"I did not hire this company. The lady came out. We have a clogged gutter and need gutter protection in one area due to birch trees. She had a sample of her brand of gutter guard. We had 2 gutters that needed replacement and a portion of the gutter protected from the birch leaves and seeds. She was determined to replace all the gutters on the house which we did not want to do and when my husband squeezed the seed packet , all the seeds went through the holes and he commented that maybe it should be installed upside down, she got all in a

"We hired (THD At-Home Services, Inc.) to redo our roof. The company subcontracted out the work, and while they were installing the materials for the new roof, the structure of our attic was damaged to such a degree that the front wall of the house was separated three quarters of an inch from the ceiling. Also, a crack formed along the front wall. The project was stopped and the roof covered, but we had water damage after a rainstorm. The water damage was in the living room, ruining carpet and padding and water also leaked into the basement through the sub-floor. The roof is still not completed and we have been having close to freezing temperatures at night. We have been in constant contact with multiple people at THD At-Home Services, Inc. and a general liability claim has been opened, but they have not claimed responsibility. To date THD At-Home Services, Inc. has done nothing to fix the damage. We have consulted with building experts, hired a contractor, hired a structural engineer, and began a permit process through the city of San (CA) to fix the damage. We should not be spending our time and money to fix a problem we did not create. Monday, December 6, 2010 will be five weeks since our house was damaged, and so far nothing has happened. According to our contractor, the damage will be at least $13,000, not including repairs and replacement of carpet from water damage and other accrued expenses. The only news we have had from the subcontractor?s insurance is that we will have to pay to fix the damage and that we might be reimbursed. A manager from THD At-Home Services, Inc., contacted us for the first time three weeks after the event and has not been out to see the property, in fact, no one from THD At-Home Services, Inc. has been out to our house since November 2, 2010."

"The estimate was to be complete in 3-5 days, they where done in two. They did some extra demolition work and hauled the waste as a kicker in the deal. The owner came to our house twice prior to signing and was very informative about roofs and the roofing business in general. Honored his initial estimate even though it was 3 months old.

"We have a flat roof and holes were provided in the roof that allowed the water to exit. The downspouts were missing in some areas and it created puddles on the ground. We decided to plug them and did not realize at the time that we were preventing the water from leaving the roof. The person that came out was intoxicated and did a really bad job. He added 2 down spouts and plugged about 3 holes. A good contractor would have pointed out the reason for the holes in the roof and suggested we have it. He was not punctual and the professional advice he gave us was very bad. He also left the tools lying around and the soft hose in our driveway for 2 days, so we put away the soft hose. We thought he went out to get a drink or a snack, but he did not show up for some days. He called and said he was busy doing another job and would be back. We made the mistake of paying him upfront, so he quickly finished everything and took his tools."

"I got two estimates for the replacement of my roof and gutters. was much cheaper than the other quote. And, , the owner had worked for another company who had replaced the roof on another of my homes in 1991. I contacted from a review on Angie's List. returned my call about his quote and talked to me for a long time about his company and his crew and the kind of work he does. He suggested I put the new roof over the existing roof since it was still in OK condition and this would save me $850 in removal costs. owns the company, his wife does the bookwork and he has one secretary in his small office. I liked that he is a small businessman who is proud of his company, his crew and the work they do. They arrived a day before to do some of the work and finished up and had the gutter company come the next day, the day they were supposed to come. This made me happy for they finished early on the scheduled day. I also like that buys his materials from a building supplier close to my home here in San so I was able to go there to pick out the color of the shingles. The shingles and gutters look so nice on my home. My husband used his binoculars to look at the work, saw some things he had questions about and the foreman went up on the roof and fixed what it was he saw or removed something there. The work was good, clean up was good, price was good, They did the job in the time frame stated, even before and finished earlier than I had expected. I would recommend in for roofs done in the Valley. This home of mine is in Prunedale CA. outside of Watsonville, CA. in Monterey County, CA ."

He coordinated with the contractor installing a Solatube. He responded to my questions. He followed up up after the crew was done. The job went as described. I am please with the results. The crew did a fantastic job in cleaning up when the job was done."
