really, we couldn't have been happier with the whole job.
Employee Work Ethic: Professional
Employee Values: Integrity and Dutiful
Advantages for using this Company: Caters to Military and professional work ethic.
Concerns: Concrete repair of the foundation did not set well in some areas and is cracking at hollow spots, I did let Mr. Boziki know about this issue the last day they was here because the cracks and hollow points were noticeable before the repairs were completed on the outside of the home which allowed the interior repairs of the basement to set a day or two. Mr. Boziki did say he would return after business from recent storms slowed down and repair those spots that were hollow and cracking bc of the concrete not setting. No areas have cracked due to water damage or leaking and the basement has not leaked at all along the walls.
Second Concern: The drains placed at the doors in the basement are not as wide as the door frame so water that comes under the doors goes around these drains and into the basement, I also mentioned this to Mr. Boziki.
I completely trust Mr. Boziki will hold up to his word and fix these issues as soon as time permits, I would recommend this company to any fellow military man or friend.
He is very responsive and returned my calls and texts very quickly, showed up when he said he would, left the work area very clean and looking great. He assured me that if I had any further issues in the basement to give him a call.
On top of doing a great job, he's a very personable guy - he gave me advice on how to repair a few other projects I was performing on my own. I will definitely call "
It was a pleasant experience.
The only negative I have about the experience was getting the work started. It took 1 month after my phone call for someone to come out and give me a bid, and then the work was not started for another month. This might have been due to our rainy weather. They may have been swamped with work, but I was not informed of this.
Five more days passed and someone else from the company finally emailed me the bid. This is a total of about 10 weeks after I had first called for an appointment. The bid was priced just slightly higher than other bids we had gotten (roughly $8,000), but it was still within a fair range to me. Since the email was just the dollar amount, I looked forward to getting the hard copy of the bid in the mail, which would explain the details of the job.
And I waited, and I waited......it finally arrived in the mail another THREE WEEKS after the emailed bid.....and it arrived with .66 cents POSTAGE DUE!
I do understand that the spring of 2011 was exceptionally wet and many basements flooded and most waterproofing companies were very busy. But while Wood's came highly recommended, I will not do business with a company that is so severely backlogged that it takes weeks to get a person out to inspect for a bid, and then several more weeks for an actual bid. Not to mention the fact that they could not even take the time to affix proper postage on a bid. If a company is booked weeks/months in advance they must be bidding on an awful lot of jobs...and should certainly know how much postage to put on an envelope!
Just seemed like bad business practices or overworked employees, and when I hire someone to work on my home and expect to pay them many thousands of dollars to repair my home - I do not want a company with those kind of standards.
