We arrived 10 minutes early and waited 20 minutes total in the lobby where we were told to meet. No one showed up and a volunteer finally offered to call to see what was going on with our tour. The volunteer
us to a conference room where the tour was supposedly going to start. No one was there. After another 10 minutes, we went back to the lobby and then upstairs to the reception area for the birthing center. When we explained our situation, it became clear that the reception team didn't have the tour schedule. They used their video monitors to check to see if they could find the tour guide to no avail. After another 5-10 minutes, they decided to page the tour leader. We waited patiently this whole time. The reception area was a mess and full of people waiting for a baby to be born, so we just stood in the hallway. Finally, 40 minutes after our tour was supposed to start, we went to the desk to ask if we should reschedule. At that point, an available nurse offered to give us a tour. We accepted. The nurse was great. She showed us a delivery room and answered all of our questions. We were very satisfied with her assistance. Overall, we were satisfied with the tour we received because of the helpfulness of the one nurse, but I definitely left feeling that the Swedish organization is "big" and not very customer oriented. The person you deal with makes a big difference as the institution's default level of service is low.

The tour started on time and the staff was friendly. We were given a thorough tour of the facility and allowed to ask any and all questions. They
us into several empty patient rooms so we could see the differences between them. The nurse leading the tour gave us tips on how to make our stay more comfortable based on her years of experience in the unit. After the tour, the charge nurse helped me find information on family practice doctors who deliver babies at NW Hospital. She was very helpful.

He is not an alarmist and is very thorough. He has a very good bedside manner and is compassionate; you don't feel like you are a number and feel like you are a real person. He listens to me and the staff makes you feel very welcome; they always remember you when you come in. I have had no complications and will use him again in the future.

She works at SCCA. They are a very high quality organization. One thing that annoys me though is that when I go in for an appointment they put a band on my wrist as if I'm being admitted to a hospital. I understand the complexity of treating cancer patients but when I'm just going for an appointment it is somewhat irritating.

My family (my husband and I, and our three kids) have been patients at Swedish Greenlake for years and years - over a decade for me, and since they were born for the kids. I cannot detail how many times we have been to the clinic in that time, and I cannot recall ever having a less than good experience there, no matter what the issue.

I had a 10:30 a.m. appointment with Dr.
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
on 9/15/11 for a 15 minute procedure. A lot of deep thought, religious guilt, and general emotions go into making this choice and I was very anxious on this day. I waited for hours in the waiting room with no explanation or update from the staff. As required, I had eaten nothing since 9:30 a.m. After 3 hours and 15 minutes I was brought in for my consultation. I was subsequently taken to an operating room and given a shot of Demerol which caused me to vomit twice. At 2:45 p.m., 4 hours and 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, Dr.
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
entered the operating room and, without even acknowledging me, unapologetically began a diatribe about busy her day has been. She included some private information about other patients at which point I interjected and told her that I did not want that information disclosed to me and I was simply concerned about my own procedure. Dr.

then left the room. Naked from the waist down, wrapped only in a sheet, my legs numb from Demerol, I got off the table to get her so that I didn’t have to wait longer. She came back into the operating room and said that she would not perform the procedure on me, that my procedure was not as important as her earlier patients, that I was a b****, and demanded that I get out before she called security. I burst into tears and tried to get away from her into the safety of a bathroom across the hall where I could lock the door, get dressed, and leave. While in the hallway, visible to her staff and other patients, Dr.

proceeded to yell at me that I was stealing her sheet and she was going to call the police. Then she pushed me, grabbed me, blocked me, and pulled at the sheet to expose me. I have filed this assault with the Seattle Police Department. Needless to say, I could not get out of Dr.

office fast enough. She did not do my procedure nor would I ever let her touch my body again. Based on my experience, she has the potential to completely explode and, if I were anyone else looking for a doctor to perform this very stressful and emotional surgery, I would look elsewhere. Do not risk this huge event in your life with someone so abusive and hostile who is so uncompassionate and out of touch with her patients.

I found Dr H's bedside manner to be very sympathetic and attentive. She took all the time necessary to listen to my concerns, answer my questions and fully explain my options and alternatives. The only down side to the experience was that she was often running late. At times, I know this was due to issues related to surgery she was involved in. Other times I'm not sure about - perhaps all the time that she takes with patients, and which I appreciated her taking with me, was what made her late coming to my appointment from someone else's. I recall on one occasion waiting 45-60 mins past my appointment time to be seen in her office, and on the day of my medical test, I also had to wait a long time at the hospital for her to arrive from a surgery that she had been called into.

Over the years, I've found that
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
smears and internal gynecological exams were beginning to border on painful so I stopped going. However, a couple weeks ago, I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with a new doctor after several years of forgoing gyno exams. Enter Dr.
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
who was uncommonly gentle. As if that were not enough, she has an excellent bedside manner and puts you at ease. She also spends time chatting with you and asking questions. Because of this, she was able to counsel me on a couple problems that I have had for years, but did not address because I wasn't aware there were possible solutions. Also, Dr.
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
found that the internal exam was going to be too uncomfortable for me and would not yield the information she needed. So she recommended an ultra sound that is done in the same office. More internal organs can be assessed with this procedure, and it's relatively comfortable. Dr.
Seattle Obstetricians Provider Name Locked
also asked questions about my general health and made sure that they were being addressed by my primary physician. I walked out feeling like I had made a new friend who happens to also be an astute gynecologist.

Dr. Kurachi gave me amazing care. Her bedside manner was excellent. She was the perfect combination of compassion, kindness and expertise that you want in a physician. I would recommend her to anyone I know without hesitation.
