Seattle Flooring Installers Reviews

"I interviewed five flooring contractors and I selected
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
because, when I met him, I was convinced of his ability and desire to do a good job and because he offered me a top-of-the-line, nailed down hardwood floor for a cost competitive with what I was being offered by others for engineered, floating flooring. I also especially liked that he was an independent contractor and not a salesman from a big flooring company.
I was concerned how it was possible to install new flooring in a fully finished apartment with no garage or outside space to move furniture. This was not a problem for

and

. I packed up small items and they moved all the furniture, the
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, the refrigerator, the washer and dryer--everything. And, when they were finished they affixed felt protectors on all my furniture and placed each piece back in its original place.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
installed the flooring exactly as I wanted it: North and South in the hall, kitchen, and bedroom; and East and West in the living room. He made beautiful transitions into each change of direction and at the entry door.
In the past I have dealt with contractors who were argumentative or who found reasons to inflate their original estimates in ways that were not convincing. This did not happen with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was always in good humor, he charged me exactly what he quoted, and he offered to take care of any problem that comes to my attention.
My experience with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was by far the most satisfactory I have had with any contractor.

"We arrived at the
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showroom fully prepared to 'sign up' to have our hardwood floors replaced. We were there early evening, with our 3 year old, and 3 month old. We were told that the salesman had to 'finish up some email' and that he'd be 15 or 20 minutes. It's important to mention that the showroom was EMPTY except for the 3 salesmen that were lingering around, apparently too busy doing email to actually help paying customers.
When we were told that we'd need to wait, we asked if anyone else was available. That didn't seem to go over very well, and we were grumpily pointed towards another salesman. We explained that our h/w floor had been damaged during a robbery, and needed to be replaced. We asked what our options were for removal (as it was glued) and for replacement, we got a long (very very long) song and dance about how awful removing glued floors were, that it was an awful job, very difficult, and that no-one would really do it. When asked what our options were, we were told removal was the only option. Confused? Yup, so were we. Because that was followed by another song and dance about how awful ripping up hardwood was when it had been glued to a slab. So we again asked what our options were, thinking we'd missed something. We were again told that our only option was removal. At this point, we'd been there for about 25 minutes (I'm not joking) and we still hadn't even seen any flooring samples!
We asked several times to see what kind of samples they had, and told them what kind of wood we were looking for. We had to force the issue, because the salesman was still only interested in talking about how difficult it was to remove glued flooring. After another 10 minutes, and still no flooring samples were shown, we were getting annoyed. We were finally rushed through a few samples, but not really told anything about them. They were just pointed out and we were moved on to the next one. At that point, with a now very hungry and bored 3 yr old and very tired 3 month old, we decided to cut our losses and leave.

"The salesman at the store was very helpful and no pressure. He had a lot of experience in the flooring industry and gave me lots of helpful information. The installers arrived on time, worked quickly and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to use
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
again.

"Bill worked within the timeline set by my general contractor, and specified the protection he thought appropriate during the period between completing the refinishing and completing the remodel. He thought I should stain the floors, but accepted my choice. There were complaints from people in other units on my floor and from the person who lives above me. They had small dogs and birds that had the potential to be hurt by the fumes. I don't know that the problem was avoidable, but both parties would have appreciated advance notice that the fumes were coming. The lady upstairs appreciated the response she got from my general contractor. The building manager helped air out my floor and the floor above and he didn't think that the fumes were unusually bad.

