It did not go well. This provider is a subcontractor whose name and phone number were given to me by Lowe's. Our initial conversation went okay, though I thought his answers to some of my questions and concerns were a little too quick. Things really went south after he provided Lowe's with a bid on installing my hardwood floors. He lied to Lowe's about the condition of my existing hardwood floors beneath my existing carpet. He told Lowe's that my existing hardwood floors were damaged in several places, despite the fact that he did not pull up the carpet and had no way of knowing that. He also did not know that I was present in my home when the carpets were installed, and I know exactly the condition of the existing hardwood--it is not damaged at all. I think he was attempting to get more money from me on the job. Then, when I came back with lots of detailed questions about the bid I was given, I did not receive satisfactory answers. I quickly decided to run the other direction and not go with this company. I highly recommend that others do the same.

It was good. Everyone was friendly, professional and punctual. The only gripe I have is that the Angie's list special was $300 for $500 worth of carpet - I had the impression that would cover one room. It wasn't even a large room but they told me the special wouldn't cover the entire room. I spoke to the manager, telling them I didn't think it was fair and he said they would do the room for the agreed upon price.

This provider never even bothered to respond to my request through Angie's List for them to contact me about installing hardwood floors throughout my whole house. Very disappointing.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. I told them my timeline (one week before a move!) and they accommodated and sent a crew 2 days after our consultation. The existing floor had scratches everywhere and several divets. After the work, it was flawless, as if it were a new floor. I was really amazed at the results. There was one area that I wasn't completely satisfied with after the initial work and

came out immediately and fixed the problem. I have never had such great service from a company. These guys know what they're doing and they provide great service. What a concept!

did a quality job installing hard wood flooring on the upper landing of stairs leading down to a second level. They expertly matched the 1929 original flooring of the house. There was a little confusion on the quote, but everything was worked out to the agreement of both parties.

is absolutely fantastic. He came and measured and provided excellent tips. Then I met him in his office/retail to select samples because i wanted to see where the office is located, etc. He helped me to find great quality laminated wood and underlayment that meet both my

requirement and within budget.
The demolition crew is very good. the marble floor turned out to be a difficult tasks because tiles were glued down to cement. the crew was thorough and worked hard. the only suggestion i would give is prep work (cover kitchen cabinet and appliances) of using plastic covering should be done first and thorough once they determined that jackhammering would be required to remove those tiles. the removal turned out to be a bigger job and dust went everywhere, into cabinets and all the hard to clean areas of appliances and those appliances were brand new.
The installation crew is equally good. excellent finishing. I am a very tough client, hold a very high standard.

the project supervisor was quick to address my issues.
In sum, all of them truly met all my expectation and quickly. I will definitely use them again!

Hardwood did an excellent job of preparing the space for the work, including moving furniture (I moved all of the small items), and masking off areas to protect from dust. They came back afterwards and dusted the house and put felt protectors on the bottom of most of the furniture to protect from scratches.
The work was done efficiently and with a lot of care and was completed a little earlier than planned. We were very pleased with the results.

I was in the process of closing on my first home when I first contacted
San Francisco Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
about fixing up the floor. I didn't know whether I needed refinishing or a

and coat. From my description of the floor
San Francisco Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
said I might be able to do a

and coat (estimate $600) but after looking at it he said the deeper scratches would not come out and that I would need to refinish ($1250) to get those out. He didn't pressure me either way.
I was trying to get the floors done before I moved in so I wouldn't have to deal with moving furniture out of the way, but my closing was delayed. I ended up having to push my move date back a week, in part so I could have time to get a second estimate. The property manager of the building said she had "a guy," so I got an estimate from him too. He also said $600 for a

and coat, but he is not a floor specialist; he would just rent a machine to do it, and refinishing would be beyond his ability. Since
San Francisco Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
gave me the same estimate for a
San Francisco Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
and coat as the "guy" did, I figured it was probably a good price, and I chose to go with the actual professionals.
I also chose to go with refinishing, after waffling a bit, because if I was going to go through the trouble I figured I may as well do it right. (Normally I would do my waffling before even contacting a provider, but I found it impossible to get any kind of ballpark idea of how much it might cost without actually having someone come look at it. I have a feeling I will encounter this a lot as a home owner...)
In summary, I was under a lot of stress and time pressure and had a hard time being a "good customer" because of my own circumstances, but although I got a sense that
San Francisco Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
was a bit annoyed with my moving dates around and changing my mind on what I wanted, he remained professional about it anyway.
The actual refinishing job was perfect. Absolutely gorgeous. It did change the color a bit, which I was not expecting; it went from that yellowish coloring that is so common to a more natural maple sort of color. I do actually like this color better, but if I didn't, I'd probably be a little upset that I hadn't been warned that could/would happen.

My (fired) contractor hired people to install and finish a new maple floor. The installation was okay, but the sanding was terrible. There were swirls and high/low areas throughout. They had applied one coat of finish. As many things were going south in the remodel, I fired the contractor and contacted others to deal with the job.

work was detail oriented throughout. I will use them again.
