"The experience was excellent. They know exactly what needs to get done and how to schedule everything so there's no time waiting around.
It started by getting a bid, which was emailed to me promptly. Followed up with a phone call to review any questions. After taking some time to decide, I called them back and we scheduled a date to start. They were there on day 1 and DID NOT MISS A SINGLE DAY for the duration of the project. (this is incredible for anyone who has ever done remodeling before)
During the basement remodel, they made a recommendation to my plans to move the bedroom door. Doing this increased closet space and just made overall sense to the flow of the entire floorplan. I am definitely happy still about that!
They wrapped up the jobs, cleaned up and that was it - no hassles, no surprises. The bill was EXACTLY what they quoted. When my next project comes up, it is very comforting to know I have a company I can count on.

"We chose this contractor after receiving bids from 5 general contractors; ' bid was the second-lowest and was presented as a guaranteed not-to-exceed price. Definitely competitive. The employees on-site were great; very personable and communicative. When we wanted to make a change to the agreed upon plans, the change order process was straight forward and worked with us to quickly execute it. The project came in 4% under budget and only a week late -- both wonderful things in the construction business.
Unfortunately quality turned out to have been sacrificed. The newly poured concrete slab was not level by almost a full inch (over less than 4 feet); hired a subcontractor to pour a full on top at no charge to us -- not great but a suitable repair. The Tyvek home wrap was installed incorrectly per the siding subcontractor we hired independently to do the siding. We did not bother to bring up this issue with after our experiences dealing with the third issue: the water leak in the newly poured foundation. We had an existing basement which has no water leaks. The house was constructed in 1912 and does not leak water. The new addition, constructed in 2010, was shooting water out of the concrete wall after 3 days of November rain. In at least 3 other places water was seeping out of the wall.
The reason for the water leakage was that never installed the drainage pipes which were in the plans and actually ordered (and delivered) on-site. When I asked at the time, the lead carpenter informed me his boss said they wouldn't be necessary for such a small addition (wrong!). Now when I ask, I'm told that wasn't able to hook up the drainage pipes to the sewer without incurring further cost due to additional excavation so they decided not to install the pipes without discussing any options or alternatives with us. I have complained that the foundation should not leak, but they now want about $3,000 re-excavate and install drainage pipes. This is something that should have been done before framing even began and at the very least we should have been informed of our options and that would want more money to perform excavation to connect the drainage to the sewer system.
Modern construction should not leak. skimped on quality and did not communicate options when difficulties in the project arose, leading to a situation we do not want to be in. I would not hire this company again, despite their competitive pricing."

"It went fantastic! We bonded with immediately. He is such a great guy and genuinely cares about his work and his client's happiness. We have a 1945 cape cod style home that had a very outdated and oddly shaped kitchen, and a bathroom with rotting drywall and a full size window in the shower (God knows why). gave us the bid for labor only and gave us an estimate on material costs. We worked it out to be exactly to our budget. We liked paying for materials separately because it allowed us to control costs and not pay any -up a contractor may have added. Once we accepted bid he and his guys were able to start within 10 days or so. Project Start: Like most projects, the demo went quickly. His guys were extremely clean and took great care to make sure dust was contained within the confines of the kitchen and bathroom. They put up plastic sheets and had an industrial air purifier to help with the dust. They had a large trailer in the driveway to haul away all the debris (which there was plenty of). Middle of Project: During the project the work went smoothly and communicated well at each phase. As with all projects like this you find a few surprises. For us these were minimal and was always willing to ensure what needed to be done was taken care of the right way. As we were discussing ways to make the kitchen as efficient and spacious as possible, we decided to expand the entryway to be wider than it was originally. During this process found that the beam spanning the boundary between the kitchen and living room would need some additional support to ensure it was safe. Many contractors would have simply glossed over this and done what was cheap and easy. does it the right way, even if it slows down the project. End of Project: Wow! What an amazing new kitchen and bathroom we have. We are so thrilled with the space created for us. Almost 1 year after the job was completed we couldn't be happier with our kitchen. It is beautiful! And the scrap pile on the patio was cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell it was ever there. We LOVE the remodel! It's not often people hug their contractor, but both my wife and I gave a hearty hug at the end of this project. We will definitely call for our next project!"

