Saint Louis Waterproofing Contractors Reviews

responded to my phone call on Saturday after the large snowstorm and then rain. We had a broken pipe in our sump pump with early overflow problems. He returned our call on a Saturday. Then sent servicemen tohome immediately. It took two trips, pluis supplies to repair a rusty C-clamp from 20 years ago. Further testing revealed a defect in our drain pipe, which was also repaired.
We had purchased the system over 20 years ago from the previous ownership. Even though

was a succeeding owner, there was "no charge" for all the work. Highly professional. Problem solved.
"These guys are great. They are very knowledgeable and we feel they are extremely trustworthy. We were about to begin a remodel of our basement rec room and they gave us a few suggestions regarding the framing of the rec room so if the foundation needed repairs in the future, we wouldn't have to tear down any walls. The small cracks they waterproofed were in a different section of the house and behind drywall, they answered all our questions regarding how to best ensure water wouldn't penetrate the drywall in the future. In addition, While they were repairing our basement wall, they discovered a hollow spot in our basement floor. They came back to inspect the hollow floor the following week using a camera scope and discovered it was a small space (less then a few inches) and it was nothing to be too concerned about. As far as we're concerned, these guys are the only foundation company we'll call in the future.
"Service was excellent. Arrived on time to provide estimate, explained the repair process, scheduled date for repair, showed up on time, took 2 days as predicted, cleaned up mess. Working with them is a great example of knowledge, service, and respect for the consumer. Honest, efficient, and reliable.
"It went really well.

gave us an estimate that was right in the middle of the other estimates we had gotten, but he seemed more professional than some of the other companies we had tried. We set a date for the work to be done; Atlas told us in advance everything we would need to do and everything they would do to prepare for the job. The job started and ended on time and on budget. I was really impressed by everyone I dealt with: the office staff (

There was a slight problem with the concrete in one area of the basement -- it needed to be leveled a bit. I called to see if they could fix it, and they came out immediately. I didn't have to ask twice for them to fix it. I thought they would just pour something on top of it to level it off, but instead they tore up the concrete in that area and repoured it. They seemed to have a real committment to the quality of their work. Really, we couldn't have been happier with the whole job.
"Total time for repairs: 5 days.
Employee Work Ethic: Professional
Employee Values: Integrity and Dutiful

Advantages for using this Company: Caters to Military and professional work ethic.
Concerns: Concrete repair of the foundation did not set well in some areas and is cracking at hollow spots, I did let Mr. Boziki know about this issue the last day they was here because the cracks and hollow points were noticeable before the repairs were completed on the outside of the home which allowed the interior repairs of the basement to set a day or two. Mr. Boziki did say he would return after business from recent storms slowed down and repair those spots that were hollow and cracking bc of the concrete not setting. No areas have cracked due to water damage or leaking and the basement has not leaked at all along the walls.
Second Concern: The drains placed at the doors in the basement are not as wide as the door frame so water that comes under the doors goes around these drains and into the basement, I also mentioned this to Mr. Boziki.
I completely trust Mr. Boziki will hold up to his word and fix these issues as soon as time permits, I would recommend this company to any fellow military man or friend.
"The company sent out a salesman to try and sell an interior drain tile and sump pump. I told him I wanted ideas and a plan for keeping my basement waterproof. The company representative failed to do a proper investigation to try and find out a solution. In this case I had water coming into the basement from my chimney but he didn't even shine his flashlight up the chimney to see the problem. Instead he recommending drain tile across the ENTIRE perimeter of my basement even though I told him 2/3 of it had never seen water.

showed up to bid the job within a day of my initial call.
He is very responsive and returned my calls and texts very quickly, showed up when he said he would, left the work area very clean and looking great. He assured me that if I had any further issues in the basement to give him a call.
On top of doing a great job, he's a very personable guy - he gave me advice on how to repair a few other projects I was performing on my own. I will definitely call

for any sort of household issues that arise - he's great!
"It went great.

(owner) came out and game us a great bid in a reasonable amount of time. Received our proposal within a reasonable amount of time. Scheduled the work to be performed within a week of the bid. The work was done professionally, and the employee was professional and friendly as well. No dust or debris left behind. Very pleased."
"The team arrived at 6:30 am and the work was completed by 1:30 pm the same day. When the team arrived, they laid down plastic on our driveway before pulling their truck onto it. Before starting the

hammering, they put up plastic tarps around the work area so the dust stayed where they were working. Then they covered the entrance to the house with plastic. As two men

hammered the trench, another man carried the busted concrete out of the basement in buckets. They worked steadily with no breaks. The gravel for the trench was also carried into the house in buckets. The piping was then covered with cement and the pump was installed. A hole was drilled in the foundation to pump the water outside into our sewer. Then they did a terrific clean up! I didn't need to do any cleaning of the basement after they left. The foreman showed me how the pump worked and explained a service agreement available.
It was a pleasant experience.

The only negative I have about the experience was getting the work started. It took 1 month after my phone call for someone to come out and give me a bid, and then the work was not started for another month. This might have been due to our rainy weather. They may have been swamped with work, but I was not informed of this.
"The salesman was very nice and professional, and he said almost exactly the same things as the other 4 companies that bid on the job for us had said. He said he would get the estimate ready and email it to me the next day and then drop a hard copy in the mail with the details. The next afternoon, he DID send me an email, thanking me for my time and saying the bid was attached....but he forgot to attach the bid. I emailed him back and asked him to please re-send it to me with the bid attached this time. No response. Three days later I emailed him again, again with no response at all. I waited another week (no response), then I finally called the company and asked if someone could please send me my bid.

Five more days passed and someone else from the company finally emailed me the bid. This is a total of about 10 weeks after I had first called for an appointment. The bid was priced just slightly higher than other bids we had gotten (roughly $8,000), but it was still within a fair range to me. Since the email was just the dollar amount, I looked forward to getting the hard copy of the bid in the mail, which would explain the details of the job.

And I waited, and I finally arrived in the mail another THREE WEEKS after the emailed bid.....and it arrived with .66 cents POSTAGE DUE!

I do understand that the spring of 2011 was exceptionally wet and many basements flooded and most waterproofing companies were very busy. But while Wood's came highly recommended, I will not do business with a company that is so severely backlogged that it takes weeks to get a person out to inspect for a bid, and then several more weeks for an actual bid. Not to mention the fact that they could not even take the time to affix proper postage on a bid. If a company is booked weeks/months in advance they must be bidding on an awful lot of jobs...and should certainly know how much postage to put on an envelope!

Just seemed like bad business practices or overworked employees, and when I hire someone to work on my home and expect to pay them many thousands of dollars to repair my home - I do not want a company with those kind of standards.
