"The job went very well. They did the roof in about a day and a half! To do this they worked very hard and at various times had 5-11 men on the roof. They were polite, friendly enough, and we were pleased. Of course since the roof was done so recently, and no rain has come yet, we can not say if it works perfectly or not. But it looks good. And, they give an excellent warranty. We got quotes from a couple of other roofing companies. One was a more expensive but would have taken more time to do the project. The other thought we could pay more and gave us a very expensive price. We are glad we chose ."

"Everything went as expected - which for home repairs is unusual. I called for an estimate and after a brief discussion with Bill of what could possibly be the issue, he decided he should come by and check it out before providing a quote. We scheduled an appointment and he arrived on time. This would be my 2nd quote from a chimney repair company. He explained what was needed to get the chimney to a safe working condition. At first I was alarmed because his quote did not include a new liner. This made his quote much cheaper than the previous company I contacted. Then he explained, in detail, why he believed I do not need a new liner. He left and I quickly began researching whether or not a new liner was required for my particular usage. As it turns out, it's not. Some repairs to the mortar joints was all that was required and some other minor work mentioned above. I booked an appointment for the repairs with Bill. He and his assistant arrived on time. They were both extremely professional, explained all the work that would take place and cleaned up nicely when the job was complete. Bill also suggested that we purchase a smoke guard to make the fire more efficient and prevent smoke building in the house. We decided to wait and try it out a few times first but I expect he'll be back out to make this addition. He definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to chimneys. Finally, Bill also pointed out some additional repair work that was required on our roof - which he didn't have to do. It involved a custom made stainless steal plate that should have been replaced years ago. He said that it is most likely the original plate (nearly 80 years old) and should be fixed right away. It probably wasn't replaced earlier because it's custom work and therefore, very expensive. Although this is not work that he performs, he explained what the cost should be when we call out for quotes and also explained what needed to be done if we wanted to repair it ourselves. He even gave us some sealant tape to secure it until we get it fixed. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family."

"Outstanding performance. A deteriorating brick chimney, appx 4 X 2 feet in size and appx 4 feet high, located 40-50 feet from the ground, on the steeply-pitched roof located inside the exterior wall of a house, needed to be removed, and a new flue installed. Some of the other roofers I had contacted wanted to have scaffolding erected (at my expense) which would have involved placing a scaffold in my neighbors' yard. used a "roof scaffold," which significantly reduced the overall cost of the job. The 5-man crew arrived precisely on time. The installation of the new flue was performed by my contractor after the bricks were removed but before the re-roofing could take place. As my contractor was installing the new flue, the crew could have simply sat by and watched, however they assisted the contractor without having been asked. The old bricks were taken down in buckets rather than being thrown off the roof. paid particular attention to avoiding any disturbance to my neighbors. Upon completion of the job, site was IMMACULATE. You could literally not tell that anything had taken place. The tenant who maintains my yard commented similarly. asked, on multiple occasions if I was happy with how the work was going, and he wanted to make sure I was satisfied upon completion. I will use for any future roofing jobs."

"Once we asked to do the job, they put us on the schedule and within a week had us up and running. They also ran into a problem they couldn't fix without doing more work. They were clear about the problem and gave us our options. They worked fast without creating a mess."

"I was a little concerned at first that their crew was so available in early fall to do a repair. The sales representative, , communicated very clearly. He gave us a written estimate on the spot, then visited again to measure (again) the chimneys. He was on time for each and every meeting. We received a contract which clearly stated the cost and work to be done. The work was done in half a day, not the two days they allowed, which was great. Their crew cleaned up after themselves and were careful not to traipse through our house at random. We received an invoice afterwards, which was even divided between us and our neighbors for whom part of the work was done. In short all of our needs and expectations were met!"

"The original estimates was $5000. and 2 skylights for $1100 = $6100. The old roof was laid 9 years ago and after 5 years the roof started to leak and I try to repair it myself with no favorable result. I had 3 estimates using roofing companies from Angle's List. I chose Co. All 3 companies were good, but I found from Rescue very courteous, friendly and $750 less on the estimates. The roof that Rescue replaced was a poorly done and as the construction began, problems arose with wet old insulation, a bad seal around the drain, the roofing material in the valley was not high enough to prevent leaking and the rain runoff on the south side of the roof causing the leaking around the drain. showed me the problems and offered different ways and the extra cost to correct the problem. I decided to have correct the problems and that added on a $775 to my bill. I thought the $775 was fair, seeing the problems first hand help me to decided what has to be done."

"The leak was at the bottom of the chimney, so roofers could never fix it. We have not had any really heavy rain yet, but it has not leaked since the work was done. However, it is guaranteed and they will have to fix it again at no cost if it leaks. I think they did a good job when they came though and I was pleased with the service."

"The cleaning and repair work was completed to our satisfaction. The damper was a different story. They missed and or were late to multiple appointments. Once the new damper was finally installed, it made the sound WORSE. We called to complain and asked them to put back the original damper only to be told was lying about the increased noise and about having a damper to start with. They finally agreed to put a second damper up by the cap and that didn't help at all. When I called to ask for my $650 refunded because the new damper didn't work, I received no return phone call. I wrote a letter only to have it returned unopened. I sent a certified letter only to have it refused. So, now I am out $650 and still have four blankets stuffed up my chimney just to keep the noise down. If you have a choice to use any other chimney repair company - do so!! These guys are dishonest, don't stand behind their work and any customer complaint will not receive a response."

"We needed a few things done at our condo. I got Manuals name from Angie's list and called for an appointment. He did a fine job. He was nice and knew what he was doing. I will call him again."

"Following a chimney sweep by this company, I called back to request the additional recommended service of resurfacing the chimney crown. When I called back, the woman who answered the phone immediately recognized who I was and that I was calling for the additional service that had been quoted to me only two hours earlier! I was very impressed. Made an appointment for the following Tuesday and didn't have to be home because it was all exterior work. While I don't know what time they arrived, the invoice noted that it was 8am, precisely what they had said. When I looked at the work, I realized they had done a terrific job resurfacing and smoothing the chimney crown and even put a new chimney cap on as well. It looks much better than it did before, very professionally done. mailed the invoice and while it was more expensive than quoted, I got a lot more than I asked. Please note that they do not accept credit cards, just checks. Very pleased overall!"
