2 simple tips to prevent lower back pain

Although many treatment options are available for patients with lower back pain, it is much better to prevent the problem. One provider explains how to do it.

How often should I get a chiropractic adjustment?

The goal of a chiropractic adjustment is to improve the structural alignment and physical function of your body. How often you should get an adjustment depends on your individual condition and pain level.

Back pain? Before turning to surgery, discuss options with your doctor

Back surgery isn’t meant for everyone with back pain. Discuss with your orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon whether doing nothing at all, physical therapy or chiropractic care might be better for you.

San Diego Chiropractors Reviews

"I like that they have all three services and you get all three when you go in. They have supervisor doctors and you meet with them once a month for feedback. I like that they offer multiple services in one place."
"I think they are very reasonable, as they will not try to hustle you and were able to help resolve the pain that other doctors were not able to correct. Also, they have a lot of great machines (roller tables and heat lamps) and will not charge for missing an appointment."
"He started off by showing me a video of a person with badly deformed feet walking on a treadmill punctuating how bad one's feet can become without proper treatment. That was weird. That person appeared to been have born with a bad foot problem and my problem was pretty specific in one area. He then took me into a examination room and pushed extremely h****** some areas and have me give him pain ratings 1 - 10 based on how extreme the pain was. He dug his thumbs in so hard, it would have been painful for anyone, even one with "perfect" feet. His assistant wrote down all the extreme pain I was having and he commented something to the effect that my feet were not in good shape. This was highly questionable has I had already been seen in the last few months by two highly rated chiropractors that specialize in athletes and the UCSD Sports Medicine Department who all gave no indication that I had "bad" foot problems that needed immediate attention. Here are the real kickers: He was interrupted in the middle of the examination by his "appointment with KUSI" that had arrived. He left to take care of that and left me with his assistant. Earlier in the conversation in his office he stated that he sees about 120 new patients a month and that he only takes on 30. He needed to "qualify" me to see if he would take me on. I could only believe this meant, if I have a high potential spend with him, he would take me on. Further, he insisted that I bring my wife to the next appointment. That was very strange. I questioned him on that, but he gave a feeble answer at best and said if my wife couldn't come, then he could not take me on. I understand that if this was some sort of critical medical situation the required her assistance but

, this was a foot issue. After the appointment, I went home and researched him and his practice and found a very interesting video he did thanking a company called Cast TV for assisting him in generating great cash flow with new customers in his first month of opening and touted what he sales goals were. Watch and listen to the video carefully and you will find other warning flags.
"We originally sought chiropractic care because we had "sore backs." What we discovered was a holistic whole-body approach to health and healing. This October when I was the victim of a high-speed rear-end crash, my first stop (after the tow yard) was

. They did a full exam (including X-rays), rapidly determined the extent of my injuries, gave me a treatment, and sent me on my way. After a couple of follow-on treatments, I was back to 100%."
"They were very personable and competent. They have an excellent reputation, which is why I chose them! It’s also easy to get an appointment and the office runs on time!"
"He is very professional. He was taught by the fellow who developed

's routine. He is involved in the latest technology and equipment. I was very happy with the results of his care. He is very accommodating with appointment times most of the time."
"I have gone there several times. The office is nice, clean and very well organized. They are very pleasant people. I cannot think of anything detrimental to say about them. They are good in terms of their availability. They have been quite effective in their treatment but you cannot be really sure with chiropractic care."
"They have lots of machines, but I usually get the adjustment and electric stimulation. I can always get in. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes at the absolute maximum. They've had the same staff for years and we know them all on a first name basis."

(DC) took the time out of his busy practice to provide me with a comprehensive overview of services and carefully listened to my concerns. After his evaluation and service I have greatly increased range of motion, no pain, and sleep better."
"The service was excellent. He fixed my problem in only about two sessions. He was very easy to talk and he listened. The wait was very short. Sometimes you can even get in the same day."
