Seattle HVAC Contractors Reviews
"It started with a quote from Pat. I had car trouble and wasn't able to make it back home in time and he was very accommodating. In addition to receiving a quote from straight-forward demeanor (he didn't try to upsell non-essentials as some others did), the A-List reviews and a word-of-mouth recommendation. When we set up the appointment, I was told it was important for someone to be home at the beginning and the end of the appointment. We scheduled the time with that in mind so I would be home to let them in and my wife to let them out. Unfortunately they showed up 35 minutes early meaning my wife wouldn't be able to be there for the final inspection (because they'd already be finished). Contrary to what I was told before, the techs said this wasn't important--despite the fact that we planned our day around this schedule. The two techs got to work right away. It went fine until one of the techs had to do some work on the outside of the house while it was raining. Shortly thereafter, I came downstairs to change the laundry (which was right next to the install project) to find the dryer still running, except with all of *my* clean clothes laying in a pile on top of the dryer. Turns out the tech got wet outside, so he took it upon himself to cut in the laundry line. THE TECH PUT HIS DIRTY, SOAKED SHIRT DIRECTLY INTO THE DRYER. Unfortunately it smelled like an ashtray. In the following days, I received a follow-up call from one of the owners to ask how things went. I told him about "the dryer incident" and he seemed genuinely embarrassed and apologetic. But that's as far as it went--the thank you note made no mention of this faux pas and there was no price break or gift card included which would have been a nice touch. As for the work itself, they did a good job, particularly the skilled tech. The "dryer tech" however was a bit rough on the wall while installing the new thermostat. He did manage however to get the job done without damage. They also did a nice job of cleaning up in the basement leaving little evidence of their work. All in all it took them about 5 hours. Assuming the inappropriate behavior has been addressed (which I was assured it would be), I'd still recommend "
"A sales appointment was setup (on a Saturday) where they evaluated the space (for the furnace) as well as my house (heat gain/loss via windows and heat registers) to ensure the proper size furnace. I was really impressed with some space heaters out of his own home (since I had no heat). He has an engineering degree-so he knows what he's talking about :) We settled on an appropriate model and the install was set for that Monday. Although it got started 4 hours later than anticipated-this was due to illness so it's unavoidable and they communicated with me about updated expectations. The install was very involved and I was impressed with how hard the technician worked. It was a very rainy, blowy day and this poor guy had to be up on my roof -at my chimney. Once everything was complete; he checked everything to ensure proper functioning-including showing me the new thermostat and re-lighting the gas fireplace. "
"The installation went great. did that type of work and had told me about these heaters. They each have their own thermostat and heat very quickly and evenly. I am very happy with the work "
"I had a furnace installed in a rental property. A couple weeks later, my tenant complained that it wasn't working correctly (it would heat the house up, but then the heat would turn off and start blowing cold air), so I had SW plumbing come out to fix it. They replaced a part and said it should work. It didn't. They came back out, replaced a part, said it would work. It didn't. Came out again, same thing. I asked them to just replace the furnace, since it seemed like they gave me a bad one, but they refused. They told me my chimney liner was bad and that was the problem. I paid $800 to have the liner replaced. That didn't fix it. I called to talk to the manager ("
" his promise. So I do not recommend his services. Also at the time of the repair on 12/10 he was still the only employee of the company. So if you have a problem after an install he could be hard to reach if out of town."
"They were fast and courteous. They were punctual for the job, but, had to call him 3 times, to get the work done. They did a good job and will use the same in future."
"The piping installation around the furnace is a work of art. Very complex and detailed and done well. The head of the project, who I assume is the owner of the company,
"I called furnace from "