"It went very well.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
were very responsive (responding quickly to phone calls, texts and emails), friendly, helpful and professional.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came and gave us a quote for the tear down and framing before the project and stuck exactly to the price he gave. Installation of the floors plus doors and trim was negotiated during the project and ther price for that work was very fair.
Throughout the project they were friendly and very helpful. They offered to build us a walk in wardrobe (and did not charge us for this in the end) informing us that the new room would not count as a bedroom if we did not do this. This was extra work for them, for no extra money.
They always cleaned up after themselves very well. They also cleaned up after our other contractors (plumber/electrician) who left a mess and did not care to clean up.
They were way more helpful than they needed to be - offering to pick up materials that we had agreed to provide (doors etc). Again - this cost them extra work and we did not pay extra.
They also did more than we expected when doing the trim work, going as far as caulking everything in.
Any little details that were not as they liked them, they took care of, returning as many times as it took to get the work up to their own standards of quality, which were high. This effort I really appreciated. We did not have to raise any issues with them as anything we might have thought to comment on, they already took care of on their own initiative before we had a
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to comment on it. They also took care of a few things we would not have noticed.
All in all a pleasure to work with and very good value for money.

was diligent in asking good questions to clarify our plan and offered advice that ultimately improved the plan. We also worked with a designer, Kayron Brewer of Studio kb. We as very supportive and worked well with her on any issues or questions that came up. The work he and his men did is great; electrical, plumbing, concrete, tile
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, tile floor, tile wall, built-in tile shower bench, quartz counter top, bench, and window sill, painting, heated floor, vanity/sink install. He was also unusually responsive to our concerns and preferences. He recommended using an epoxy grout which doesn’t smell once it’s cured and which doesn’t require re-sealing and we look good in 5 years when we want to sell. We was very responsive and offered to pick up quartz and finish it himself so we could remain on schedule for Christmas completion. He picked up additional tile and can light, too. We found
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and his installers to be real craftsman when it comes to tile work. Not only was their work meticulous and polished, but he had an “eye” for quality and aesthetics but he knew when to ask for our input In addition, we and his crew found him to be professional, polite, honest, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with. We have teen daughters so we were a little worried about strangers in our home. But they were nothing but respectful. They vacuumed their way out of the house every night and painted the hall outside the bath. And they finished everything and cleaned up the worked area in garage and all the construction debris were taken to the bump. All in all,
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
exceeded our expectations and we are very excited about out new bath. We highly recommend working with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and have 2 more bathrooms for him to remodel in the next year.

"The work on sight was almost all expertly done. There were issues with ordering of the hardwood, though that was the fault of suppliers, however this is a small company and so their access to suppliers is necessarily more limited than some of the larger corporate flooring companies. The personal service feel is the trade off that makes the extra time in ordering worth it. Once the install began the biggest problems arose from poor communication and lack of familiarity with the our specific needs on the part of the project manager. I would think that in order to avoid misunderstandings a project manager would visit a site at least once, but this was not the case and nearly every mistake in ordering and manpower seemed to arise from this disconnect. Everything came out okay and if you're someone who enjoys micromanaging you will probably mesh just fine with this company. If you want to be hands-off and let it all be taken care of by them, be prepared for stutters and starts as the workers battle with the uninformed office, however it is likely the finished product will be of superior quality.

"did a fantastic job. clean and neat. very professional. but the process really smells up the house for more than a week (not their fault, just the chemical used to seal the floor).

was great. I had 2 days left to complete a month long bathroom project along with everything else i needed to do to get my house on the
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. with one day notice,
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was able to send
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
out to complete everything in the bathroom, allowing me to focus on cleaning the garage.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was very efficient. I was able to tell him what need to be done, and he just did it. Much better than the so-called Handyman I had helping me before. I wish I talked to
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
a month early. I will definitely contact them for my next flooring need.
Thank you!

Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
did a great job with the floor. It looks much better than it did before, as there were some weak spots and missing joists in some areas of the house. He also repaired some strange stairs and leveled out some areas that were weird to walk on. The installed flooring looks great and all thresholds are even and look nice together....more /> There was some confusion on whether he would install the painted baseboards that I provided, but in the end baseboards are easy for me to install so I will just do them myself. There was a slight scrape on the wall from them installing new subfloor, and when I pointed it out
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
nicely fixed it before finishing the job.
My only complaint is that
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
seems to have alot of work, and so scheduling was slightly strange. My rental is currently empty and so it wasn't a big deal, but if I had wanted this done in a timely manner I don't think he would have been able to meet any deadlines.
