"They did a fine job for a reasonable price. They were cheaper than other contractors. It was almost dark when they came, but they were able to get the job done. I was so happy that I recommended them to my neighbors. "

"Good experience.

provided options to lower price if desired(repair vs. replace). I chose to replace my asphalt in order to address drainage problems and assure a long term solution.

Seattle client upset with asphalt top of concrete drive

Homeowner says the asphalt paving contractors overlooked construction details, didn't properly slope the driveway and have ignored her complaints.

Cracks in a new driveway can be extremely frustrating, so it’s important for homeowners to understand just what causes those cracks in order to best avoid having the cracks mar their home’s appearance.

How to repair driveway cracks

As driveways age, some cracking is inevitable, no matter how well the driveway was built. Knowing the basics of repairing driveway cracks will help you keep your home looking good for as long as possible.

Should you expand your driveway?

Sometime your needs outgrow the space of an old driveway and expansion is necessary. (Photo courtesy of Angie’s List member Nyle K. of Indianapolis)

When you need a little more room to maneuver, expanding your driveway is a wonderful way to upgrade your property. However, this is not a project that you want to tackle without thinking about all the angles.

Seattle Asphalt Driveway Contractors Reviews

"They showed up on time & worked steadily, but they ignored important details. Instead of neatly raising the asphalt 2" where the drain & the oil tank valve are they left a deep valley for the drain(which is right at the beginning of the new tile sidewalk!)& stuck in a wooden patch over the oil tank valve. Fortunately, when the oil company came to refill, there was another contractor present who was able to cut it open with his diamond saw. There is also an area that wasn't sloped properly, so we always get a mud puddle when it rains. Despite promises, they never returned to take care of things that weren't done right. This was not the cheapest estimate. I had another for $1000 less! The company now seems to be run by

"I paid for services on Angie's List because of problems I have had with hiring companies to help me with a sewer/driveway problem. I just want to have someone help me that is reliable and honest. Is that too much to ask for?"

"The driveway is sloped so that water is pooling by our garage. There are weeds pushing up through the asphalt. We told them we only wanted them to do the work while we were at home. They came while we were on vacation and they actually pushed our car out of the way and did the work even though we were not there. We ended up having to take them to court over the matter."

"Cleaned up all areas before leaving. Entire project finished in 4 hours. No fault of paver's, work delayed twice by rain. Kept heir promised to be on job first clear day. Kept in touch by phone as to scheduling. Very cooperative. Layed the paving slightly thicker than proposal. Good crew. Good job."
