"Punctual, professional, good customer service in follow up. Gave good advice about where it was worth spending more and where I could save a bit on what was a huge expense for me.

"Knowledgeable staff, high quality work and great results.

was especially helpful and kept us informed as work progressed. There was some delay with installing the last 2 windows due to an initial mismeasurement, so that part of the job was completed a month later than the rest.
Advance notice and followup of installation dates could have been better. We were surprised to find that work was starting on a holiday, and did not receive an advance call with that information. All we knew was that work might commence on a given week, but no final confirmation. I discovered that work would start the next day only by happenstance, when I called to check in. The same thing happened with installation of the last two windows, so ECE could shore up this process.

, the manager of the installation, pointed out that windows installed by another company last year had not been caulked in critical places. That allowed us to call the other company and secure agreement for them to fix the problem. (Thanks,

"They visited the site and took measurements, discussed the project with me, and then ordered the glass and installed it two-three weeks later. The only difficulty was getting a response from them when I needed to schedule the first visit since they had to enter the neighbors property to access the window. But aside from that they were able to replace the glass efficiently and relatively quickly once it came in.

"Four windows were sweating and causing problems and so we called them up to give us a quote. They showed up on time which means a lot to me. They offered ideas and we decided that for my home vinyl windows wouldnt be a good choice. I decided to have them install

windows instead. Fiberglass exterior and wood interior. Installed beautifully. Very happy with the windows. Old deck was soft and not nice to look at. Did not know when I had them out for windows that they did decks. We discussed deck options and he initially suggested trex. I don't like the look of trex. I wanted wood but not a high maintenance wood. The estimator was very knowledgeable and even had an ironwood sample in his truck. We agreed on a layout and did the paperwork. The deck is gorgeous and everyone who comes over comments on it. Prices quoted were never exceeded and work was done satisfactory and on schedule. Cant ask for much more"

"Install was great, crew that showed up was not owner (
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
). The main issue with this company is the owner. He is
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
unprofessional. His quotes and prices kept sliding around and when asked about the details of how he got his pricing, he refused to provide any transparency or explain why one thing cost this much and if we added this to the scope or took out this scope, why the pricing would change. He wanted us to use a door he got a huge margin on purchasing wholesale and when we wanted him to just install the door that we chose, he jacked the price up again to install the door. He almost refused to sign a contract agreement and he raised his voice and got in our face in our house when we told him he had to sign an agreement to get going.
He doesn't email or provide paperwork and he lied about a judgment against his company (claiming no one has ever questioned his prices or had a problem with his workmanship before). When we called him on it, he almost walked out of the house. We were not asking for unreasonable things; we quizzed him on his prices, asked for samples and wanted to use items we chose for the house. But his reaction was
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
unprofessional and acted like a baby. We also felt he was sexist when talking with a woman; he never yelled or tried to bully when a man was in the room.
Despite him being a bully, we understood that once we got through this initial setup he would not be showing up again to do the work and so went with Housecraft because they did provide the best prices. So it was a nightmare to deal with him initially, then when we didn't have to deal with him again, it went great.

and

, who did the work were very professional and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Their measurement of the windows that needed replacement was accurate and they corrected previous problems with prior installation by another company. They arrived on time and worked with our Project Manager to get the work done. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

, the owner was great. He is super knowledgable about window technology and all the latest options available. He is an excellent communicator and explained everything thoroughly. We had not known how easy it would be to remove the old aluminum windows that were difficult to open and close and replace them with spiffy new vinyl ones that were more energy efficient and opened smoothly. They came with nice screens too. Installation took just a couple of hours. Everything was clean and left no damage or dirt. A bonus was that
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
noticed that our chimney needed re-caulking, so he did that too - no charge.
We had a short wait in order to get the exact color combination on the inside and outside that we wanted, but that was well worth it.

"We contacted
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
because we knew the windows and that was what we wanted. When the salesperson came out on
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
31, 2013, he really pushed for the show and tell when we already knew what we wanted and wanted to get to the order placed. We told him we wanted sun shade windows with low e and same on the door. The price quoted was $5,695. We paid a deposit at that time and half of the payment when they came to measure on August 7, 2013. While we were waiting for the Windows /Door to be manufactured, the sales person called and said the window hardware we had ordered was no longer made and we would have to pick out another style of hardware in the oiled bronze color. I went online to see the choices and told him what we wanted in the oiled bronze. On October 9, 2013, the install team came out. The window frames had been built for a trim piece which we were not using. The installer had to caulk in that opening. The windows and door came with white hardware, not the oiled bronze I had ordered. The door opened in, not out like we wanted and the windows were not the sun shade windows. When the installers tried to install the sliding window, they broke a chip out of the frame. They tried to fix it but I told them I did not want a damaged frame. Because of the issues, the sales person came out again. He told us we had not ordered the sun shade windows...he said he always talks people out of the shaded windows because they are too dark. We were not able to ascertain what we had ordered on the invoice because it was coded. He said he would "act as our lawyer" to try to get the other issues resolved. He acted like he did not remember our telephone call about the oiled bronze hardware but that was on the invoice. At the end of the day he left and we spoke with "

" at

. He said he would provide us with the sun shade windows on the south door and south sliding window, both of which needed to be replaced anyway. On November 20, 2013, the install team came out again with the new door and the new window. They still did not have the correct hardware and the installer broke a chip out of the new window frame in the same spot. When I asked if the frame was very good quality, the installer said it was his fault, the way he was grabbing and pulling the frame into place. He said they were ordering a new frame and would bring the frame with the oiled bronze hardware on their (hopefully) last visit. On December 13, 2014, the install team was back again. They were able to install the final window frame with no breakage however they still did not have the hardware. They had to send someone out to give the hardware to the installers. Although the process was long and that sales person was terrible we were happy with the windows and wanted to order two more doors. They had an offer of 30 percent off before the end of the year and another sales person came out. With the 30 percent off, the door estimate was much higher than we originally paid. The salesperson said the original salesperson must have made a mistake in figuring out our original cost and we got a deal. I got the impression he was trying to make up for the money they had lost on the install. We were not going to pay $3,000 each for new doors so did not pursue the two doors.

"From start to finish (Oct. 6, 2013 to
Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
. 3, 2014) everything went well. Our salesman (EJ) told us our windows would be ready for installation in about two and one-half months. They were ready. He told us it would take about two days to install them. It did. He told us a serious effort would be made to make the new windows match the older leaded-paned windows in our home. They do. On Oct. 8 our windows were measured and on December 20 we were told the new windows had arrived and would be ready for installation in a few days. On

Seattle Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, arrived at 7:45. They took a quick look at their project and said: "Let's get started." Out came the old; in went the new. They replaced four older sills, and the inside framing of one three-frame window as well as several outside framing strips. We had covered some of our furniture, but they decided more protection was needed so they covered the rest. They took pains to keep everything clean. Frankly, we have never encountered more efficient workers than these two brothers. We are delighted with our new windows.

"I have a 1920's home that had original wood single pane windows. I loved my wood windows and the look of my home so I've put off replacing for far too long, sure that whatever I replaced with would not match the quality of my original windows. The energy efficiency factor became a real concern during the colder months.
