Cardiology reviews in San Francisco

I have been a patient of Dr.
San Francisco Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
's for almost 10 years now. I am in my 40's but because of a congenital condition I have had 3 or 4 cardiologists in my lifetime. Dr.
San Francisco Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
easily ranks among the best. She is easy to talk to and to question, she listens to you, and she provides excellent care. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

While his office is probably the best in the

system, it is nevertheless hard to get hold of him between visits or to make an appointment. Processes are in place for getting prescriptions renewed, and the staff does their very best to be helpful. The last time I saw him, he wanted me to have a more extensive test than I had previously taken and then come in to see him in 4 months. I made the appointments for both the test and the office visit. During the test, the cardiologist who monitored it was amazed at how well I performed despite the mitral valve problem. Shortly after this, I called to talk to Dr.

who acknowledged (after I chased him down) that this was good news indeed and that I did not have to come back again until a year had passed. However, he chastised me for scheduling the test so far in advance of the office appointment as it meant he had to talk to me on the phone rather than just wait to see me in the office. I think I am entitled to either better instructions as to when to schedule things, or a greater willingness to interact outside of office visits. Dr.

is very experienced, instills great confidence in his knowledge, and interacts well during office visits. He clearly works hard, but that takes away from the kind of interaction I would like to have with a physician who is treating me for the most serious condition I have.

Upon changing my primary care physician from UCSF to CPMC, I asked for and received a referral to a new cardiologist, also in the CPMC system. I was able to make an appointment quite easily (and close-in). My preliminary exam with Dr.

covered everything I felt it should, she explained her findings and then went on to explain that for my most serious condition, there were measurable parameters that would determine if I was a candidate for surgery. I scheduled an echo cardiogram for a close-in date. After that test, Dr.

took the initiative to call me to discuss the results. She wanted me to have a stress echo cardiogram, and she wanted it done on a date when she could be in attendance. The appointment was made. Before I went in for that test, I realized that the prescription for one of my many medications had expired, so I called and asked the person who I was ultimately connected to to get me a new Rx. This came in the mail very soon thereafter. The day before my stress echo, I confirmed through people in the office that the Dr. would indeed be in attendance at the test. She was able to see the parameters directly while the test was going on, and agreed that I was not a candidate for surgery at this time and to come back in 6 months. She explained that I would probably have to repeat the test regularly to monitor the condition. I felt well cared-for.

San Francisco Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
is a great Doctor. He took very good care of me when I was in the Hospital in last February. He has been my doctor for many years. He always takes the time to run the tests needed to be sure. I will continue to see him, as a matter of fact I see him next week for my annual check-up. My insurance is accepted at all office visits.