"They did a great job for me. I have got a backstairs going downstairs to a basement door that had been on the outside, and the outer wall was poorly executed when it was put up. It was basically sucking in water and was slightly rotting. There were certainly some problems there, and I needed to have somebody who was definitely much more knowledgeable versus hiring a general that did not have any wood rot repair background. They sent over very knowledgeable personnel, and they were very thorough. They had a number of different options for approach; they could do a quick fix or a moderate fix with more fixes later. We had a number of different elements going on there. They were able to use some of my own drywall material that I have available here and some other material had to be purchased. Other than that, the work just went smoothly. They were very good, and they did a good job and a good cleanup. They were here on time and left on time. We had no issues or problems. They were a little pricey. I would use them again only for select repairs. It would depend on the repair itself and whether or not I would be able to handle something myself. If it is not highly critical, in an area where I simply have some minor fixes and stuff like that, they are a little bit more expensive than I can handle."

"This company did an outstanding job. provide me with an immediate written bid when he initially came to look at my project. This was in contrast to other contractors where I had to wait one-two weeks for a bid. The bid was very detailed and included everything that needed to be done. Again, this was in contrast to other bids that only provided general information about the work that needed to be performed leaving it open to misinterpretation at a later time. Once I accepted the bid, work began the following week. Work took a little longer than originally estimated because of the difficulty in removing my stairs. and 's professionalism and pride in their work was impressive. They protected the finished portion of my basement with plastic sheeting, kept the work area clean and removed the debris daily. They did a great job transitioning the new texture to the existing texture on the walls and ceiling. They did an outstanding job fixing my funky wall making a smooth transition to the plaster wall above. Their work ethic was excellent. I've worked with other contractors in the past, and this company put those other contractors to shame."

" lives up to his name " ." He was always punctual and respectful. He kept the workplace clean. He gave us a good idea of the timeline for the project. The price was fair, and he did excellent work. We had used him on a bathroom installation a couple of years earlier, and were happy with that work too. We plan to use him again in our new house. For the actual work, first there was a day of demolition, ripping out the old cabinets, and lath and plaster walls and ceiling. Then set up a temporary kitchen in our dining room for us to use during the project. He had a small sink that he installed for our use until the new sink was installed. That was nice because between the grill outside, and the microwave we set up in the dining room, we could eat a few meals at home, thus saving us money. Once the demolition was complete, we were able to see up into the rafters of the ceiling to the pitch of the roof, and we wondered if we ought to vault the ceiling, even though it wasn't part of the original bid. When we approached about adding this to our bid, he was happy to accommodate this request, even though it was going to add an additional week to the project. had to do a lot of extra jiggering to make our cabinets fit into the space and also to make our floor level. It was an old house and everything was out of square. But you'd never be able to tell based on the finished product. From the exterior, the new cedar siding was painted, and you can't tell that the doors or windows were ever in different locations. He really did an excellent job making the new kitchen and doors/windows look like they were always part of the house (though much nicer than the rest, to be honest). The total time was about 5 weeks, start to finish. The transformation was incredible."

"When I had to add a quick bedroom in my house was there in a timely manner and framed in the bedroom in a very tricky area in a day so that I could quickly get in the drywall contractor. I've also worked with on a patio replacement project where rain water was running into the house and damaged a basement bath. replaced the stone patio with a beautiful stamped concrete patio which stopped the water leak and we then worked together to repair the bathroom. I've also worked with on a couple kitchen remodels and was more than pleased with his professionalism with my clients. can do just about anything, and does it well and with a high degree of quality. I know he stays informed and educated, attending seminars to further his knowledge and follow the laws of Wa. State."

"Beginning with the estimate the entire process was clear, concise and very professional. Our estimator ( ) was very knowledgable about this type of home construction and went through each option in great detail with me (homeowner). The different crews we had on the job site were excellent craftsmen and experienced in their trade. Throughout the project we received multiple visits from the project manager and from our estimator. The experience was even fun for our family and we learned about the construction of our home from the men who were working on it. The crew is to be commended for the work they did and for the manner in which they treated our home and my family during the process. All good."

" completely remodeled our house. We purchased a 1960 mid-century modern house, and early in the morning on the day we were scheduled to move into the house we had an electrical fire. About 1/3 of our house was destroyed and the remainder was severely smoke damaged.
did a great job working with our insurance company to settle the claim. Then, after keeping the exterior walls and treating the house for smoke, they rebuilt every room in the house. This included moving many of the interior walls and redoing the floor and ceiling.
and his staff were great; responsive, helpful and thorough. Our project manager was particularly great in helping us think through the implications of our design and layout choices. We LOVE our master bathroom and it wouldn't be nearly as great without his help.
We also really appreciated the way handled the couple of inevitable issues that came up in a project this large. We had one difficulty when a piece of work wasn't done to our liking. But once we talked about it with it was taken care of at no cost to us. Really, it speaks to how strong their communication is. That was so important for us because we had no experience doing a remodel (and we hadn't planned to do it). Their communication really made the whole process easier and less stressful.
Ultimately, we love our home and really appreciate the work they did!"
