and his crew tore up and replaced our cracking driveway with stamped concrete and put down walkways on both side of it, one leading up tot front door and other to the backyard gate. The front door walkway design was mine and probably ended up being more complicated in terms of its execution. I was going for the modern look. I don't think I got 100% what I wanted for that, but those kind of steps and walkways probably need to be built differently than pouring concrete - may be with prefab concrete slabs. Anyway I am reasonably happy with it and once the landscaping around them mature in a couple of years it would be fine. We also chose two different colors for the driveway and walkways which adds to the cost and I am not sure it was worth it.

is a very professional and particular individual and for every change order he documents the changes, reprices things and makes sure everything is signed and agreed. Even though I like a more informal style of working which I have experienced with my other contractors, but I totally understand his point. I am sure he wants to make sure he does not get burnt in the end. He and his crew were very punctual. He was there most days to supervise the work personally. His prices are somewhat on the high side. But if the quality of the work holds it is worth it. It has been over 6 months now since they finished the work. There is one hairline crack on the main steps of the front walkway. But that is unavoidable based on what others have told me. In general the quality of the work has held up well so far.
My only advise would be plan your design well and think through all the options you want before you price it and /sign the contract and it would go just fine.

The bamboo roots in our San

soil were a combination of cement-like clay soil and natural rebar. The roots are nearly as strong as rebar, so

had to dig a good 8 hours to get it all out. The smaller machine took a bit longer and required more trips over the lawn to dump buckets of debris, but all of the terrible soil, rhizomes, and 30 year old buried construction debris is gone, gone, gone.
He listened to what we needed, and was the only one of 5 landscape-type contractors that understood the nature of bamboo rhizomes. He had dug them out before, too. If you leave any part of the thumb-thick roots in the ground, they can regrow a whole new bamboo plant and the invasive nature begins again. Every other contractor offered to stump grind the top 12 inches of roots, showing that they truly did not understand the nature of the plant, despite having it explained to them.

's got a handful of jobs lined up, but he doesn't begin one until the previous one is finished. That means he's not running off to do something else in the middle of your project, which is also nice. He does his own work, owns his own equipment, and knows which to use when. He's got a great personality, too. Very sweet and easy to talk to, smart and knowledgable of his business.
The pricing is based on how many 10 yard dump truck loads you fill. The cost for using the tiny machine was a little more per truck (750 vs 650 for the bigger one which moves twice as much junk per scooper bucket). This makes for a very up-front and predictable cost. But honestly, the job was such a nightmare, he could have charged a lot more. He spent a solid 8 hours digging, then came back the next day and filled the hole back in at no additional cost. He arranged for someone he knew to deliver 38 yards of high quality loamy soil at a discount (about 30% less than most places sell it). Plus, he helped protect the path from the bamboo to the street (had to cross the lawn and some landscaping path) to do as little damage as possible.
I would trust

to dig up anything we needed dug. He also does dry well digging, post holes, pool removal, tractor-based demolition, etc.

's communication and scheduling of this job was professional and well communicated. He showed up on time, fully prepared to complete the job at hand.
He widened our existing cook-top hole in our counter-top to accept a new
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
induction cook-top. This wasn't as easy as it sounds, as the whole counter-top is covered with 4"x4" white tile. He was able to use his tools and skills to make nice clean through the existing tile to widen the hole.
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
completely covered the work area with clear plastic to minimize the super-fine tile and concrete board dust from getting all over out home, this was totally appreciated.
Even though it was more work for him,
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
even went above an beyond to make certain the new induction cook-top would be exactly centered in the counter-top, and exactly centered under the exhaust range hood.
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
would have hooked up the cook-top to the electricity, but my electrician wasn't done running the new 220V electrical line to the kitchen.
After the work was complete,
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a good job to clean up after himself.
All in all,
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
is very professional, on time, minimized the dust in our home, and went above and beyond. I recommend

The final product was well done and no complaints. Hauled away all old concrete, pulled up deep roots that cracked the original sidewalk. However, the time between when we okayed the project to project completion was long. They like to group their jobs in one neighborhood to keep costs down, which is totally understandable, but we needed the work done asap. They continually assured us that the project would start in two weeks and then it got pushed back another two weeks. Repeat that scenario three or four times. Again, the work was well done, price was right, but they should provide a project start date and stick to it.

