was great. He took the time to thoroughly test the system and identify the problem and repaired it on the spot, including installing a defective part and reprogramming a new thermostat. He is extremely professional, knowledgable, and friendly. I highly recommend
for any heating and air conditioning needs.

They have a very special employee in
I made an appointment to have a Furnace inspected before I sign a lease because the Property Manager insisted that it was brand new in perfect condition.
However, when
came to inspect the Furnace we found out that it kept shutting down repeatedly because of the limited number of air ducts the contractor built.
He was very knowledgeable with the entire system and easily shut down the arguments by the shady Property manager.
Basically, the original contractor installed a 66k BTU furnace with just 4 air ducts, so it kept over-heating and would shut down automatically after 5 mins.
He demonstrated multiple times to the Property Manager that there is a problem with the furnace and she said she would follow up with the original contractor.
A few days later, the Property Manager calls me to complain about how terrible
is because the furnace actually works when you replace the filter?
So I call back
to see if the excuses by the Property Mgr could be true and
was SUPER HONEST about his work and apologized for not checking to see if that "might" be a possibility? Even as rare as that could've been, he volunteered to come back again "FREE OF CHARGE" to check and make sure.
I NEVER doubted
and was skeptical with the Property Mgr's excuse but nevertheless
came to inspect the Furnace again, with/without the filter but it made absolutely no difference!
Wow, in a day where many people lie about their work,
had no problem coming in to re-check the inspection he already did to make sure his clients were completely satisfied.
I will no doubt hire these guys again and recommend them to everyone I know.
They saved me a lot of money because had I just accepted the
by the Property Manager, I would've signed a lease and found out that I have to replace the furnace for $2.5k+!
Thank you to
and specifically
who was absolutely a 1st class technician! Amazing service.

Hvac reviews in San Francisco

Our experience with Atlas was excellent -- after reviewing 3 other options from other contractors, Altas was far and away the best option for us. In the initial estimate meeting,
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to look at our house and meticulously measured upstairs and downstairs for all the duct work and vents that we would need, highlighting numerous things that other potential contractors missed or neglected to include. And as we finalized our scope of work with Atlas,
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very honest and upfront with an 80% v. 95% AFUE furnace -- recommending the more affordable 80% option because we use the heat only 20-30 days a year.
During the installation, we worked with
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
who was exceptionally patient, knowledgeable, and thorough to ensure the installation was completed efficiently. I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions, and understand everything that contractors are doing, in case there are follow-up issues / maintenance that needs to occur, and
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was incredibly helpful, patient, and mindful of how important this investment in upgrading our house was to us. Everything was permitted for San

codes, and the inspector commented that the installation work was very high quality and should last for years.
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great -- you'll be very lucky to have him as your installer.
And to wrap,
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was exceptionally professional to check in on a following Saturday to ensure everything met our satisfaction and that we understood everything we needed in terms of ongoing maintenance and adjustments. If we ever have to do similar heating / air conditioning work in the future, or to recommend a solution to friends, we wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend Atlas. Great work -- we really appreciate it.

provided a one hour window for his arrival and arrived in the first 10 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty part. He was extremely knowledgeable of our furnace and checked out a couple of items to make sure it was still performing efficiently.

We had a situation, where one of our tenants had an issue with their heater going into the holidays. I called a couple of other heating companies first, all well rated on Angieslist.list, but they were busy, and also when I explained the situation, they were preparing more for replacing the heater, which was only a couple of years old and that was still days out. Thanks to Angieslist, found
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and what I liked first off with them, when I called and explained the situation, they too were ready to replace the heater, if need be, but believed the issue would be more related to the venting and/or needing to clean it. They had a plan, explained it to me and it was clear.
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out, even earlier than the window given, and was very detailed on the efforts. He was neat, and clean, especially given that one is taking things apart in the apartment and cleaned out everything outside. Went to the roof top to confirm the flue/ventilation was working as expected. Very impressed, and they have moved up to our first company to call in the future for our heating needs.

The initial meeting with their representative [
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
] went smoothly. It was not a huge job: running two ducts in a garage and linking up a cold-air return to an existing furnace. Within 48 hours I was sent a proposal [the price was below the other quotes I had attained from other companies so we went with
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's proposal] and promptly signed and returned hoping to get on their schedule before the holidays [I started this process at the end of October, it is now December]. After several days, not hearing back from Scmitt representatives, I began calling to see about getting job scheduled. After playing phone-tag and leaving multiple messages over the course of several weeks for
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
/their field-rep, I finally heard back from the person I had been leaving messages for
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
with [a person named
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
]. We finally got on the schedule [BTW, I've still had not heard back from
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
The job was scheduled to start this morning at 8A, at about 8:20A I got a call from
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
telling me that their tech would not be on-site until about 1P. Given the fact they essentially blew me off for a few weeks, and did not call me to tell me their tech was going to be late [by several hours] until well after the designated start-time, we decoded to cancel the job with them.
It's a shame, the first meeting with their rep
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great, but the wheels came off after that. I can't speak to the quality of their work as we shut the project down with them. Since I was not able to speak with
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
after the first meeting, I have no idea what the issue was [or issues]. This was not a complex job by any scale. The projected savings over the other companies that bid the project have been cancelled out by the loss of time to getting on their schedule and the overall headaches this interaction has created.

They were punctual for the appointment to give me an estimate giving and were punctual for the installation as well. Because I was having two furnaces installed, I had been concerned about how long the installation would take and was pleasantly surprised when a three man crew showed up and completed most of the installation in one day. The second day only involved a little follow up insulation work finished up by one workman in less than two hours. The crew cleaned up after the installation and hauled away all debris and the old furnaces. I would not hesitate to recommend
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to any of my friends.

They were easy to get ahold of and answered all our questions when they came out to do an estimate. Price was better than the competition, and we have been very happy with the new heater. We called once with a follow-up question, and they sent a guy out to take a look at no charge (no work was needed). Would definitely recommend.

Another vendor (listed here on Angie's list)
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
me that my furnace was cracked and needed to be replaced. That vendor turned off the furnace for safety and followed up with a written estimate for a new furnace (approx 2,500). I called
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I explained to the woman who answered that I wanted a second opinion. She suggested I call PGE to have them evaluate the situation. PGE came out and said my furnace was fine but my fan wasn't working.
I called out
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
they confirmed the fan wasn't working and took it back to their shop for repair. They reinstalled and all is good.
This all started because I had called out the first vendor to "service" my working furnace. Apparently that is not necessary in this climate (San
San Francisco HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
). That was my lesson - "servicing" a working furnace is bogus.
