"The inspection started at 8 am and we were done at noon. made sure to look at all aspects of the home to make sure my client knew what they were getting into. She writes a very thorough report and details all aspects of what she finds...no matter how minor the issues are. Great service, very professional and on time."

" is a true expert in home inspection. He very quickly found numerous deficiencies in roofing and flashing work done by the seller and significant damage to parts of wood structure. He also figured out that an old patio that was concealed by a new deck settled excessively, which explained some of the cracking and misalignment that was visible in the brick veneer. Based on the issues identified by in the exterior of the house, we decided not to purchase this home. submitted his report the next day. It was written very objectively, clearly, and with detailed descriptions and photographs of the issues. We are very thankful to for his expert work and for helping us to avoid purchasing a house with significant problems."

"We purchased our first home eight years ago with a PRESS-referred agent, and last year when it came time again to move, we knew we would start the process with PRESS.
was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and he was up to date with real estate conditions, rate trends, and lending law changes.
We met with the PRESS-referred real estate agents for a trial house showing and made our choice of whom to work with. We found an agent who we felt certain could handle the challenge of coordinating the sale of our home and the for and purchase of our new home. I was very apprehensive over how well this could be coordinated. Our agent was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient with us through the whole process, and was very prompt with followup from phone calls and emails. Both the sale of our home and the purchase of the new home went very smoothly. We compared good faith estimates from three mortgage brokers and it was the broker referred by PRESS with the most favorable offer. checked with us regularly during the entire process to ask how the process was going, and personally attended the house inspection. We felt that we had the support of the PRESS service every step of the way.
We have been very happy with our home and the home buying experience both times we have worked with PRESS. I always recommend to friends that their home begin with PRESS."

"Our whole experience with PRESS was excellent, from start to finish. There was one hiccup early on when we began working with one of the agents recommended by and had some communication issues. After a week or so, we decided to instead work with one of the other agents that we had met with after being introduced by . The agent we ended up working with was fantastic. We were incredibly impressed with her level of organization, her professionalism and the sheer amount of work she was willing to do to help us find the right house. She was also a great person to work with and we had a great time shopping for a home with her.
has a long history with the agents, brokers etc that he recommends, and in return for bringing the agents clients, he receives a portion of their commission. This system is great for the homebuyer, as you get all of 's experience and guidance, as well as introductions to excellent professionals.
Everyone that we worked with (real estate agent, home inspector, mortgage broker and ) had worked with each other before, so communication between all parties was excellent. We had a fairly complicated purchase (a bank-owned property, owned by an out of state bank, financed with an FHA loan), but the professionals we worked with did everything they could to make the process as painless and stress-free as possible.
I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use PRESS again, in fact I wouldn't consider purchasing property in the Puget Sound area without using them. I wholeheartedly recommend PRESS to anyone looking to buy real estate in Seattle."

" was by far the best inspector I have ever used. He found countless issues with the deteriorating building and saved me from an expensive mistake. He was knowledgeable, professional and very thorough. His 27-page report included many photos with problem areas highlighted, along with detailed written information. I plan to use him again whenever I need a property inspection."

"I have been through the inspection process a few times on previous homes but far and away has been the best inspector I have encountered. His 59 page report was a bit daunting at first but I appreciated the incredible detail of every aspect of the house and it was a great help in the negotiation process. As a previous poster stated, I will be calling on in the future to review any major home repair issues to be sure things are being done correctly."

"Nice enough people, but when asked about things we noticed they 100% misdiagnosed. We were concerned about some dry wall cracking and lip bending down on a corner and they dismissed our concerns that it was water related - it is.
They missed numerous other issues including leaking kitchen sink, floor damage, and various water related problems.
They may be nice, they give you reports quickly but all you ask of an inspection company is to explain the visible and check the visible - they failed at this and now we are paying the price. "

"[Comments continued] I called because of the good reviews on Angie?s List. I talked with who ever answered the phone and explained what I wanted. She passed me on to their scheduler and I told him what I wanted. He said that they could do an inspection and I agreed. When the electrician arrived, I explained to him what I wanted. He looked at an outside breaker box that I have and then my inside breaker box and said that it looked fine. I then had my re-pipe done. I went around the house and used a plug that checks outlet wirings...I had done this before the re-pipe and everything passed. Unfortunately, I find that after the re-pipe, most of the outlets in the kitchen and all the outlets in one of my bedrooms now show as ?Open Ground?. The power and stuff still work but this was what I was trying to prevent by having inspect my wiring. I tried to contact the President of today to complain that they did not perform the service asked but only got voice mail. I would recommend that people not call unless they are just interested in wasting there money.
UPDATE (04/22/2010) I requested an electrical inspection from because I was trying to determine if I would have any electrical problems due to a planned re-pipe. The inspection did not any problems yet I did have some problems affter the re-pipe and filed a negative report on on April 2, 2010. There was a problem with the original service provided but everyone makes mistakes. stepped up to the plate and did everything they could to correct the issue and make me a satisfied customer.
Since the time of that report, they have refunded the cost of the inspection, worked incredibly hard to correct the errors in my electrical system, been very responsive & prompt, and frankly doing what consumers often can only hope for in a contractor. They have been very responsive to my worries and concerns and worked through the issues...including educating me and helping me to feel more comfortable with the results by getting an inspection done. I paid to fix the issues resulting from my re-pipe and to correct some other unrelated issues so I am filing this additional report both for the new service performed and to correct my previous report.
I am very happy with the resulting work and feel that my electrical system has been successfully been brought back up to code."

"They are very thorough and non-sensationalistic in terms of explaining things to buyers and sellers. They understand older homes and the nuances in it as they have many years of experience. I am a real estate agent and I refer to clients."

" inspected a house for us in West Seattle. She made herself available with very little advance notice. She clearly had been around the outside of the house by the time I arrived. She began by explaining her standard process and asked if there was anything special that we were hoping to get from her. I gave her a couple things to keep in mind (like the fact that we hope to eventually finish the basement) and she tailored her feedback to accommodate these. She welcomed me in shadowing her during the inspection and answered my questions throughout - occasionally hushing me when she was trying to keep her train of thought or when she took her notes. Her expertise in energy efficiency was obvious at several points in the process, especially when addressing the furnace.
What I liked most was 's apparent candor. It was clear that she was working for US -- in no way capitalizing on our homebuyer enthusiasm by -coating nor trying too hard by nitpicking. On a couple items (that I think some inspectors might have identified as big issues) she explained the issues thoroughly and why she saw them as manageable; on the other hand she pointed out some things that may not have looked particularly serious and explained why they could represent a significant expense. We received her very professional (yet readable) report via email on the same day and used what we found to be most significant in our final negotiations with the sellers.
In short, was really what we wanted from a home inspector: professional, thorough, impartial and personalized. You'll be happy with . "
