"Couldn't have gone better. Responsive to initial phone call and followup email. Accurate info provided. We (neighbor and I) need a half cord of firewood split into two quarter" cord deliveries. No problem. Showed up on time. Phoned as he was arriving as we requested. Stacked the wood neatly. Couldn't be happier. Wood appears to be well aged hardwood, approximately 90% apple. Well seasoned, split nicely. Will definitely order again. Price is higher than some competitors, but the absence of any hassle and the quality of the wood more than compensates for that. There's a reason this company has so many positive reviews. Heads and shoulders above the rest.

is great. Punctual, professional and quality product. This is our second year and we will keep buying from him.

was great. He responded quickly to the on-line form and scheduled delivery. Another job was cancelled so he called us and moved up the delivery date for our" convenience. The wood is mixed hard/soft, is very uniform in length, seasoned, and was delivered exactly where we wanted it. Stacking is an extra charge and they'll do a great job at stacking.

Although any wood can be burned, some are better than others for use in home fireplaces. Homeowners who purchase firewood should be sure it is hardwood and that it has been aging at least a year.

on a Saturday and asked for a quote on a cord of mixed firewood.
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
answered the phone, described the wood he had available. I asked when he could deliver, thinking it would be a week or two out. Instead, he said he could deliver it the next morning at 10 am. He showed up on time and placed the wood right where I wanted it so I could get it under cover.
The wood is as described, is split into easily handled pieces that fit my fireplace, and burn well.

is friendly and very professional. He had a prepared invoice and had no problem accepting a personal check. I will definitely call him again when I need more firewood.

We were gone when the cord of wood rounds arrived. My niece was at the house and paid the delivery man.
I had left instructions that the wood be placed in the driveway so I could split and stack it beside the driveway. We have a wide gate that opens up but from what my niece said, the delivery man's trailer wouldn't fit in the driveway so the wood was dumped on the grass in front of the gate.
Because I have a hydraulic wood splitter, a

and good splitting wedge called a, "wood grenade" a slide-hammer wood splitter, an

and a hatchet, I felt prepared to tackle the job of reducing a pile of wood rounds into a cord of stacked firewood for use this burning season. This supplier had a reasonable price and an ad that attracted me. Here is the content of that ad:

I wish I could demonstrate with a video the difficulty I've had with this "seasoned at least 4 - 7 months" wood. The wood is totally green and won't burn. I have been able to split a couple of pieces but it isn't worth the time or effort.
Seasoned wood will pop apart when it is split. But this wood must be torn apart, the fibers ripped from each side to separate them into pieces. Remember, I have a hydraulic splitter capable of exerting 4 tons of pressure. Works great on real firewood but not this stuff.
I drove a wood grenade splitting wedge into a couple of these rounds. Water juices out and runs off of the round as it is driven in, and it must be driven in until it cannot be struck anymore before the wood begins to split. Once it's driven in that far and the wood has not yet split, other tools must be used to try to get the round split. Using a slide-hammer wood splitter has helped, but on the 3 or 4 rounds I've tried to get apart I have had to use all of the tools I have to attempt retrieval of the wood grenade and to get the wood to split.
Yesterday, I worked for 50 minutes on one "round" and managed only to get a couple of small chunks to break off of the "round". I put round in italics because this impenetrable chunk of wood is really two trunks together with at least five branches radiating off the sides. It's still there in the driveway because I wore out attempting for close to an hour to get it split.
I emailed the company, leaving my email address and my phone number and saying that I'd like them to come back, give me back my money except whatever they felt was fair for gas to get here. I haven't heard back from them yet.
I feel that WWW.

has deceived me. The wood that they delivered was probably a cord as advertised, but is not seasoned. It is so difficult to split with the most common splitting tools that it cannot be broken down into firewood unless it is ripped along its lengths with a chainsaw. Something I am not prepared to do.

This is the second year that I've bought wood from
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
. Yes, it seems pricey, but this is a perfect example of "You get what you pay for." The wood is completely dry, burns hot and long, and never disappoints. Last year, I bought only a half-cord from
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
, and when it was gone, I relied on supermarket bundles and various purveyors of small quantities. That wood often would not light, or not give out heat, or burn up in just a few minutes. It just wasn't the same as

's. This year, I look forward to a complete winter of cozy fires.

I first found
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's List two years ago. After comparing prices, I decided to give
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
a call. He was very nice, gave me all the details and options and we struck a deal.
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
called ahead on the day of delivery, as he said he would, and arrived right on time. The wood was in great shape, very dry and just the right size for my fireplace. I've continued to use
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
every year (3 years total), and I'm completely pleased with my experience.

I called
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
to find out what kind of wood I should order for my fireplace if I'm looking for warmth and visual effect. He told me right away I should get some cherry for aroma and
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
for warmth. He gave me the pricing on email and set up a date for delivery. The delivery man,
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
, came right on time. Upon arrival, he drove around to my garage side of the house as I asked, he showed me the wood and once I approved he started stacking the wood next to my garage.
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
explained to me that stacking fee is $25 minimum. It took about an hour to stack 1/2 cord of wood and
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
stacked it in a very organized manner that the fee was well worth it. My husband and I tried the wood last night, and they're fantastic! Initially when I recieved the pricing, I thought it's a little more than what I would like to pay for firewood, but found out it's for a good reason. Last year we ordered wood from someone on Craigslist for less than
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
and it was just OK, but not fantastic.
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
's wood has wonderful aroma, burns very slow and produce good heat. I'm very happy with
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
's service and the products. I'll order from him again next year. Thank you!

Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
was excellent quality, cherry wood and fir/pine. Firstly, there is some incorrect information on the website, which explained why I didn't hear back from them for a few days. I called the next day and asked when my wood would be delivered, so they threw me on the next delivery date for my city, which was in only 3 days. Their website has a chart for what day you will be delivered according to what day you place your order, usually a 2-3 day window. This is incorrect, as I got a call a few days later for them to deliver my wood in about 2 weeks' time. I was due to receive my wood that day, so when she checked on it she saw that it was on the truck and on the way. Seems to be some administrative breakdown, but you can usually expect some of that with vendors.
They delivered them on pallets, and I got the quantity I paid for, although one
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
was a little light because the board they used to brace the side was leaning in a little, about 4-5 inches from halfway up. Not a significant amount, and it was the cheaper fir wood, but I can see it being a concern.
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
was wrapped in plastic, and tightly stacked. Refreshing change.
The fir is a little ragged, with things sticking out all over it, hard to stack, but is well-seasoned and burns well. The cherry is more even, and most are not split as these are smaller circumfrence trees and most are under 6 inches across. Both woods are seasoned, and the right size for burning, if a little short. Most wood should be cut 12-16 inches long by industry standards, so this would fall a little below that, but at least you are getting a full cord.
I will be buying my wood from them again next year, and would recommend using them.
- Felicia B.

If you are waiting for them to get back to you, its not worth the wait! The quality of
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
is terrible. More than half of
Seattle Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
was less than 2 inches in diameter, meaning lots of tending to the fire to keep it burning. The website promises that it will be between 3 and 7 inches, but it is definitely not! Also, much of it is wet and it's clearly not season18 months as promised. I would strongly recommend using a different provider for anyone who has not gotten their wood for the season yet.
