My experience at Harborview was outstanding. I believe that I got world class care. Because of the nature of my break (a class 5 tibial plateau fracture) and the amount of swelling, the doctors couldn't operate on my leg right away. They put in an external fixator to stabilize the bones and then did a 7 1/2 hour surgery 10 days later. The lead surgeon,
Beingessner, had to contour the metal plates around an old break in my leg, adding another
of complexity. Everyone I know who works in ortho or
is impressed with the films, and the physical therapist has commented since that I must have had an excellent surgeon given my progress. The nursing staff were respectful and attentive throughout my stay. I had great, responsive pain management throughout my stay.

I had been to several Orthopedic surgeons about my knees. I was told that I had little to no cartilage under my kneecap, however they did not see any arthritis, therefore there was nothing they could do for me. I had shots, and steroid, physical therapy, and told that was the best they could do.

In August, 2011 I saw something on t.v. about how they were doing knee resculptering that was successful in helping those with no arthritis, but knee problems. I found
was one of the surgeons that did this procedure. I called and was given an appointment with Dr.
within a week. He took X-Rays, and told me I was a strong candidate for the procedure on my left knee. I was scheduled for surgery within the month. With a minor complication, the surgery was postponed due to MRSA being found during pre-op procedures. Once I was put on antibiotics, I was rescheduled one month later. I was told that if the Dr. found my knee would not benefit from resculptering, he would do a total replacement. I was awakened to the news that my knee was so bad that a total replacement was required. It has now been nearly 3 months, and I am doing extremely well.

Every appointment at the Surgery Center has been easily obtained, I arrive, and am shown into a room within 5 minutes, and the Dr. arrives almost immediately. I am extremely pleased with the service and people at

I had been told by two doctors that I couldn't possibly have a rotator cuff tear -- I had too much strength and not enough pain to indicate a tear. However, after four months of treating my shoulder for impingement with no results, I visited Dr. Belfie.

In our initial consult, Dr. Belfie was patient and friendly. He talked to me about treatment, used both my x-rays and his model shoulder to fully explain all the variables, and answered all the questions I had. I never felt rushed, and I never felt like he was pushing surgery. (In fact, he discouraged surgery unless absolutely necessary, citing the very long and difficult recovery process.)

After an MRI revealed my tear, Dr. Belfie again spent as long as I wanted discussing treatment options, and cautioning me against making a decision on surgery too hastily. He warned me in very detailed terms that recovery would be burdensome and that failure to adhere to physical therapy and immobilizaiton guidelines would jeopardize recovery and increase the risk of reinjury.

The entire

team went out of their way to make me comfortable during the surgical process. Dr. Belfie met with my wife and me before surgery, and then with my wife after surgery (so she tells me). He took digital photos of my surgical site at varying stages of the surgery, and he talked it through with my wife. (We got to keep the photos.) Once I awakened, I had plenty of time to ask any questions.

In each of my follow up appointments, Dr. Belfie has been patient, caring, and informative. He listens well and provides thorough information in response to all my questions. I couldn't be more satisfied with my care, and I recommend Dr. Belfie without reservation.

I’ve seen several other doctors at this center. They are very personal. They are very professional. They are very knowledgeable and they are up on new techniques. They’ve been highly recommended by other people. The office staff is very pleasant and efficient. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

As described in the information above. The end result is not favorable. Continue to have issues that were never present prior to injury. The thought is that with physical therapy and rehab, long term problems may have been prevented.

I would recommend him to others. The hip replacement procedure turned out very well. He has a unique way of doing the surgery and I had another hip done about 5 years ago and this was a whole lot easier. There was less pain; I was fast to recover and just the whole thing. He was really good and has the best bedside manner. The staff there is very good.

I asked a friend who had a lot of experience with things like this and she said that she had never met anyone that had a problem with Dr.

. He was so thorough and so knowledgeable. When you are over 70 people think you?re mind is gone but he is quite the opposite. I was treated like an individual; he did not go on autopilot. He considered what was the best for me. He said I was one of the hardest cases he had seen in years and he got it exactly right. You want someone who has done this a lot when you are having a hip replaced. I recommend him.

This complex and often painful surgery is undertaken by only a few very experience orthopedic surgeons in our area. Dr.

performed this surgery on me flawlessly. His surgical skills, followup, concern and warmth make him an exceptional surgeon. Within a six months I was back in regular workouts without limitations and continue to be fully active without limitations.

Dr

filled in for my lead doctor during a routine office visit. I was on crutches, post surgery, and I was concerned about my good foot--the one that hadn't spontaneously shattered while running was now, after being my only weight bearing foot for almost two months, near breaking itself. The good people at

I have another patient to see' Rising voices, incredulous, condescending looks, a theatrical display of the next patients x-rays, actually showing a discernible injury, and the storm-out. I've never been treated like that by a doctor. I would encourage anyone I can not to give him the

After having a talo-navicular fusion botched by Dr.

, DPM, Virginia Mason, which left me in a cast on my left foot, Dr. Sanjorzan (Harborview foot and ankle clinic) fixed the problem in two operations to my satisfaction with a re-do talo-navicular fusion (1st operation) and a navicular-cuniaform fusion (second operation). I am now able to walk normally off the b**** of my feet without pain. I am very happy with the outcome.
