"we've had a great experience with him. Our dog was attacked by another dog and he's developed a lot of fear and anxiety and the trainers there have been" so good working with him trying to get him comfortable around another dog again. They've just really been understanding. Not only have the been willing to work with him, they've helped him to be so much better so we're really happy with all the work that they had done and the way they treat him. Every time we come in, they're ll excited to see him and he doesn't mind going there. He gets all excited so you can tell that they're definitely doing something right.

"They are true specialists who work on the complex issues a regular veterinarian could not. They have beautiful and up to date facilities. The amount of education" and expertise is very impressive and reassuring.

Angie's Answers

?

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

My
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Inu is extremely skittish. Dr.
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
is always patient and gentle with him so our visits tend to last a little longer bec she calms him down before the exam. She does not barrel her way in and make the exam unpleasant. She talks in a soothing voice, strokes him and shows him what she is going to do with the ear and paw exam and the shot. definitely a dog whisperer. Staff is good with all manner of pets too. They are quite gentle and you know they love animals.

I see Dr.

because she is familiar with French bulldogs since she has them herself. The people at
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
have been taking care of my dog since she was a puppy, she is seven yrs old now and in excellent health. I like the way the staff handles any claims for my dog insurance which insure I get rapid action s on my claims. They are a very friendly and professional service.

San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
provides excellent quality service for a competitive and reasonable price. I was terribly worried about having my twelve year old Baby go under general anesthesia, and they were very respectful of this, treated Baby thoughtfully, did not move too fast or move towards her head quickly, realizing that a blind cat will be very skittish with that sort of thing (she actually has a bit of peripheral vision, which makes things worse in that she can detect motion coming towards her, but in a hospital setting would not know the source.) I couldn't have been happier with the kindness and professionalism of the veterinarian, or with the outcome of Baby's dental cleaning. I have a house full of senior cats, and trust
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
to treat them respectfully and well. They also collect food donations for the peer cats, and do other wonderful things for the community. So if you want to save money and still be assured that your animals will be treated well and competently, then I highly recommend this animal clinic. I was a veterinary technician for many years, so I

in on things like responsiveness, cleanliness, competence, and customer service. I cannot recommend these people highly enough.

I have never written a negative feedback for Yelp before, although I have been writing feedback for the site for at least five years. I tend to want to think upsets over for a while, and do not like the idea of slamming someone's business. So, in general, I will give my feedback to the business owner in person, or simply leave a neutral (even that I do with hesitancy). However, I am amazed by the treatment I received from the
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, and feel that I must write about it, since it is so far out of my range of normal experiences.
I made, with great difficulty, appointments for six of my animals at this facility. I say difficulty because they make it nearly impossible to connect with them on the phone, and only use emails, which they sometimes answer in a timely fashion, and sometimes do not. I waited for the first email for almost a week.
Each initial consultation with one of my animals would have cost $275, so we are talking about an initial outlay for me of $1650. However, I have no issue with that, since I am sure the veterinarian, Dr.
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, spent extra years obtaining her training. I simply mention it because spending this type of money right off the bat at a facility would normally mean that the people treated you at the very least like a potentially valuable client.
Then, because of health challenges I faced, and a business issue, I had to cancel twice, once many days in advance of their 24 hour cancellation policy, and once 31 hours in advance. At that point, I received a very cool, almost frigid email, in no way acknowledging that I was going to spending $1650 just for initial consultations, let alone what else in the next few months, but instead demanding that if I wanted to bring that particular animal back, I would now have to pay cash well in advance simply to have an appointment scheduled. At this point, I have not, nor did I ever, cancel any other appointments, and have been emailing back and forth for two weeks or longer simply to secure the appointments I have, since it sometimes takes days to hear from these people.
If that had been handled more respectfully, I probably would not have said anything, and would have just paid their demand, but it just rubbed me the wrong way that a client would be treated in such a cavalier fashion. The email really made it sound like I was in grade school and facing detention.
So, I asked them to review the policy, as I was not simply cancelling due to whim, or even an every day issue, which could have been easily dealt with, but for a serious health concern which demanded a surgery, and a vital business issue that could not have been changed. Again, at this point, I simply felt disrespected, and would have settled for some sort of sincere acknowledgement that my business was valuable to this office, that they knew I was not a deadbeat. Frankly, my time is also quite valuable, and I had already invested a great deal of it filling out detailed questionnaires, and, as part of those questionnaires, had written about having volunteered for animal causes and shelters. These people also knew that all my animals were rescues, so they knew that a.) I was a serious animal person, and b.) I am a nice person who is willing to spend thousands to help animals.) The funny thing was that I had already told another friend about this place, and she was also going to make an appointment to come in and bring her pet to see them.
Instead if acknowleging that maybe circumstances are different for different people, and that an unavoidable and last minute surgery, for one thing, might constitute a good enough reason to cancel an appointment, Dr.
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
sent me a dismisal letter stating that she did not want my business, and cancelled all of my appointments. Since the fuss had been because of my surgery, she knew I was having that surgery and that this letter would arrive a day or so afterwards my operation. She could have emailed me last week, when this would not have been so upsetting, and when I could have arranged to make an appointment with another veterinarian who actually will make appointments by phone without a delay of three days and who actually values their clients. Instead, this appears to be another one of their significant, if small, acts of thoughtlessness.
I have always gotten along famously with every veterinarian I ever worked with, but I am now realizing that I probably just had a lucky escape with these people. There are plenty of other holistic vets in the area, as is acknowledged by the list they sent me. If you like being valued as a client & treated with respect, I highly recommend you go to one of the following holistic vets instead, which Dr

This is the best Vet clinic! Our 8 year old Yorkie has been going there for approx. 4 years. They love animals and truly care for them. They listen to the owners concerns and go over all options before rendering services. This last visit, our Yorkie was having stomach problems and they quoted almost $600.00 for tests and meds. This was a little steep for us so after talking it over with the Vet, we decided to go with just the meds and see how our Yorkie responded in a couple of days. The nurse called to check up with us the next 2 days and our doggie recovered. They have a customized website just for your pet, they email you food recall alerts and sent Happy Birthday e-cards on your pets special day. They understand the needs and concerns of pet parents. You'll love them!

Dr.
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
cared for our aging, beloved cat Peechee during the final years of his life, and we're so grateful for everything she did for him and for us both in sickness and in health. She was caring and knowledgable in the ways that you always hope your vet will be, plus her mobile services gave us peace of mind since our cat always hated going to the vet. Booking appointments with her was convenient, and she was always pretty available by email or phone. When our cat became very ill, Dr.
San Diego Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
facilitated specialist referrals for us and communicated very openly with us about our options and what to expect. Overall, she was the best friend we could have had through caring for a sick pet, and the best doc, too. Her bedside manner is incredibly kind, caring and sensitive.Best vet ever.

It cost $25 for each dog’s vaccination, so I spent $50 for both the dogs. Dr. Satowski is the veterinarian there, and she does follow-up calls and checks on me, which I really like. She gets down and talks to the dog, and she has a good repertoire, which I like. She has a good rapport with the dog, and I also like the staff there, they are very gentle with the animals. On pricing, she is not the cheapest by far, but she is not the worst either for the area. Her punctuality is not so good, we always end up waiting.

I went on a Thursday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet. I got right in to an examining room, where the technician took vitals and background of my cat, Moxie. Soon after, Dr. Hibser came in, did the examination, gave shots, and provided some tips. It was a very comfortable experience for both Moxie and myself.
