Kenji and his flooring are just awesome. He provided the most cost effective solution to a difficult flooring problem in our basement. He leveled a very uneven surface that was over old ceramic tile. Kenji is a hoot to work with and he did everything exactly the way he promised.

When we were in the store to look at carpet, the salesman was very attentive and helpful
When I called with my selection and wanted to schedule the install, salesman was courteous and seemed eager to please.
However, he did not call me back when he said he would and I had to chase him down.
The work was scheduled in a timely manner....More /> Installer arrived on time.
Refused to remove shoes when I asked.

The only glitch in all of the work was a lack of communication about how the old floors and the new floors would transition. This was probably more the responsibility of our GC to communicate to us. They began laying toungue and groove floors in the new kitchen which didn't transition well with the original top-nailed floors. We had them stop and revise the work to include top-nailed floors through out for a better and more seemless transition. I was impressed at how quickly they were able to get the new materials onsite and make up for the lost time in the schedule. I wish the problem hadn't occurred in the first place but their response and willingness to make it right was helpful. I also appreciated the way they had me review stain samples on the actual floor prior to finishing. It gave me a better idea of what the final floors would look like over the small fan deck swatches provided.

They did a great job and it wasn't an easy one. Great folks to work with, I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone without reservation.
Very down-to-earth, easy to work with people.

and his team were great! They were professional from beginning to finish and we ended up with an outstanding final product. We wanted to do a major remodel to the main floor of our house. We had some ideas about what we wanted, but didn't have anything set in stone. Out of three bids,
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was not the least expensive, but not the most either. We ended up going with the
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
bid due to the detail in the proposal and the fact that it was easy to chat with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. After the first few meetings with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, he helped suggest vendors, engineers and review the plans that we had. He was very easy to work with and his team reflected his professionalism, while at the same time being friendly, flexible and easy to work with. We had a few surprises during the project, and after the initial bid, we decided to do some additional work. One of the larger changes was to add roof wok to the project. Due to the weather, the decision and work was very time sensitive.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
pulled out all the stops and more than doubled his team's size in order to pull the roof, restructure (which allowed us a raised ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom) and get a new roof on before the weather turned on us. For the inside of the house,

an his project manager,

worked with us wonderfully. This was our first large remodel, and
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's contacts and suggestions were very helpful and the subcontractors were great. Also, since this was our first major project, we didn't plan as much as we could have up front.

's team was very flexible with any changes or additions that we decided to include. The attitude was one of "How can we best accomplish this to give you the house that you want?", instead of "That's more work or more time, let's just take the easy way out." Our project encompassed entirely the first floor of our house. The kitchen an bathroom were completely taken down to the bare bones, even to the point of removing several layers of old flooring and bringing three rooms' floors to the same level. We removed two long sections of wall by the kitchen and staircase, which opened up the house incredibly. We added forced air heating, which required ducting to be added to service all rooms in the house. We have plans for a future remodel and addition of a bathroom upstairs, so
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
helped to run plumbing upstairs along the entire length of the house, giving us many more options for the future bathroom placement. We moved several doors around, added hardwood flooring in the main living room, kitchen and staircase.

's team did a stellar job with our custom woodwork requests. We gave them a description of a built in bookcase that we wanted under the stairs and the completed bookcase couldn't have come closer to what we had in our mind's eye. They also worked with is to add a custom trapezoid shaped window in the bathroom, making the space even more unique. In addition to the kitchen/bathroom/living room changes, we also turned an mostly unfinished covered porch into a newly finished laundry room. After all was finalized, we couldn't be more happy with the final product. But honestly, the pictures will tell you more than words ever could, take a look! In the end, I wouldn't hesitate to hire

again, I just hope they have time to fit me in when the time comes!

I interviewed five flooring contractors and I selected
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
because, when I met him, I was convinced of his ability and desire to do a good job and because he offered me a top-of-the-line, nailed down hardwood floor for a cost competitive with what I was being offered by others for engineered, floating flooring. I also especially liked that he was an independent contractor and not a salesman from a big flooring company.
I was concerned how it was possible to install new flooring in a fully finished apartment with no garage or outside space to move furniture. This was not a problem for

. I packed up small items and they moved all the furniture, the

, the refrigerator, the washer and dryer--everything. And, when they were finished they affixed felt protectors on all my furniture and placed each piece back in its original place.
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
installed the flooring exactly as I wanted it: North and South in the hall, kitchen, and bedroom; and East and West in the living room. He made beautiful transitions into each change of direction and at the entry door.
In the past I have dealt with contractors who were argumentative or who found reasons to inflate their original estimates in ways that were not convincing. This did not happen with

Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was always in good humor, he charged me exactly what he quoted, and he offered to take care of any problem that comes to my attention.
My experience with
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was by far the most satisfactory I have had with any contractor.

We arrived at the
Seattle Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showroom fully prepared to 'sign up' to have our hardwood floors replaced. We were there early evening, with our 3 year old, and 3 month old. We were told that the salesman had to 'finish up some email' and that he'd be 15 or 20 minutes. It's important to mention that the showroom was EMPTY except for the 3 salesmen that were lingering around, apparently too busy doing email to actually help paying customers.
When we were told that we'd need to wait, we asked if anyone else was available. That didn't seem to go over very well, and we were grumpily pointed towards another salesman. We explained that our h/w floor had been damaged during a robbery, and needed to be replaced. We asked what our options were for removal (as it was glued) and for replacement, we got a long (very very long) song and dance about how awful removing glued floors were, that it was an awful job, very difficult, and that no-one would really do it. When asked what our options were, we were told removal was the only option. Confused? Yup, so were we. Because that was followed by another song and dance about how awful ripping up hardwood was when it had been glued to a slab. So we again asked what our options were, thinking we'd missed something. We were again told that our only option was removal. At this point, we'd been there for about 25 minutes (I'm not joking) and we still hadn't even seen any flooring samples!
We asked several times to see what kind of samples they had, and told them what kind of wood we were looking for. We had to force the issue, because the salesman was still only interested in talking about how difficult it was to remove glued flooring. After another 10 minutes, and still no flooring samples were shown, we were getting annoyed. We were finally rushed through a few samples, but not really told anything about them. They were just pointed out and we were moved on to the next one. At that point, with a now very hungry and bored 3 yr old and very tired 3 month old, we decided to cut our losses and leave.

The salesman at the store was very helpful and no pressure. He had a lot of experience in the flooring industry and gave me lots of helpful information. The installers arrived on time, worked quickly and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to use

Bill worked within the timeline set by my general contractor, and specified the protection he thought appropriate during the period between completing the refinishing and completing the remodel. He thought I should stain the floors, but accepted my choice. There were complaints from people in other units on my floor and from the person who lives above me. They had small dogs and birds that had the potential to be hurt by the fumes. I don't know that the problem was avoidable, but both parties would have appreciated advance notice that the fumes were coming. The lady upstairs appreciated the response she got from my general contractor. The building manager helped air out my floor and the floor above and he didn't think that the fumes were unusually bad.
