"Plum is a terrific outfit. They communicate clearly and in a timely manner. The Plum team are professional and deliver on their promises. Emre, the owner, is super clear on pricing, schedule, and goals so expectations are clear all around. Their work is top notch: clean, thorough, and demonstrating a real passion for their craft. We couldn't have been happier!
Specifically Plum installed six
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
windows; big, three-awning metal framed windows (we like the modern look). One of these windows was nearly double-sized and another was on the landing half-way up the house. Our house is an old
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
-style kit home - basically a box. It's over a hundred years old and the window casings showed a lot of wear and tear. We are planning to re-side in the future so we wanted Plum to basically pop out the old windows and put the new ones in with as little re-trimming as possible.
Emre and crew did great. Even though it was raining, and despite some heavy glass and difficult window framing, Plum finished the job on time and exactly the way I wanted it done. They even went further, applying extra weather-proofing while sticking to budget. We're so happy with their work that they are at the top of our list for future remodeling jobs - and with a house this old there are plenty of those!

"Minor issues with the foundation that were all addressed appropriately. Had some changes from the original drawings that were added costs, but very reasonable. Framing was excellent. The project went longer than anticipated, but was mostly due to the change orders. Highly recommend
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
as your framer.

"Before doing a complete gut renovation on my house's only bathroom, I requested bids from several contarctors, one of which was
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. They were punctual for the appointment, and very thorough and professional as we talked through the space. Upon departure I was told that I would have a quote within a week. After about 8 days had passed (and I had gotten the other 2 bids back completed) I reached out to see where the bid was and when I could expect it. I was eager and excited to make a decision and get the work started. Upon leaving a message, my call was returned promptly. However, I was surprised by the response. I was told that because the job was 'so small' that it would not be time or cost effective for them to take it on. I do understand that things come up (i.e. bigger jobs) and people need to make a living. That said, my experience would have been better if i had gotten the call proactively instead of me waiting for a bid that was never coming.

"The project started off promising with the owner reviewing the site conditions and leading us to believe it could be done within a relatively short period of time (3 weeks give or take) and within our budget. Unfortunately, neither were true. The cost of the project ballooned and the contractor never gave us a revised amount as the project progressed or a more realistic timeline. The attitude was that this will get done when it gets done and it will cost what it costs. It was probably the most inefficient job I have ever been a part of. For a deck, there were 25+ trips to suppliers which meant a lot of time away from the job. Guys were put on the job to do things unrelated to the scope of the project for which we were charged for-- like spreading 4-5 loads of mulch. The company damaged property on the premises. The owner assured us we would not be charged for the repairs but low and behold, we paid for the labor to fix their mistakes. Some of the damage was never resolved. The invoices included things typical contractors never charge for (i.e. tape measure? notebooks?). The invoices included the labor to repair things we weren't supposed to be charged for. There were double billings. They charged the equivalent of 1000+ miles of gas and didn't track mileage (for a deck construction project!). We never received one change order and he took the liberty to do things without permission and did things outside of scope despite explicit instructions to stay within scope. Despite a full-time superintendent on the job, the owner charged hundreds of hours to the job for running around picking up screws and other tasks that really weren't adequately substantiated. We were fleeced plain and
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. We were really disappointed with the lack of professionalism by this company and will never use them again. Slow, very poor value for your money, and lack of follow through on property deficiencies left behind. Oh, by the way, he took on the work without having a license to do business in the City. Very classy. This certainly was a life changing experience that will forever change how we hire and deal with contractors in the future.

and his team were great! They were professional from beginning to finish and we ended up with an outstanding final product. We wanted to do a major remodel to the main floor of our house. We had some ideas about what we wanted, but didn't have anything set in stone. Out of three bids,
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was not the least expensive, but not the most either. We ended up going with the
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
bid due to the detail in the proposal and the fact that it was easy to chat with
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. After the first few meetings with
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, he helped suggest vendors, engineers and review the plans that we had. He was very easy to work with and his team reflected his professionalism, while at the same time being friendly, flexible and easy to work with. We had a few surprises during the project, and after the initial bid, we decided to do some additional work. One of the larger changes was to add roof wok to the project. Due to the weather, the decision and work was very time sensitive.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
pulled out all the stops and more than doubled his team's size in order to pull the roof, restructure (which allowed us a raised ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom) and get a new roof on before the weather turned on us. For the inside of the house,
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
an his project manager,
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
worked with us wonderfully. This was our first large remodel, and
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's contacts and suggestions were very helpful and the subcontractors were great. Also, since this was our first major project, we didn't plan as much as we could have up front.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's team was very flexible with any changes or additions that we decided to include. The attitude was one of "How can we best accomplish this to give you the house that you want?", instead of "That's more work or more time, let's just take the easy way out." Our project encompassed entirely the first floor of our house. The kitchen an bathroom were completely taken down to the bare bones, even to the point of removing several layers of old flooring and bringing three rooms' floors to the same level. We removed two long sections of wall by the kitchen and staircase, which opened up the house incredibly. We added forced air heating, which required ducting to be added to service all rooms in the house. We have plans for a future remodel and addition of a bathroom upstairs, so
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
helped to run plumbing upstairs along the entire length of the house, giving us many more options for the future bathroom placement. We moved several doors around, added hardwood flooring in the main living room, kitchen and staircase.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's team did a stellar job with our custom woodwork requests. We gave them a description of a built in bookcase that we wanted under the stairs and the completed bookcase couldn't have come closer to what we had in our mind's eye. They also worked with is to add a custom trapezoid shaped window in the bathroom, making the space even more unique. In addition to the kitchen/bathroom/living room changes, we also turned an mostly unfinished covered porch into a newly finished laundry room. After all was finalized, we couldn't be more happy with the final product. But honestly, the pictures will tell you more than words ever could, take a look! In the end, I wouldn't hesitate to hire
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
again, I just hope they have time to fit me in when the time comes!

