" came to my home and we discussed the many different things I needed done. There were a couple of things I wanted to do first, and we discussed price, which was more than his ad quoted, because Angies had not dropped the ad because it had expired, ad said expired 5/10/11. I agreed to the different price and we set up a start date. agreed to assist me in moving two pieces of furniture I couldn't move myself, also I would go and get the paint for the dining room. He removed the light track and made ready for painting. Prior to painting I questioned him about using primer on the walls and ceiling and also why he was thinning out the paint, his reply didn't"t need to prime, and he always thins out the paint. I got through that and we continued to the bedroom for the flooring and closets. didn't figure the correct amout of flooring needed and I discovered it prior to his starting in the closet and I went to Home depot and bought more flooring. installed the folding closet doors complaining how everything was out of square, and let me know that if anyone took them down they would probably never get them back up. So I paid him and let him know I would call when I needed his assistance again."

"This is going to become my standard intro: having moved to S.D. less than 18 months ago, I was very lacking in knowledge about local contractors. The referrals I did get were from relatives who have lived here for 5 - 10 years. Almost all of these ( being a great example) have been excellent referrals, but in that sense they were pre-vetted, and not discoveries of my own.
This was actually my third service experience with them. I say "them", but the company is really and one or two assistants. My first WCE service visit actually was a "them", when worked with his late father-in-law, a fine gentleman that I'm sure is greatly missed. I had not finished moving in at that point. They carefully "mapped" every single outlet in the place, because I had a couple appliances that I knew required significantly more current draw than most, and I was concerned as to where I could or should not plug those in. This proved to be a very good and useful exercise: it happened that just about every hand-notated entry on the main breaker panel was incorrectly labeled (presumably by a previous owner) as to what the switch controlled ! and set that right, and left me with a detailed map for future reference.
On this most recent occasion, multiple fluorescent fixtures were shot (the ballasts, not the tubes), and I'd already had one of them replaced by a handyman, using something off-the-shelf from Home Depot, but it proved to be CRAP and inadequate. Time to have it done right. I knew who I had to call.
So, has become my local "Go To" guy for anything electrical. Super service. In fact, he is one of those select few I almost hesitate to tell you about, since I think he's already booked up two to three weeks out, and I'm afraid he might become so busy that this figure might double, and then I'd really have to wait for an appointment when I needed him.
had a brief dalliance with a solar panel installation outfit, during which I seriously considered having such a job done -- in large part due to his involvement. However, he made the decision to concentrate on his core business. Now, I think his major challenge might be growing his business -- if the volume of work is really there, in this still-troubled economy -- but it seems that good electricians don't exactly grow on trees. If only cloning was an option ! I would be delighted if every contractor I worked with was more like .

"Since the initial project, they have been out about once a year to perform modifications. The most recent project was on May 3rd 2011. We have always been pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail and honest collaborative thoughts coming up with positive suggestions to either improve or solve issues.
Our initial experience was superb and on subsequent projects they have maintainted their very high standards.

