Angie's List In The Press

Seattle Glass Repair Companies Reviews

"Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and accommodating. I had trouble understanding the differences between a few options and the staff answered my questions both in person and via email. They easily coordinated with my contractor to come over and take measurements, and the install went very smoothly as well while I was home. The final product was exactly what I wanted.
"I've never had such a bad experience with a service provider on Angie's List before. I submitted an online form and waited for a call back. Finally got them on the phone and they took down details for shower glass we need put in. No follow up happened not once, but 3 times. I called to get follow up and finally got an appointment scheduled for them to come on site and take measurements and talk about options. They then proceeded to no-show without a call or any notice. This is not a way to run a business.
"Great. Other companies were not interested to quote on such a small job. They were eager and willing. Had the best price and we're fast and efficient.
"Everything went super-smoothly. The visit to measure and discuss was easily scheduled and went the dude presented options and suggestions. The quote came in right were we expected and arrived quickly the next day or so. Installation was sooner that we expected and again was easy to schedule and went super-quick.
"Good people to work with, if a little bit disorganized, it seemed.

, the installer, came out exactly when promised to take measurments, but then there were delays, perhaps with the contracted fabricator/factory in getting the glass piece made, and then made right. When he came to install it, a week later than I'd originally thought (I'm only available on saturdays, so when not on one day, it had to be a week later), it had been made ever so slightly too big, so had to go back for adjustment. Second time, a week later, it fit like a glove. Perfect. The price apparently was mistakenly low, being quoted for the easier triple pane that I'd originally had, and not bumped up to the price for the more complex laminated version. But to their credit and a marker for their integrity, they honored that mistakenly lower quote without hesitation. I appreciated the lower, if unintentional, price break. Frankly, I like these people, and they did a great job, once it actually was complete. I think the delays/errors were in the factory (they don't own that factory), so not entirely under their control. But it was nevertheless briefly annoying to me at the time even though not really their fault. Were it not for those probs, I'd have given them straight A's.
"Not only did they do the work mentioned, they did extra work like removing old broken window hardware and replacing old rusted hinges. Everything fits and operates like new. I have used this company, and

specifically, over the past 15 years as we restore our 1931 home. He has always been patient, thoughtful and creative in addressing our window related problems. He understands old homes and appreciates those of us that want to restore them correctly. I only wish this company offered services beyond their current offerings. I would use them for everything they do."
"October- The company made good onthe error and replace my mirror with excellence less than a week later. I have updated my rating based on their abilty to "do the right thing".

There was a delay in getting the mirror made and installed due to a back log of orders, so I agreed to the date of 9-21.
The installers brought in the mirror, were careful, courteous, and polite. They installed the mirror and noticed how big the hole cut out was for a fixture..they asked why it was measured so big (5.5 inches, instead of 4.5) and of course I had no idea, I relied onthem as experts int he business to know how to measure.
I put the plate for the new light up against the hole, and the hole was bigger than the plate, and placed the old light up against the hole, and it was too small...where in the heck did he come up with this random siz? The men were still in my driveway and I went to ask them, and all I heard was "i cannot speak for the guy who measured" There was no offer to remove the newly installed mirror (glued on at this point..) and I told them I was calling theri office- I was told how sorry they were by the girl that answered the phone, (she never asked my name or work order number) and I was quickly transferred to

, her manager- ring, ring got his voicemail---I provided the details of my experience andinability to have a light in my bathroom to his voice mail...waited over an call back- I called again, and was told

was out of the office for the day and no one could help me- no offer to remove it, or measure correctly for a replacement piece. I guess

makes all the decisions.
I am now looking for another light that may fit, and of course have not found one. All lights that will fit are consistent with either a 4.4 of 4.5 sizing.
Terrible customer service, and an extremely negative experience with no resolution in sight...I now have a beautifully remodeled bathroom with no light, and this was to be the last thing done- so upset by their lack of concern or efforts to make it right-

"I purchased a beautiful display case from a company in Ohio that I've dealt with for years. TWICE, UPS delivered two of the larger glass pieces broken! After the 2nd time, the owner of the company suggested I find a local company to make them, at his expense. I went to Angie's List and found

-Lite. The owner of the Ohio company emailed them with what was needed and I called them to set up delivery.
They were friendly and helpful in what had become a very frustrating situation. I was concerned that the unusal situation might somehow make them hesitate, but the glass was made to specifications in about 2 days and delivered it to my door less than a week after the initial contact from the Ohio company. The glass fits and looks perfect and I could not be more pleased. They were wonderful to deal with from start to finish!

"After getting 3 estimates, NW Shower Door was the most professional, in appearance and had the best price. It was inline with what I thought the job was worth.Their email stated that I would be contacted with a install date/time. I never received a call within the timeframe they mention in their contact. I had to contact them. They showed up, ripped out the old shower enclosure and after several hours told me they door was the wrong size and would need to be re-ordered. The workers cleaned up a little but still left the bath floor with debris I had to clean up after. In addition, I would think that BEFORE you rip out a customers shower enclosure, you would make sure you have the correct parts. Instead, I was left with a shower that was unusable.I never received a call from anyone apologizing for the inconvenience and in fact, I had to call to ask when the job would be finished. I was given a time for them to finish the job and then a few hours later I received a VM changing it to a later time.I waited the entire timeframe I was given and then called asking what's the status. They weren't even close to being there and I would have to wait until another job was finished. I mentioned that A) they screwed up the first time B) I had to take more time off of work and C) I expected more from them.

, the scheduler told me that she just made the phone calls. So apparently it's their policy to not verify parts, leave a mess, not show up on time and not apologize for any inconvenience they've caused or attempt to rectify the situation.
"I reviewed Angie's list for recommendations (a little challenging, as not always clear the difference between replacing glass in a window vs. replacing a window!) I called
Seattle Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
and they were able to schedule someone to get measurements within a few days within a 2 hour timeframe. He arrived within the first half hour of the time frame, was personable and professional and proceeded to measure my window for a replacement. He gave me an estimate for the cost as well as how long it would take for the new window to come in. He said it could take as long as 3 weeks, but most likely would be sooner but he didn't want to give me a false date so erred on the side of it being longer. He asked if I needed add'l help securing the broken window, but I had already covered it up securely.
I got a call in under 2 weeks, and set up a time for the installation. Once again I was given a 2 hour timeframe for arrival, and once again came within the first half-hour. fast process, except for some shards that had gotten into the other side of the sliding glass. Because I had already cleaned up all the shards of glass from within the window and surrounding area, they didn't need to do that work but did point out that he'd expected to have to do that work.
Only recommendations I'd make is to have the intitial person I called outline the process a little bit better. Since I don't replace glass regularly, I wasn't sure if it would be replaced during that first visit, or just measurements taken, and definitely didn't think I'd need another 2 weeks with a broken window. Upfront info would let me know what to expect - I'm fine with how it all went, but would like to have process articulated upfront whenever possible (and realize I could have asked, but didn't really know what to ask. Thanks!
