"Bill was our job site manager and he has his own crew, who did an excellent job. They were very professional and did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They also cleaned up very well afterwords. We were so pleased with the work that when we needed the interior of our house painted (April of 2011), I called Bill again. It turns out he and his crew moved to (yes, the names are similar, but it is a different company). So we simply hired Bill and the same crew, but via their new company, to paint the interior of our home. And we had the same great results. I think the crew and their supervisor are just as important as the company and would highly recommend Bill. We would certainly use them again if the need arose. "

" regrouted our large glass brick window (not done since original 1948 construction!) He was very neat and careful to not scratch our new bathtub (window is above the bathtub). The paint on our windows was coming off - he prepared it very well and corrected some construction problems along the way. In addition, he replace some siding because the Flickers were boring holes in it. Repainted siding. In the past we have hired for large jobs of painting the exterior of our home and deck. We can always count on to do an excellent job. He keeps his workplace clean and cleans up after himself. Much appreciated! Plus, he is very personable to work with."

"
He was detail-oriented about making sure that he will smooth everything out prior to painting. They will start the job in June.

"A bid was given; work was performed as agreed. It was a highly professional job and completed on schedule. Each time I have employed I have been extremely satisfied. Currently I have several smaller jobs pending and will be looking to for his assistance."

"Terrific. I took bids from 3 painters, and compared them on price, proposed activities and materials. The owner of came out to bid on painting the building, and an adjacent building that we later chose to delay painting until 2011. She thoroughly inspected the building exteriors, and provided a detailed estimate. She described the scraping process, how lead from the old building paint is contained, how the prep work would be done, etc, in great detail. After reviewing bids, hers was the most competitive given our criteria. We scheduled her to paint over the summer. Her crew started on time, and finished on time. The paint has only been on the house for 8 months, but so far it appears that they did an exceedingly good job. We look forward to working with her again for future house painting."

"Everything went well. They did a nice job of painting and fixed any problems I noticed after the work. My only problem was that they weren't very careful when around my herb garden."

"The whole process was incredibly easy and went as smoothly as I could have hoped. I called on Saturday, he came by on Sunday, and on Monday the pest was gone. He was extremely knowledgeable about pests and pest removal.
He was professional and also a nice guy. I hope I don't have any more pest problems, but I'll be calling if I do."

"What most impressed me about was his emphasis on the safety of his painters. Lots of painting companies can do a great job (which did) and keep the non-painted area clean (also key when there is brick siding involved, and well-done by ), but not everyone thinks about how to keep their employees safe. The work that was performed on our house was all above 3 stories high--a distance that could be fatal if someone were to fall. When I asked prospective painting companies how they would take care of their workers, almost everyone fed me the same patronizing line about how their painters were "very experienced professionals" and I "didn't need to worry my pretty little head" about them working high up on ladders. Meanwhile, my "pretty little head" was full of thoughts about how tragic it would be for the painter's family if they had a fall, how sad my husband and I would be to know someone had been badly injured working on our house, what our legal liability would be if someone were to get hurt... , on the other hand, talked about the harness systems his painters used. He asked--unsolicited--if we would mind if they anchored their ropes to a tree in our backyard. Clearly, he CARED not just about the quality of the paint job and offering a low price, but also being a good boss to his employees. Maybe that's why so many of his painters have worked for him for a very long time--something that also appeals to me because that means they're highly experienced.
During the project, I got a call from to tell us that his painters had discovered that the flashing around one of our windows was improperly installed. He was concerned that there was a of water getting through our siding and into the wall. Although he could continue with the painting of that area, he was happy to pause the work while we got a carpenter out to the house to remove the siding, repair the flashing, and reinstall the siding (which, of course, we did). We were so grateful for 's mindfulness of those details, and for the headaches they saved us by bringing that issue to our attention. This painting company definitely lives up to its name!"

" lives up to his name " ." He was always punctual and respectful. He kept the workplace clean. He gave us a good idea of the timeline for the project. The price was fair, and he did excellent work. We had used him on a bathroom installation a couple of years earlier, and were happy with that work too. We plan to use him again in our new house. For the actual work, first there was a day of demolition, ripping out the old cabinets, and lath and plaster walls and ceiling. Then set up a temporary kitchen in our dining room for us to use during the project. He had a small sink that he installed for our use until the new sink was installed. That was nice because between the grill outside, and the microwave we set up in the dining room, we could eat a few meals at home, thus saving us money. Once the demolition was complete, we were able to see up into the rafters of the ceiling to the pitch of the roof, and we wondered if we ought to vault the ceiling, even though it wasn't part of the original bid. When we approached about adding this to our bid, he was happy to accommodate this request, even though it was going to add an additional week to the project. had to do a lot of extra jiggering to make our cabinets fit into the space and also to make our floor level. It was an old house and everything was out of square. But you'd never be able to tell based on the finished product. From the exterior, the new cedar siding was painted, and you can't tell that the doors or windows were ever in different locations. He really did an excellent job making the new kitchen and doors/windows look like they were always part of the house (though much nicer than the rest, to be honest). The total time was about 5 weeks, start to finish. The transformation was incredible."

"We were very pleased with Kenji and his crew from start to finish. We had received estimates from four painting companies, one very high end, two in the mid-range, and one inexpensive. We decided to work with as we preferred to work with a local business, the price was affordable - in the middle of the range of estimates as the paint was to be applied largely via spray instead of by brush - and the business had been given a good report from a neighbor. We needed some minor carpentry prior to painting and were pleased with the person Kenji recommended for the work. The painting work began on time, with about a week of prep work and a week of painting. The crew was exceptionally pleasant and easy to work with, arriving promptly every day, putting things away at the end of the day, working around our dog, and helping advise us with some choices about color and what to highlight with the trim color. We were away at work during the project and did not have any concerns about the painters working while we were not at home. We were especially pleased that Kenji and the crew had the time built into the job to make some fairly major changes to areas that we had originally requested to be painted in the siding color, but then realized when we saw them that we preferred them to be in the trim color instead... so they ended up painting the chimney and the garage door twice when we realized our mistakes. They also did a very nice job applying the trim color to wooden windowsills against the background brick wall where there was not a particularly even line of separation between the two areas. The crew also noticed and suggested things that we had not thought of, such as painting our rain barrels to match the siding and helped us decide about where to apply the trim color on some areas that had been remodeled as the house didn't have a uniform trim pattern all the way around. did a great job with the painting and really worked with us to make sure that we would be happy with the results; they get high for both painting and customer service. We plan to use them again."
