"Excellent service. Very prompt and professional. A little pricey - $135 per hour for the first hour but excellent work"

"It went fantastic! We bonded with immediately. He is such a great guy and genuinely cares about his work and his client's happiness. We have a 1945 cape cod style home that had a very outdated and oddly shaped kitchen, and a bathroom with rotting drywall and a full size window in the shower (God knows why). gave us the bid for labor only and gave us an estimate on material costs. We worked it out to be exactly to our budget. We liked paying for materials separately because it allowed us to control costs and not pay any -up a contractor may have added. Once we accepted bid he and his guys were able to start within 10 days or so. Project Start: Like most projects, the demo went quickly. His guys were extremely clean and took great care to make sure dust was contained within the confines of the kitchen and bathroom. They put up plastic sheets and had an industrial air purifier to help with the dust. They had a large trailer in the driveway to haul away all the debris (which there was plenty of). Middle of Project: During the project the work went smoothly and communicated well at each phase. As with all projects like this you find a few surprises. For us these were minimal and was always willing to ensure what needed to be done was taken care of the right way. As we were discussing ways to make the kitchen as efficient and spacious as possible, we decided to expand the entryway to be wider than it was originally. During this process found that the beam spanning the boundary between the kitchen and living room would need some additional support to ensure it was safe. Many contractors would have simply glossed over this and done what was cheap and easy. does it the right way, even if it slows down the project. End of Project: Wow! What an amazing new kitchen and bathroom we have. We are so thrilled with the space created for us. Almost 1 year after the job was completed we couldn't be happier with our kitchen. It is beautiful! And the scrap pile on the patio was cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell it was ever there. We LOVE the remodel! It's not often people hug their contractor, but both my wife and I gave a hearty hug at the end of this project. We will definitely call for our next project!"

"They did a great job for me. I have got a backstairs going downstairs to a basement door that had been on the outside, and the outer wall was poorly executed when it was put up. It was basically sucking in water and was slightly rotting. There were certainly some problems there, and I needed to have somebody who was definitely much more knowledgeable versus hiring a general that did not have any wood rot repair background. They sent over very knowledgeable personnel, and they were very thorough. They had a number of different options for approach; they could do a quick fix or a moderate fix with more fixes later. We had a number of different elements going on there. They were able to use some of my own drywall material that I have available here and some other material had to be purchased. Other than that, the work just went smoothly. They were very good, and they did a good job and a good cleanup. They were here on time and left on time. We had no issues or problems. They were a little pricey. I would use them again only for select repairs. It would depend on the repair itself and whether or not I would be able to handle something myself. If it is not highly critical, in an area where I simply have some minor fixes and stuff like that, they are a little bit more expensive than I can handle."

" managed to cover the dark wall beautifully with just a coat of primer plus one coat of paint. The trick was to get tinted primer and to buy quality paint. I was impressed with his thoroughness, even though I've used for other jobs and have been very pleased then, too. He removed two wall heaters, a heavy sconce light, a security alarm and other items from the wall so that they wouldn't get paint on them and the wall would be fully covered underneath. And he quickly and expertly remounted everything once he'd finished and the paint was dry. He is very fast, but also very good. The corners where the wall meets the cream color ceiling and the much lighter green of adjoining walls look great, and they are always tricky. I've called on a few times now for various types of jobs and I'm very happy with his work. I've recommended him to some of my closest friends, and he just finished building an entire bathroom for one of them. They were thrilled. Makes me think I might need a new bathroom now, too!"

" arrived on-time, performed the services needed, and cleaned-up well afterwards. He also removed some cobwebs from a high location that we could not access with our standard step ladder. We spent about one hour discussing potential bath and kitchen remodeling plans, including how to support a bearing wall that we would like to remove."

"his original estimate was fair, and he held to his estimate. There were no surprises. He was punctual and completed the project in the three days he estimated, allowing the necessary time for the concrete to set. The nine neighbors are all very pleased with the work performed."

"Out of perhaps a dozen contractors in the past nine months, this was by far the worst experience we have had.
Communication with the owner was very strained and full of confusion.
The worker showed up at the house without arranging for a day to do the work. He did this multiple times. Other workmen for different projects let him in to do the work. No one from the company contacted us to let us know they were in our house on any of the (maybe 5?) times they came to the house. Very bad form!
The worker never once cleaned up after himself. In a bizarre twist, we appreciated the mess because at least we knew when he had come by our house to work.
The owner claimed that the workmanship would be of very high quality, but we have found several problems with the work. In one case, the windowsill was not built to the correct dimensions, so the mason had to put the bricks back on in a weird way so that the look of the window from the outside does not match the others. In one other instance, they did not put a seal around the attic hatch, despite more than one discussion about how we wanted that done.
The owner came into our house without knocking on the door one day we were there. Perhaps this was supposed to be a sign of familiarity but it freaked us out. One other time I came home to find the owner in our yard, even though we had not arranged to meet him that day.
The most unprofessional part was that the owner threatened to put a on our house. This was just two days after we had received his bill and was in response to me questioning why the bill was ~$300 (one-third of the total bill!) more than we had agreed upon. He was upset at how the project stalled when we found an unexpected problem in the middle of the project and was getting nervous about meeting his payroll. But still, his attitude was about as unprofessional as I have encountered. Trying to intimidate us over $300 without giving an explanation for the higher cost was unacceptable. No explanation for the cost ever came forth. No accounting for any of the time or materials was ever produced. We compromised halfway on the extra amount."

"We did not use , but we should have. His estimate was very reasonable and he did not waste any time. He had me take pictures of the small projects and attach them to an email detailing the small projects. It was an efficient process and he came across as knowing what he was doing."

"Excellent.... from the smile at the door, conscientious and timely work effort to completion of required jobs. will return to finish the electrical work now that I have purchased the parts needed."

" lives up to his name " ." He was always punctual and respectful. He kept the workplace clean. He gave us a good idea of the timeline for the project. The price was fair, and he did excellent work. We had used him on a bathroom installation a couple of years earlier, and were happy with that work too. We plan to use him again in our new house. For the actual work, first there was a day of demolition, ripping out the old cabinets, and lath and plaster walls and ceiling. Then set up a temporary kitchen in our dining room for us to use during the project. He had a small sink that he installed for our use until the new sink was installed. That was nice because between the grill outside, and the microwave we set up in the dining room, we could eat a few meals at home, thus saving us money. Once the demolition was complete, we were able to see up into the rafters of the ceiling to the pitch of the roof, and we wondered if we ought to vault the ceiling, even though it wasn't part of the original bid. When we approached about adding this to our bid, he was happy to accommodate this request, even though it was going to add an additional week to the project. had to do a lot of extra jiggering to make our cabinets fit into the space and also to make our floor level. It was an old house and everything was out of square. But you'd never be able to tell based on the finished product. From the exterior, the new cedar siding was painted, and you can't tell that the doors or windows were ever in different locations. He really did an excellent job making the new kitchen and doors/windows look like they were always part of the house (though much nicer than the rest, to be honest). The total time was about 5 weeks, start to finish. The transformation was incredible."
