Medical Alert System reviews in San Francisco
The system seemed convenient at first, but now they are refusing to honor $1,818.06 of a purchase of FSA-eligible items that was made online (using one of their partner paperless pharmacies within the designated time frame) from the correct plan year. All items in the order were listed as "FSA eligible" by the partner paperless pharmacy. The purchase was made using the Benecard in a time frame that is covered by both the 2009-2010 plan year and the 2010-2011 plan year. They are supposed to exhaust the 2009-2010 plan year funds before dipping into the 2010-2011 plan year funds. Instead, they show $1,818.06 of unclaimed funds in the 2009-2010 plan year, are using the 2010-2011 plan year funds to cover the 2009-2010 purchase, and have exhausted the 2010-2011 plan year funds by doing so. In other words, they are trying to keep the $1,818.06 that was withheld from my paycheck. Yes, steal it! And they have taken away my ability to use my 2010-2011 plan year funds in the meantime. It has been almost four months since the 2009-2010 plan year purchase and they still have not corrected the problem. It is an ongoing nightmare trying to get it resolved. $1,818.06 is a lot of money for them to try to "keep" when the purchase was made within the guidelines. I doubt that I will ever use this company again. The only reason that I might is if it is my only option to use pre-tax dollars to pay for medical expenses or dependent care expenses. But I would minimize the coverage and look for other options first. They also seem to delay dependent care expense reimbursements, requiring resubmission of the same claim forms (after an initial denial) before they will approve them. If you use ANY of their FSA services, hold onto your receipts and track the processing of your claims!”
My friend recommended this company because of the technology they use. If my mother falls and is not conscious, the medical alert system goes into effect and contacts the emergency people. I thought this was better because one of my mother's friend fell and was unconscious and could not push a button....so she laid on the floor for hours I met with Avrum ”
