Seattle Driveway Contractors Reviews

"This is the second job that Rich and his crew have done for me. Two years ago in 2011 I selected him to replace my driveway based on other Angie's List reviews. They did an excellent job then, and again this time when they replaced my driveway approach.
I have to give extra kudos to Rich for this job because we ran into an uncooperative city inspector with a chip on his shoulder whose actions delayed the project several times. Since the driveway approach joins with the street, a street use permit and inspection was required. We eventually found out from the inspector's supervisor that the delays were unnecessary. Throughout the whole thing Rich was calm and professional and came up with several solutions to stay close to my budget despite the unwarranted demands of the inspector, which also affected Rich's schedule and his other jobs. There was never a time when I was wondering what was going on because Rich always kept me updated and did his best to move forward with the job.
If you're reading reviews and looking for a concrete contractor who has fair prices and impeccable work, you can stop reading. I know this sounds like an advertisement, but you can't go wrong with

. They replaced my ugly, broken driveway in 2011 then replaced my just as ugly driveway approach in 2013. Both jobs look fantastic. I couldn't be happier with the results.

and crew are seasoned pros and did a great job on our new driveway. Price was about $100 higher than I was quoted by someone else, but they weren't available when I needed them so I went for

"Because of this company's excellent reviews, I decided to call them. I talked to

and made an appointment. I had no idea how to solve my driveway problem. He came over and told me exactly what could be done and explained everything in great detail. I liked his suggestions very much and asked him for an estimate. He e-mailed me the total cost of the job. After I accepted, he sent me the date they would start working.

and his team were very polite and respectful and worked very hard. I am very glad I contacted this company and we all love our new driveway.
"They were kind enough to match another companies lower bid on the condition that they

our parking when in our neighborhood. This took awhile - mainly due to rain during the Spring. They came after calling the day before and quickly marked our lot. However, during the summer, several lines began to flake off, and we called them back. Again they needed to repair the problem when in our area and did so in

2013. Now - in August, 2013, we have one number that seems to have worn almost completely away - 5 months after it was applied and in the same area as the first problem. Since I knew it would take awhile to have them consider coming back yet again, I emailed a request for the name of the paint due to yet another problem with the painting they did. There was no offer to check out the problem, but they have given us the name of the paint needed. We'll be doing our own touch-up now! We know this was not a big job for them, but we won't feel comfortable using them again. I think they needed to make good on an area that didn't seem to take the paint - twice - but I didn't ask them the second time due to lack of confidence that it would fix the problem.
"In a word, GREAT.
Rich was one of the only contractors that actually came to my house, looked over the driveway and gave me a proper estimate. Others I contacted gave me an estimate over the phone or failed to show up when they stated they would. Call me old fashioned 'but I like it when someone eyeballs the project before they give me an estimate, I don't want any surprises sprung on me at the last minute with a corresponding increase in the bill.
The driveway turned out well and we also had drains run under the driveway which also turned out well. Rich was able to make recommendations and talk my husband out of a couple of things that would have cost us extra and were unnecessary.
-on time
-well priced
-good workmanship
-did not think my job was too small, and therefore unworthy of his time
-and BEST of all Rich is a GREAT communicator
You'll never be left wondering when you'll see him and what he'll be doing on any day of your particular job.

"The job was excellently done. Very detail oriented. They keep the work area clean. When Bill first came to bid on the work, he said that he does quality work, now that the job is done, I am very impressed with the result. I am recommending ANBConcrete to my friends and families. I have a project with my neighbor that ANBConcrete will do for us. Highly recommend them to anyone. Its hard to find honest contractors that are easy to work with. These guys are very friendly and trustworthy."
"Original installation 1999.

Very smooth initial installation. We chose to use our general contractor to compact the soil and that proved to be a mistake. When a section of the patio shifted and sank, Appian came through are did the job right.
Fast forward 10 years...a corner of the patio was cracking due to hillside soil. Appian came out and repaired everything once again!

These guys are the best.
"The owner, TV, submitted his bid promptly and with a good price. He came out immediately to loosen the soil, then covered it so it could dry. He worked us between other jobs and and bad weather. Forms were moved to meet my expections. All the guys were easy to get along with. The finished product looks great. They cleaned up well at the end."

was amazing. He called me back immediately after receiving my message, came out that same day to look at our project, and was able to quickly mobilize a crew to start the project immediately (within two days) as the weather forecast was sunny and dry (a rare thing in early February in Seattle!)

was professional, timely, cost effective (I had received two other comparable bids) and we are very happy with the result on the new driveway. We would highly recommend this company."

(I hope I'm remember his name correctly--this was over a yr ago), the owner, was prompt and very nice. The foundation work, which was correcting structural damage, seemed like it would be beyond his company's scope. His costs sounded reasonable for the patio, but we decided that we would DIY that project and leave the foundation repairs until we could afford an engineer.

While we didn't use

Concrete or any other contractor for this particular project, I would definitely call him again. He was responsive and took his time with us, that I would feel comfortable working with him on future projects. Nice to see a local business that treats their potential customers so well.