" and his team of subcontractors did an amazing job remodeling our kitchen. We did a ground up remodel, where we also knocked out the wall from the kitchen to the living room, separating the two rooms with a countertop. This really opened up our otherwise 'cozy' living room. The results are nothing short of spectacular and the attention to detail was extraordinary.
The job started with and drafting up a model based on our request of the remodel. The model/draft included AutoCAD type (computer drawings) pictures of what our new kitchen would look like. After feedback, provided a written estimate detailing what he and his team would do and what we would need to provide. We preferred to pick and purchase our appliances and fixtures such as sink and faucets and have do the installs. Other contractors we interviewed included getting appliances, etc, but with we picked everything and saved $.
The job started with demoing the complete kitchen: cabinets, ancient appliances, plumbing, ceiling including lighting, flooring, and the wall between the living room. Next, a supporting beam had to be installed because the removed wall had load bearing posts. had the demo done in TWO DAYS and the beam in within the next week. They were so fast, my wife and I hadn't even started shopping for appliances yet, so we had to catch up. One piece of constructive criticism we gave , was that because we'd never done a remodel of anything before, we would have liked more lead time for when he was ready for items. As I said, they were so fast with each phase, we seemed to scramble to have the next pieces for them.
After the demo and beam, they worked the drywall which is textured stucco. This included matching spanish style arches on each end of the wall, then tying in a perpendicular arch. The result is a work of art and the stucco texture perfectly matches the rest of the house. The drywall included patching over an old doorway from the exterior into the kitchen as well as one window where our refrigerator would now be located. The exterior stucco also matches perfectly. This whole time worked to move plumbing, venting, electrical outlets, switches and gas lines for our range.
Next, the floor was put in. We purchased pretty cheap, but durable porcelain tile from home depot as it is not the focus of our kitchen and we were spending more elsewhere. Even so, it came out very well and 's sub contractor did a great job. The kitchen is a galley style (now more open) so we went for diagonal/diamond pattern floor instead of standard grid/box pattern to add a little style. This made more work for , but he was quick, the grout lines are even and smooth and there are perfect cuts around our cabinet boxes. had the cabinet boxes ready and installed as was finishing the floor.
With the floor done and cabinet boxes in, was ready for us to pick out our granite for the counter tops. We also opted to do a tile backsplash, which was ready to do at this time as well. The backsplash was a bit of a challenge for us to do since neither of us are designers or decorators, so we had to delay and his team a bit as we decided on a pattern we liked. In the end we have already received multiple complements on it, but it was a bit stressful. Some of the tile stores have designers that can work with you (ie Arizona Tile). gave us a good list of 6+ tile companies he recommended, but if you order something not in stock, be forewarned it could take more than a few days. We also picked out the sink so it could be installed under-counter with the granite.
With the granite and backsplash done, next up was plumbing and faucets. We decided to have a countertop disposal button, new disposal, new faucet and an undersink water filter and water heater that both go up to a separate faucet at the corner of the sink. also installed our dishwasher at the same time to tie in the plumbing with the sink (note: the kitchen did not previously have a dishwasher so he had to run the separate electrical to a new circuit breaker, new plumbing, etc).
After the plumbing was completed the team walked me through the fixtures to confirm there were no leaks anywhere. One challenge we had was that the water filter did not tie into the hot water tank and faucet that we chose, so we had to return it and order another one. The second time, we sent the specs to to review before purchasing, so he could confirm it would all match up. I would highly recommend sending him the make and model of almost everything you purchase so he can be sure it will work as it will save you time spent on returns and shipping new items, etc.
was then ready to install the cabinet panels and doors. We chose stylish Plyboo brand bamboo cabinets in flat grain Amber color. When we originally picked the cabinets we originally thought it would look different, but that was based on the sample book that plyboo provided with 4x4 inch squares of samples, and their website did not have enough samples to get an accurate idea of the look. responded with outstanding customer service offering to redo the work if we purchased new materials. In the end we decided to go with the plyboo we already bought and if we didn't like it in a year or so, redo it. Besides, did very custom work where he matched the grain of the bamboo so that each section of cabinets looks like a single block of wood. This includes the corners, which would usually have separate grain ends but he miter the corner joints so that the grain wraps around the sides. It was so well done, Plyboo has asked to feature the cabinets on their site.
Once the cabinets were done, put in the refrigerator (we kept the previous GE Profile as it was the only new appliance in the kitchen before the remodel) and installed the our slide-in gas range. We were going to wait to install the range hood first, but it arrived broken and we waited so long for a replacement, he went ahead and installed the stovetop so that we could start using the kitchen again.
With the kitchen essentially done, the can lighting was installed, with 3 pendants hanging over the countertop separating the kitchen from the living room.
Lastily to tie it all together they painted all the walls.
The compliments haven't stopped coming in."

"We had the work done a few weeks after the estimate, three guys came out who were all very nice and professional. The job took about 4 hours to complete. I will choose again for future electrical jobs."

"This was a very positive experience from start to finish. Heren came out to give us an estimate on a number of small projects. He was quick but thorough, asked a lot of questions and gave us a few options. We picked what we wanted and he came out the next day, completing the job on time and in a very professional manner. He even fixed our doorbell for free! The service also came with a 10% "Angie's List" discount. We would definitely use Comfort Electric again (and I would ask for Heren - he was great)."

"They are a great group. I spent about $600 to $700 when they came out in November. The electrician is not cheap. You can get a cheap electrician, but the guy is so good that he is worth the extra cost. He takes the time he needs to make sure that everything is as per code and we were really looking for somebody who knew the code to do it right. He is not slow and obviously he knows what he is doing, but he won?t rush himself. He is a little more expensive than some of the electricians, but we felt that he was worth the extra cost. He is always punctual. He always calls ahead if it is going to be late. So, he is very good about that. He did everything right the first time. I would definitely use his services in the future too."
