Handyman Reviews in Seattle

Very professional outfit... The owner,
, took his time to understand my project and gave some great, honest feedback. I also appreciate the fact that if
wasn't happy about how something turned out, he made sure that it got fixed. He has a great eye.
They weren't available right away, but I hired them because I had a good feeling about their work... The final project turned out beautifully. Some decisions had to be reworked and it took a little more time than I expected, but the whole thing came together in what I had imagined.
, the guy assigned to the project, was really meticulous... He took care of everything. He made the project as easy on me as possible. If you do hire J & M, ask for
to do the work.

I've employed
several times during the past four years for all kinds of things, from installing doors, painting, electrical and plumbing work to general yard clean up and assembling things I've ordered on line. He always comes through, does a great job, leaves things cleaner than when he arrived and is an absolute pleasure to work with. On this occasion I had ordered kits for feral cat houses, since I seem to have acquired a few regular visitors.
agreed to spend part of a Sunday helping me with this chore and found extra time to clean up an overgrown slope in the back garden. He arrived on time and before I knew it had those cat houses all put together, in place where I wanted them to be, straw inside, all taken care of. And the packaging cleaned up and in the truck to take to the dump. Then he tackled the slope, cutting back nasty blackberry vines and cutting back the hop vine from the other plants so it wouldn't choke them, but leaving it to grow up the chain link fence per the original landscaper's "vision." (don't ever plant hop vines if you don't want them to take over everything!) It was a warm day and he worked extra hard. I convinced him to sit in the shade, drink an iced tea and have a snack before he had to move on to his next job for that Sunday, taking all the brush and packaging with him, leaving my yard without a
of the work that had been done that morning. The man works extremely hard, juggling many customers, phone calls, and business tasks, mostly by himself. He is honest, conscientious, and has a huge heart. As a senior with limited disabilities, I truly appreciate all his caring ways. He has more work than he can handle and I feel blessed that he's been able to help me when I've needed him. In the grand scheme of things, those are the things the truly count.

Tried to call for a quote.
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
fails to identify himself when answering the phone then tells me not to bother because he's too busy. Rude, unprofessional and amateurish. Why would I want to hire this guy?
- Sean P.

we've finally wrapped up our experience with
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
, after him spending about fifteen days here over the last three months. "
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
" is certainly an apt name--there's nothing this guy can't do!
If I could describe
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
in one word it would be "patience".
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
takes his time to think about the task at hand and makes sure he's doing it right. Because of this, he doesn't make many mistakes and doesn't do anything the customer wouldn't want. In the long run, it's worth it for him to take a little longer on projects than another contractor might because you know you're not going to have to go back and correct things. Because of this, the customer also needs to be patient--you need to be able to have conversations with
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
to pinpoint what exactly it is that you want and what exactly he can do and sometimes you need to wait until he has an opening because he has a busy schedule.
I would highly recommend working with
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and I imagine we'll be doing the same down the road!

He I contacted several carpenters about installing some baseboard trim. Two or three immediately grumbled about how far out they were booked and didn't think they could get to my little job. One never returned my message. When calling
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
immediately asked for details on my job, let me know he could come out within a few days to take a look and give me a bid. He was working on a job in my area, so he was able to stop by when he'd finished a project. Since it was a smaller project and would only take a few hours, he said he could fit it in between projects this week.
He arrived promptly, and cut and installed the trim neatly. Since he finished even more quickly than we'd thought, I asked if he had time to help me install a new door knob and he was able to fit that in no problem. I found his pricing to be absolutely reasonable and appreciated his positive attitude. I'll definitely contact
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
again when I have projects come up.

Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
is great to work with - easy, fast, efficient, he gets what the customer is asking for and thinks about creative ways to get the work done while being high quality. He's a really great guy on top of that who is easy to communicate and work with. We will definitely come back to him again for future work.

Very nice people, seem honest. My challenge was with timeliness! It took months to complete a two-week job. My recommendation would be to be sure to build in DATES in a contract with the company with fines attached to lateness. They didn't seem to have a consistent crew, people were "sick" etc (or perhaps simply working on the jobs with due dates.). In addition, be sure ALL expenses are included in their initial bid--they left off demolition and a few other things so those costs came out later.
Very nice people, as they get their crews more stable, they should be good to work with. Feel free to take a look a the work!

It was an incredibly smooth project, ran according to schedule and was executed by Ehren, our assigned lead craftsman, flawlessly. The project came in on budget (apart from some changes that we made), the quality of the work was spectacular and the interaction with
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and his team throughout was extremely professional. As an indicator of how great these guys are, a few weeks after Ehren and team completed the project, our
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
electronic shower valve control broke and needed to be replaced under warranty. I called
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and he worked with Ehren to find time between projects to come in and replace the valve for us, which he did in two days, so that our shower was up and running again. We also asked Ehren to install a panel on the wall where the valve is so that we would not have to break the wall in future if there was an issue with the valve. Ehren created a custom panel for us and installed it with magnets to make it easy to remove if we need to get in there. This was incredible service above and beyond what was required to keep the project running smoothly. We also really appreciated how
Seattle Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and Ehren balanced their new projects to find time to help us. We would heartily recommend J & M remodel and repair for their professionalism, high quality work and empathy, we love our new bathrooms and would not think of asking anybody else if we have any future remodeling work.

The cleaner was very nice, but extraordinarily young (15 or 16?) which was surprising. I realized he
only had 2 hours for a house cleaning- so I asked him to dust the condo and if still time a quick bathroom clean. He started in bathrooms and took over an hour on our guest bathroom (a 3/4 bath)- then 50 minutes on our main bathroom. With 10 minutes left my husband realized he hadn't left the bathrooms and asked him to dust as that is what we really wanted. He dusted one table then it was time to go. The bathrooms look nice, but I don't understand how it took 2 hours on 1.5 bathrooms and that was basically all that got done in 2 hours. I took a half day at work to let him in, yet quite frankly I could've cleaned both of the bathrooms in 30 minutes combined myself. Again, he was very nice and respectful, I'm guessing he just has extraordinarily little experience in house cleaning, hence the length of time it took him. I'm really surprised with this company that they hire young teenagers and send them to peoples homes like this.
I gave this feedback to the company with their follow up to me, which I got a response "we hire people on qualification not age." that's fine, but sending someone this young (and clearly not qualified) into a home alone to clean like this is questionable. Also, the company offered me one hour towards another house cleaning booking. Considering I won't be using them again, not so much worth it!

He did a fabulous job. He was short staffed but still made a big effort to come to my house and help me out. I would definitely hire him again.