It went pretty well. Work took about two weeks and quality of the work was excellent. Very happy with the finished product He did more than I asked, i.e., added mulch to several areas that he felt needed it, and installed drip systems in the vegetable beds. Price was exceptionally good based on my bottoms-up estimate..

Sidewalk was raised by tree roots 2 inches and had I one broken section. In steps, they removed the old concrete, removed tree roots that raised the sidewalk, placed the concrete forms, poured+ finished the concrete and lastly, moved the forms. The steps were based on other work

was doing. The workers were knowledgeable and did the work in a profession manner.

Extremely poor communication, many finance mistakes, very poor project management and unreliable promises upon project follow-ups by home owners; quality of the final work is good; not the least expensive contractors out there, which is ok. The job was scoped to take 3-5 weeks & took 4.5 months. Multiple requests for a timeline were ignored until month 3 & were still materially off from the final completion date. Promises to put more people on the project were plentiful but never materialized throughout the project. Phone/email communication with project manager is absolutely useless - go to owner directly. We were asked to pay thousands of dollars for unauthorized work although contract clearly stated new items had to be discussed & authorized by home owners. Initial contract with multiple pages of itemized costs did not add up to the total charges line & after a heated discussion we were forced to pay the "true" total although we evaluated vendors based on itemized costs to compare & understand the scope - this was a $10K surprise & handled very unprofessionally by owner & project manager. Multiple invoices had math issues, even after pointing it out several times, the math was off. Trying to get any clarify on a project & dealing with the company was the most stress we've had in 20 years & the company is absolutely ignorant of homeowner's concerns - if you reach the owner, empty promises are made all the time, but, in reality, every point, made nicely & professionally, is completely ignored. Stay away.

We hired A&M Concrete to remove and replace our patio concrete and fence on side of our house. They were the only company that could do both jobs which also provided best competitive bid. It very was convenient since we were changing our fence/gate configuration, there was dependency on the concrete job so it was nice to have both done by same company.

’s crew always showed up on time and did good job cleaning up afterwards. The whole job took 2.5 days, day 1 was all demolition and prepping. Day 2 was concrete pour and drying. Day 3 was install new fence after concrete dried. They were super nice and always willing to answer any questions. Our neighbor's tree

had grown over our fence property line so they had to chainsaw it to remove huge tree roots and part of tree stump before putting in new fencing. Hence, I was pleased that all the prep work was very thoroughly done. Our concrete is so much better than before (it previously it did not have rebar installed). We also replaced two badly deteriorated gates which we didn’t realize were built wrong. The new ones are much lighter and more durable.
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
recommended changing our gate configuration and put in wider gate which gives us more room in our side yard. We were also able to utilize changing our existing patio to remove a step and build a slope away from the house so it's no longer a pain in the a$$ to roll our trash/recycle bins. Scheduling was a little difficult since they were pretty booked up. We're really pleased with the results. It almost seems that the tree damage was a blessing in disguise because we now have a much better patio, fence and new working gates!

Overall, we had a terrible experience. To start with, they were very unpredictable and we didn't know when they would show up to actually do the job. When they finally did, it seemed very rushed... similar to other reviewers.
Once the dust settled and they finally came back to power-wash and seal the concrete (weeks later than promised), we figured out what a terrible job they had done. I don't even know how to describe the different problems, but I will try. For one, there were large cracks showing up within a few weeks. Secondly, along almost all the joints there was cracking. In other parts, it was clear they had not correctly applied the stamps and color because it looked awful and even had small holes in it. Lastly, some of the lines and edges were not straight.
After months of calls and threats, I finally got
San Jose Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
the owner to take a look. He agreed to make some repairs, including completely replacing a section. Thankfully that worked out and the color matched, but it was a risk. However, many things simply were not fixable.
Overall, while we got a good price on the job, we definitely regret using
