Seattle plumbing problem caused by faulty repair

Didn't respond to Angeline Johnson's request for a refund of a deposit for work she decided not to have done. Third month in the box.

Didn't respond to Barbara Knigge's request to repair damage and issue a partial refund for a roof replacement she says wasn't properly one. First month in the box.

COMPLAINT: Carolyn Hathaway, Yarrow Point
"A leak developed in my skylights. AAA Skylights came out and repaired it for a reasonable price.

There was no problem until several months later when they started to leak again. I called AAA Skylights five times over the next couple of months.

Someone returned my call and left a message, then I returned the call four times during the next two months.

There's no excuse for having voicemail if you won't return calls."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like for them to determine why I still have a leak. If that's not possible, I'd like my money back."

COMPLAINT: Jill Loveland, Seattle
"Fox Plumbing & Heating came out to fix a leaky toilet. They had to order a part because it was an older model.

They got the part, fixed the toilet and presented me with a $923 bill, which I paid. I told them it didn't flush properly. They mentioned the flushing knob needed to be replaced and told my husband to buy a new one at the store.

When he found a knob to replace the old one, he found they'd used a non-flexible wire to fix and attach the flushing mechanism, rather than the flexible one he'd instructed them to use.

He had to buy a new connection and install it due to their mistake."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I think they should refund $100 of the labor cost."

STATUS: Resolved
