On the plus side, the door was installed on time, at quoted price and the work seems to be well done. On the minus side, we seemed to have a disconect with the sales department,which was not very responsive and didn't take the time to understand our needs."

He did not tell me that he was gong to do this or ask me where would be the best place to put it. "It was late, and I'd let the lights outside the garage door burn out. Not being able to see that the door wasn't completely up, I backed right into the bottom panel of my aluminum/glass garage door. His and his crew came out the next day and helped me bend the door back into shape enough that it would close (manually). They also removed the glass since it was a hazard. was able to do from his records. They were out the day it arrived. And they were so quiet about installing it that I didn't even know they were here until they were almost done. Additionally, they changed the chain tension to help the door close quieter. Most of the cost was actually the door panel. Their labor rates were far below that of another company I contacted. Coincidentally, the door tension cord snapped a few months later, and they were out _that morning_ to fix it for a reasonable fee ($110, I think). We're Tip-Top door customers for life. Thanks!"

The person setting up the appointment informed me that the on-site visit would cost $89, which would also cover ...more the first 30 minutes of labor. She said that in almost every case, the problem can be fixed in the 30 minute time frame. I set up an appointment to have the technician come to my home and perform the repairs. The person showed up on time, diagnosed the problem (faulty sensors) and began repairs. As advertised, the repairs were completed in the 30-minute time frame. There was an additional cost for replacement of the sensors. However, the technician also made several adjustments to my springs and other opening hardware during the 30-minute repair period. The door now works better than it ever had before. "

"I called to get an estimate and I must have called right before the lunch hour because the gentleman was very distant and he could have cared less about what I told him. He told me that he would get back to me and hung up on me but I never heard back from them. I was disappointed in the company."