"We can't say enough about
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and the work that he and his crew did for us. They were unfailingly thoughtful, communicative, and we love everything that they did for us.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was always willing to listen to our ideas, and able to provide an educated and helpful response. He was flexible about working with someone to get our fireplace installed and his crew was always doing what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Our only wish is that we could afford to have them do more. "

Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team were an absolute delight to work with. Throughout the whole process they were professional, prompt, and willing to go the extra mile on many occasions.
The original job was to
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
some porcelain tile in our kitchen. About half way into the first day on the job they discovered that we didn't have enough tile. Totally our fault for not ordering enough!!! The place we bought the tile from was saying it would be 5 days before we could get more tile but
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
called and was able to get it overnight so the job wasn't delayed. He even went and picked it up for us so we didn't have to miss
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. We had some carpet being installed one of the days
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
' team was working and the carpet guy called to our attention that there was some broken concrete in the room that was getting the carpet. The carpet guy didn't have anything to fill it so we asked
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
' guys if they could help. They called
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
who picked up the supplies and filled in the cracks within an hour. Amazing!
The second job was hooking up gas to our range tjhat was previously electric. (Keep in mind this was the day before Christmas eve.) This required them turning off the gas to the house and when
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
went to light the pilot light for the hot water heater it wouldn't ignite. He assumed we had been having problems with this but when we told him the hot water heater had been working fine he went back over to the house the next day (on Christmas eve) to see if he could get it lit. Eventually it did light thus
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
saved the day. Little did he know my parents were flying into town that day to spend the Holidays with us. The hot water was much appreciated :-)
Hire these guys!!!

"We chose this contractor, because of neighbor recommendations, experience dealing with condo and multi-floor realities, ability to respect condo guidelines, and creativity in designing and constructing a wheelchair-appropriate remodel. We were not disappointed. The contractors offered creative advice on doorway construction and plumbing configuration that met code and condo requirements, while solving our mysteries and meeting our needs. The tradesmen were personable, and several of our condo neighbors remarked on their friendliness and the lack of disturbance during the remodel. Despite a price higher than what we hoped for (we are used to doing things ourselves), the workmanship and results were very high quality. The post-construction warranty wasn't really needed. Over a year later, the owner and plumber even came out immediately to help us solve a building problem which turned out to be totally unrelated to their work.

Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the contractor for our Community Power Works efficiency upgrades. We were lucky to have
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
assigned as Project Manager.
Individuals working on the project were professional, experienced, skillful and genial. Floors and walls were protected and work areas were cleared up at the end of the day. The activities did not interfere with our day to day household routines.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
found the right systems and fixtures for the house. We have lived with the results for several months and can report that everything is working the way it's supposed to. There are no longer variations in temperature throughout the house, the heat pump provides a nice consistent heat, the air conditioning worked great in August. and we love the toilets.
We would definitely work with
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
again if
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew were managing the project.

"From the moment I first talked to
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, I was impressed with his “can-do” attitude. As backstory, we had just recently bought a lovely 1952 home and upon the second day of moving in, the finished basement began leaking and we discovered mold growing inside all of the walls and under all of the vinyl flooring (about 800 square feet of living space). Upon removing the wall-boards, we also discovered that the window wells were leaking as well. While this was going on, we found out that the back-yard pool (that we were told simply needed a new filter) was 60+ years old and needed to be completely overhauled (resurfaced, new plumbing, electricity, etc). Since the a large portion of what had once been our property had been sold off and developed, there was no room for heavy equipment, which made either replacing the pool or filling it in nearly impossible.
Needless to say, we were overwhelmed and upset when we began the hunt for contractors. When I first spoke with
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and explained our situation (we hoped to fill in the pool and turn it into a yard, and waterproof and re-finish our basement), he first commiserated with me and then said flat out "I'm going to fix this for you!" and set up a meeting that day. I was immediately impressed with his ability to look at the multitude of projects, make a plan and then get to work. It was certainly challenging, but
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
found a way to get over the inability to get heavy equipment into the back-yard, which included hiring a tele-belt to shuttle pea-gravel over our roof and doing a lot of the work by hand--including 2 weeks of
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
-hammering to get through the rebar of a gunite pool.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s team is absolutely amazing. I have never seen a group of men work so hard. They were at our home every day by 7am and I am not sure I ever saw them stop to take a break outside of lunch time. They were respectful of our space and time, and always cleaned up after themselves. Outside of the
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
team (which did all of the landscaping and fencing work, as well as quite a bit of the interior), all of
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s subcontractors were high-quality, polite and hard-working.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s on-site superintendent,
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, was incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I always felt like I could get ahold of either
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
or
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
whenever I needed them.
What originally seemed like a desperate situation--moving into a new home only to discover that the finished basement needed to waterproofed and refinished and the pool and backyard needed a massive overhaul--it truly turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We now have a large backyard space with fresh grass, new patio refurbished shed and a beautiful new fence as well as a fresh, finished basement that looks amazing.
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team can make any project happen. We will certainly be using
Seattle Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
in the future!
