I waited 6 days to get an appointment to have a leak in my A/C repaired.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
B came out 8/21 and was on time for the appointment window.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
performed a "quick fix" but said he could not guarantee the fix would last. On his bill, he wrote 2 tasks that would be needed to make the repair. I wasn't sure why he didn't just do the repairs then, but trusted that his temporay fix would hold for at least a while and in the interim I could investigate some options. Three hours later, the A/C was leaking again and flooding my hallway.
Called
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
at 4:15 pm on 8/21 asking for the recommended service from
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's bill to be performed. I was given an appointment window for the nexdt day, 8/22, between 2-5 pm. On 8/22 at 4:15 pm I called to confirm that
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
would be there by 5pm.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
told me I was his next appointment. At 5:30 pm on 8/22
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had not shown and no one called from the office letting me know when to expect him. I left a message with the answering service saying
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had not shown yet. At 5:42 I got a call from
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
at
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and that is when
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
finally appeared at my door.
Apparently,
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's diagnosis/recommendation from his 8/21 visit could not be performed. He had "speculated" on 8/21 that he could make the recommended repair from the attic. When he tried to do that on 8/22, it turned out he was wrong. Had
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
performed a thorough investigation on 8/21, I would have been saved the trouble of waiting at home in a sweltering place all day 8/22, only to have
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrive 40+ minutes late to tell me there was nothing he could do for me.
Overall I was disappointed and inconvenienced. After waiting 6 days for an appointment, I did not want a "quick fix" that lasted only 3 hours. Wasted days waiting for
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I had expected more.

I have worked with many fine HVAC companies over the years, but this certainly was not one of them. I contacted
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of their positive internet reviews.....which I now thinking are probably very well "managed". I had this company out to my apartment to assess a problem with a wall heater. After two mis-diagnosis and repairs that they acknowledged that they screwed up, they told me that I would need to replace the entire unit. Being that the weather was very cold at that time and the house had been without heat for several days I agreed. They installed the heater....and all was okay for a couple of days....and then more problems...and more problems....and more problems. There were no less than 10 trips to my property thru this process. They even asked me to check and make sure that there was not a problem with the gas line (shouldnt they have been able to tell that). Regardless, I did have SDGE out to my property twice....no problems with the SDGE gas line.

Basically in the end, they stopped responding to requests to come fix the inoperable heater they installed. I contacted another HVAC company, who came out to the property, diagnosed the problem, and had the heater repaired within 24 hours.....and that heater has now worked without issue for nearly 6 months. I was told by the second HVAC company that the "new" heater somehow included used parts. I cant say how that happened.....but certainly makes me very suspicious after all of my other problems with
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
.

Bottom line is they didnt know what they were doing on this job. They made incorrect diagnosis on several occasions and looked to blame the problem on other things. Even after 3 weeks of repeated service calls they still couldnt get me an operational heater. They basically stopped responding. I think they got frustrated because they couldnt figure it out.....and decided to walk away.

They're probably okay for some jobs....but I would NEVER have them do work for me again or refer them to anyone.

In the middle of a heat wave my regular plumbing/heating company couldn't help me out with a barely functioning air conditioning system in less than 2 weeks. I called
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and fixed the problem 2 days after my call. He was prompt, professional, cared about not tramping dirt and dust onto my white carpeting, and explained what he did and why he did it very clearly. I will use this company for all my future air conditioning/hearing system needs. He gave me a very good price as I was a first timer with the company.

We were very happy with the service and felt that he was giving us good advice about the state of our system. We noticed an improvement in how it was running immediately. He was on time and called when he was on his way. After he left, we noticed the system was doing a better job cooling the house.

Since some cases can result in having to add additional freon, it would have been nice to know the cost of the freon per pound in the initial check up deal, if it was required.
The provider did tell me the price after the initial check up and before I agreed to add the additional cost of the freon but at that time I had no way of knowing if the price was high or low. After doing some additional research later on Angies list it appears that the price was ok. There are some that are higher and some that are lower.
Overall it was a positive transaction and the provider did what they said they would do.

installed our Carrier multizone system 5 years ago, so we called them for service. For annual service we requested replacement of the central filter and check the working fluid level, as the system had not been cooling effectively. We had to special order the Puron filter which required several weeks to obtain. When the serviceman came, he was on time, but seemed rushed. He replaced the filter, but neglected to check the working fluid level. We had to request another service since the system was still not working. The second man came, checked the system, and had it working in 5 minutes.

First
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came to the house and gave us his presentation which when he left we knew more about airconditioners and furnaces than we probably needed to know. He definitely knows his business and how to present it so we would understand. In all the research I did on airconditioners and furnaces, which ended up being the opinions of people like me, the constant item that kept coming up was how important it was to have a good installer. We felt with
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
's knowledge the installation would be excellent and the crew was great and knew what they were doing. When I commented on their ability to get it done so fast, they said that they do this 6 days a week so have lots of experience. The crew of 3 arrived on time at approximately 8 AM and the job was completed by 3 PM. Some of the other companies said it could take up to 2 to 3 days to do the installation. We also had new duct work put in. When they finished they cleaned everything up so well that you would never know that they had been here. They had some one else pick up all the old ducting while they were installing the new.
We were very pleased with their work and would recommend them.

Had to postpone but emailed prior to expiration date twice. They never responded. Hopefully we will get it straightened out but it has turned into a bit of a hassle.
Maybe this will get things moving.

the service tech went thru the complete system. Cleaned the compressor, blew out the drain lines & replaced the indoor filter (which I hate to say was very dirty) with a much better one. Checked the A/C and heater completely. I've had other companies come out over the years and they always wanted to add to the bill.
San Diego HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
answered all my questions, made a few suggestions and was very professional. I will be using this company for all of my future heating and a/c needs and would recommend

and Air Conditioning without hesitation.
