"The clutch on my car suddenly failed. The car could not be driven. I didn't want a large towing bill, so I looked on Angie's list and found

with an 'A' rating close by. I called them and described the symptoms of the problem. The car was not drivable and
San Diego Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
advised me to use AAA to get it to them as it would be cheapest. They diagnosed the problem very quickly but could not get the required parts locally.

called me with this information very promptly and let me know what day they expected the parts to be available. The car was fixed on the promised day and

stayed past their official closing time to allow me to get my car back in time for the weekend. The estimated price was the price I paid.

"In all fairness to them, I must report that Rapid Transmission finally came through for me. The trick was to send a copy of my Angie's List report to the email address of the company president. He called me that same day, and asked that I bring my car in immediately. Apparently, what was ailing my car was not readily apparent to them, perhaps because of their lack of in depth experience with Merciedes. Over the next six weeks or so, they did figure it all out. They fixed everything by triangulation. Their best guess

to a fix. Then, my reaction to what they'd done was the basis for additional examination, guessing and fixing. This went on for quite a while. The president of the company had my car sent to LA for examination. Finally, they got it right. While I am not enthusiastic about the quality of the initial service, I can say I was impressed by Rapid's determination to make things right, once its significance escalated in the owner's eyes. Throughout the period they were solving all the issues, the employees continued to be polite, at times cordial. All this work was done outside warranty, and I was never charged a penny more than what I'd already paid. The transmission now works well.

"They came referred to me from another company. They did a good job and were very attentive. They are very honest people. They don't talk you into things that you don't need. The owner and the technician treated me with respect, which I appreciated as a woman. I would use them again if needed and would also recommend them."

"My experiences with them have always been excellent. I had to keep a series of old clunkers running back it my college days (when funds were more scarce) and I have been to a lot of shops, and these guys are different. They are trustworthy. Finding a mechanic, plumber, or whatever that you can count on and not have to be suspicious of is like finding gold that s how I feel about these guys. Their estimates were always accurate, prices competitive, work was top notch. They are good at explaining the problem and explaining your options so you can decide on what will be best for your situation. They also back up their work with a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty others have a 6,000 mile/6 month or none at all."

"What I love about this shop is that they treat customers like family. They always tell you the truth in what you need or don't need and when something is worth replacing new or used depending on the age or circumstances of the vehicle. When I took my car to the dealer they said it would cost 4000 and the car isn't worth that much of an investment. Integrity found a barely used transmission and only charged me 1200 for the whole job. We won't take our cars any where else."

"Poorly. Transmission still slips when the car is cold. Numerous returns to Rapid for repair yielded only responses there was nothing wrong. After the warranty period had been over, I happened to take the car to an independent Mercedes mechanic, who diagnosed the problem as being a small ball bearing that sits on a spring, that manages transmission fluid pressure at low rpm's and when cold. He said someone without Mercedes training would not necessarily know about this. WHILE I WAS TALKING TO HIM, I overheard him

a call from Rapid trying to get free info on how to repair another Mercedes. Rapid may know other cars' transmissions, but not Mercedes. They misrepresented their level of expertise, charged a lot, and failed to honor their warranty.

"I was picked up later that day when the work was done. I found upon leaving that the operation of the clutch is much lighter than before and seems to work well. I was told to come back after 500 miles for a free checkout. The work was done to my satisfaction and the truck has been fine for several hundred miles. I think the cost is quite high for a clutch replacement. The clutch disc, pressure plate and bearings were $322.50. Removal of the transmission was $652.00 and other labor was $144.00. Transmission oil was $45 and hydraulic fluid $35 which seems high for the small amount of fluids. I was told that their shop hourly rate is $96.00. Last summer the Toyota dealer was $65.00 an hour. Are all shops charging this much now?"

"I've had an amazingly bad day, and taking my Saturn into Sheens is the only thing that has gone smoothly. Dropped it off in the morning for an estimate and picked it up with repairs complete that afternoon - on a Saturday, no less! Price was very reasonable. Discovered and repaired an oil leak that previous mechanics had overlooked even though I always told mechanics I was losing oil. I'll definitely take my car back to Sheens."
