San Jose Glass Repair Companies Reviews

B
"The work was good. They told us lead time will be 7-10 'business' days when we signed. After the glass arrived their warehouse in 9 business days, they gave us an appointment 1 week later. They came home and found one of the pieces was wrong measurement and didn't install. We again waited for the correct glass and that came in 3 business days and they came home in 3 business days. Then they told us to wait for 4 days for all of it to dry. After that we found a small leak - again took us another 3 business days to get appointment and 3 days to dry. The lead time was way way way off 7-10 business days. If time doesn't matter, their work is good.

"I had a telephone conversation with

from
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
and Shower as part of my

for an installer. I decided that Classic was not near enough for me to consider the company local. That has become important to me, because I want to be able to find the contractor in case I need adjustments to the job, etc. I was also not convinced by his description of how a new door would have to be hung, and his approach was contradicted by other providers. I did choose a closer company (Super Glass in San

) to do the job, and am quite happy with their work.
I don't want to penalize Classic's score just because I chose not to hire them for this job, thus my "A" rating overall.

"Very disappointed with
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
service. I dropped off a window pane that needed the glass replaced on 9/3/13 and was told the service would take 3-5 days. On 9/13/13 I called
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
, after having heard nothing from them for 10 days. The woman who answered the phone initially could not find my order and put me on hold. When she returned, she told me the window should be in on Monday, 9/16/13. I asked her what happened and that I had been quoted a 3-5 day turnaround. She was very

with me and kept repeating that when the window was ready I would be called. When I called on 9/16 (after not hearing from them) , I was again told they expected the glass that day or the next. I explained that I was leaving town on the 17th, and could they at least deliver the window to my home. I was told that would depend on whether or not they had somebody working in the area.

called on the 17th to say my window was ready for pick up. I again explained I was leaving town, and asked for them to deliver the window, the woman said she would see what she could do. She later called me and said they would drop the window off on the 18th.

never called me to tell me the window would be delayed, took 15 days for a 3-5 day job and grudging offered to deliver the much-delayed window. Very poor customer service, and I would not use them again.

"A tenant called to say the tempered glass in the sliding glass door had cracked and crumbled. It was winter and cold so I wanted to get it replaced ASAP. Being the Christmas Holiday...everyone else I called was closed and messages said they would not be in until the following Tuesday. It was wonderful to finally hear a real person answer the phone! I hated to interrupt family time (you could hear kids playing in the background) but am very grateful they could replace the glass. They gave me a quote over the phone (it was $40 more than normal to come out on a Holiday...but it was well worth it!), showed up when they said and replaced the window quickly then cleaned up. Really lived up to his name and I am soooo glad he was open over the Holiday weekend."

"It only took one week from my initial request for an estimate to the glass actually being replaced. They also were willing to look for (and found) replacement trim for one of the windows, which a couple of other companies were not willing to do. Other companies said that they would need to replace the entire window. The installer was friendly and very efficient."

the installer came out in the morning instead of the afternoon , which was better for us. He had GPS so he easily found the place. He first looked at the job and the old mirror and did not see any difficulties. He took down the old mirror, and a towel rack, and a window curtain rail, as i watched. His phone never stopped ringing,,,which is always a little bothersome when you hire a tradesman, but a minor inconvenience since the job was not by the hour but a flat $169. In putting up the new mirror ,

hit a nail or something--i suggested a studfinder or metal detector--but he had to drill another attachment hole, and hit another obstacle. Bad luck, but minor. He was done in about 30 minutes and the new mirror is much sharper, like analog vs hdtv !! Overall we were very please with the price and the work by

"We had planned our bathroom remodel for about 3 years. We had our materials picked out and just needed to find a contractor. We had interviewed 3 contractors but didn't feel that any of them were a great fit for us. We found
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
on Angie's list and gave them a call. We reached
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
, who was really friendly and helpful. She said that
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
Wood (owner) would call us back. Sure enough, he called me within hours. We set up a time to meet at our house, and
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived right on the dot (most unusual for a contractor!).
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
was very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable with him. We talked about the project and agreed to meet at his shop a few days later to go over his bid. At his shop, we saw photos of other remodeling jobs
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
had done, and I began to worry that they would be too expensive for us because the work was amazing. But when we went over the bid, I was pleased to see that it was right in line with the other bids we had gotten, so I knew the pricing was fair.
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
prepared a very professional bid, including a detailed listing of all the fixtures and materials we planned to use so that there would be no miscommunication.

got the permit, started work right on schedule and moved quickly. Every person who came to our house was highly skilled and did beautiful work. The job was completed in a timely manner, and we now have a gorgeous new bathroom. Remodeling can be really difficult if you don't have the right contractor but
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
provided the easiest remodeling experience I've ever had. Not only do they do great work, but they are genuinely nice people who know how to communicate. If you want high quality work at a fair price, and a remodeling experience that is actually pleasant, call

"The installation went very well with a minor exception having to do with an expected towel bar on the door which could not be accommodated. We were never informed about the towel rack problem and thus were unprepared for planning a solution ahead of time. This was a minor issue but the owner insists that we MUST of been told about it because he does not make those type of errors. This issue is not why I am making this report. This report is being made because of another minor problem that the company insists is a non-problem that is caused by our misuse of the "properly installed" glass panel. The glass panel well "click" when a minimum amount of pressure is applied to the lower corner of the panel nearest to the glass door. Once it "clicks" then it will not "click again until it rests for some time. I'm assuming that this is probably caused by some minor movement caused by time and temperature. The company came out and spent 5 minutes correcting the problem but it was still happening some two days after they had corrected it. I called again about it and waited a week before having to call again (meaning I was basically ignored). On my second call, I was informed that we were misusing the panel by applying needless and forceful pressure on the glass panel. After insisting that this was not the case, the owner agreed to have the installer return to my home and check the panel again. Of course, when they arrived, the "clicking" did not occur. I allowed them to go away without doing any kind of adjustment because of the "attitude" that this is a non-problem being caused by owner misuse. The "clicking" is still there and it looks like I will have to find another solution. I do not plan on ignoring the issue because I see it as a problem related to how the panel is mounted."

"I thought they did a good job. They had a technician come in who knew what he was doing. They were prompt and they did a good job and the price was good as well."

"I was extremely pleased with my dealings with this company from start to finish. The window was broken the day before leaving for vacation. They were available to come out on an emergency basis to repair it that day, but I was unwilling to pay the emergency service fee. However, I liked that it was offered. When the other contractor I scheduled flaked on me, I again contacted
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
. At this point, I was on vacation, and in an area where cell service was spotty at best. Danylle was accommodating and able to do the scheduling via email. She was professional and efficient in her emails. She gave me 3 times to choose from and promised a 2 hour window, with a 1/2 hour courtesy call from the tech. When I returned from vacation, I had the appointment scheduled and they called the night before to confirm the 2 hour window. The service tech,
San Jose Glass Repair Companies Provider Name Locked
, called 1/2 hour before coming, and he arrived right on time. He measured the window and wrote the estimate down on his business card before proceeding. I OKed it and he began to work. We had new landscaping I asked him to be careful around, and he was. He placed heavy blankets both inside the window and outside the window as he worked. He worked efficiently and was careful to clean up the glass he removed. He also vacuumed the window sill area and anywhere inside on the carpet that had any debris, though I think it was mostly contained in the heavy blanket. I also had another window that was missing about 6" of glazing. When I asked if he could fix that, he offered to do it at no cost to me. Overall, I was very happy with the service this company provided, and the professionalism they displayed. They would be my first call in the future for any glass replacement needs.
