"Owner and crew were fabulous. I was very impressed with owner's knowledge & creativity. His idea for installation was different than the other companies I contacted. Instead of. 2 rooms with a/c,
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came up with a way to cover 5 rooms!! It costs more than I hoped for originally, but I never ever imagined I would be able to get a/c & heat throughout the entire house,! Worth ever penny and than some! It's so nice to work with a company that is honest, hard-working, and reliable. You really need to talk to
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
before hiring any other a/c contractor!!!!

"Called
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
stating that my heating and air had stopped working. Appointment was made for the following day.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived at appointed hour, and with a smile. He got right to work accessing the problem, and was very professional. During his visit, he did a thorough examination of the unit, even climbed on roof to check the freon level, which was fine. He told me that at some point before I moved in my condo 13 years ago, someone had not put in an air filter, and dust had accumulated on the evaporator, which was never cleaned , and the buildup of debris caused the unit to stop. Several years ago, had unit serviced by a different company, and they never bothered to check the coil for dust debris. Another company told me 5 minutes after arrival that I needed a new unit, which would cost about $6,000.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very polite & explained everything in

terms. Not sure how much life is left in my 40+ year old unit, but it was very refreshing that he really cared about saving me money. I would not hesitate to use him in the future.

"We bought a house in Rancho
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
that did not have AC. We got 4 different quotes from various companies and
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's quote was by far the lowest. After some deliberation and lots of questions to the owner
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, we decided to go with
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. They scheduled the work pretty soon after we decided and were done in days not including some small loose ends that were resolved later. We would highly recommend them to anyone to make their home improvement/repair budget go further."

"I never had a checkup, my furnace is approx. 8 yrs old.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
J was professional, knowledgeable & answered my questions. When he went to my attic to I watched him inspect the ducts & he found a broken one that someone broke & repaired it incorrectly & within time it broke open again. The last time anyone was up there was 7 yrs. ago, either the termite guy or roof guy did this & did not tell us. The ducts are approx 19 yrs old. So
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
repaired it & no wonder my A/C & furnace never seemed to be efficient.
What I have learned from this point on is I or my husband will be following the work people while they do their jobs.
We have been ripped off or given poor service by so many companies that hire people that don't care if they do the job correctly.
THIS IS WHY WE JOINED ANGIE'S LIST SO the companies will be held accountable for their workers. Now when I hire a business for services they know i belong to Angie's List & will write a review.
I am going to ask for
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
again in spring to do my A/C checkup.

"My central heat/air unit would not start right up. It went on and off a few times before running steady. Another company told me I had to replace the entire unit for around $3000. It didn't seem right to me and after reading

"WARNING!!!!! Do not hire this contractor.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came over and gave us an estimate for installing ductless A/C in my home. (There isn't an attic to install central A/C.) He seemed very nice and gave me a very good estimate a couple days later. He gave me a lump sum price, so I asked if he could break it down as parts & labor. His response: "I don't do that" (which seemed like a rude response, but maybe I was reading something into it that wasn't there). Well, fine, that's okay, but you wrote "permits" at the bottom of the quote, but not the price. What would that be? His response (and I'm quoting his email, word for word): "I excluded permits because quite frankly it's a rip off. . . . . I will pull a permit if you want but you'll have to pay for the costs of the permits (electrical and heat pump) and my time to go to their offices and then wait the day of inspection. Let me know." (Side note: I went on the City of San
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's website today and pulled permits and it took less than 20 mins and cost about $400, which was less than I expected.)
First off, that's illegal. The work must be permitted. Second, if the A/C unit were to cause a fire, there's little
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
your homeowner's insurance would pay due to the lack of permits. Third, you won't be able to sell your house until you get permits for it (and by then it will most likely cost even more). All of this was confirmed by an attorney and a city building official. Last, but not least, if he's that unethical, where else is he cutting corners???? How can you trust someone like that?? I thought everything was fine when he came over for the estimate, he seemed very nice. Then it went sour. Maybe he was ticked off because I asked questions? Well, for a job over $6,000, I think a consumer should be allowed to ask as many questions as they want. How can someone run a business like that???
I basically said to him that doing work without permits was illegal and, although I'll pay more for another company to do the work, at least I could trust them. His response? "I was wondering how i was going to get out of this job." Excuse me?????? There are a lot of nice ways to get out if you really want to. If you can't do the job, just say so. I did nothing to p*** him off. I've had a couple of other people in the business look at his estimate - he was obviously cutting corners and doing the bare minimum. Live and learn.

"Technician went into the attic to inspect. In the house, checked heat and air flow coming out of vents and was able to loosen long jammed vents for better air flow.

"First off,
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
(the owner) came to the house and gave me a quote. I had numerous other people from different companies give me a quote over the phone, they did not even bother to come to the house.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
wrote up the quote for me and when he was done with the job, that is what it cost me. He is very professional and did everything to keep the house clean of debris and to look after everything. I was very impressed. His guys who worked on the job were also excellent. He explained the process very well. I was sooo happy that he was able to extend duct work into our cold family room (which was an addition) and it has made a huge change to our lives. I actually cannot believe that we lasted so long with an old furnace, the new one has really made a difference. I am a Realtor so I will definitely be referring
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to my clients when they need either a furnace or air conditioning replaced or repaired. He is a true professional and in my line of work, those are the people I need to work with.
