"This was an experience nobody wants to relive.
Setting aside many of the scheduling irritations, $11,000 bought us a floor we cannot walk on with bare feet. There are tiles that stick up everywhere, and I have already cut my foot on one of them. The grout lines are all different. Some wide, some not. They also tiled up to the baseboards and grouted to the baseboard. This means there is no expansion room, so come summer there is a reasonable

cracks may appear. Normally tilers lift baseboards and leave a groove, or use silicon grout at the

to provide the expansion space.
Efforts to get it resolved have taken me nowhere. I offered to pay all the material if
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
supplied the labour to replace the tiles and they declined (can you imagine declining an offer that generous!). Hoover offered to replace the skew tiles and when we asked him to do that he tried to charge $55.00 per hour after the first 6 tiles. He just won't stand behind his work!
Hoover keeps blaming us?
In the end we got a certified flooring inspector who confirmed that the problem is workmanship related. Now I have no choice …
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
won't participate in a solution so we will let the courts settle this.
And buyer beware … He presented himself as licensed. His license had expired long before he did our work.
My only advice is to find a contractor that you can trust and that has a proven track record of standing behind his work. I will never be able to recommend this contractor.

"Not alot of variety in terms of bright colors and sizes and through/color body porcelain and bathroom floor tile (i.e., smaller formats, high COF, matching coves and other trim). Too much glass and natural stone (which are (high cost/maintenance/not floor friendly, etc.). Not catering to the small guy is another problem. Warranties on many tiles are pitiful. All of this isn't the dealers fault necessarily, but in my opinion, whoever is manufacturing or designing tile these days need their heads examined.
On the plus side, the guy who waited on me at least was friendly and personable and knowledgeable enough about the product. . Not hoity toity like alot of places or sales people.

"Tiles started popping off a step that leads up to a soaking tub. When I removed adjoining tiles, the concrete support underneath collapsed.
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
came over a day following my call for help; he evaluated the situation and scheduled two of his men to come repair the step. His workmen came promptly at the scheduled time, did a very thorough job of rebuilding only the portion of the step that required repair; they did not try to make a larger project out of the job. The men were courteous, skilled, and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. No one would ever suspect the step had been repaired. I would use
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
again without any hesitation.

"Their variety of tile is OK I guess. However they have a rather hoighty toighty attitude. The showroom is not well lit and display isn't consumer friendly. They need to have more colors of tile especially ceramic/porcelain that doesn't take forever to get. Too much tile in glass. Not everyone wants glass. I hear its expensive and difficult to replace and repair.

I hired
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
to clean the kitchen and bathroom floor tiles. Wax had built up on the tiles and thus making a gooey mess.
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
failed to adequately tape the base of the walls and the
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
of the carpet to keep the messy wax off, which had turned to a black color during the cleaning process. My downstairs bathroom is half tiled and half carpet. When
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
finished cleaning the tiles, I pointed out the damage he had caused to the walls and bathroom carpet. He did try to clean the walls and carpet but had to come back another day to finish the job. He did return but to no avail. The walls are still a little stained and the carpet, which is a light gold color will have to be replace. Also, the baseboards in the bathroom has to be repainted. All this could have been avoided if
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
would have taken adequate preparations before he began the job. I was sorely disappointed. Mr.

San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
has done two jobs for me; the bathroom and kitchen in my income unit, and the bathroom in my 1917 craftsman bungalow, and I cannot say enough good things about him and his work. He is very professional; he always called to let me know when he would be working and he always showed up on time. At one point he was working on my bathroom while I was on a trip to the east coast and I had no qualms entrusting him with a key to my house and knowing that the house would be safe and the work would be finished when I returned. The pride he takes in his craft is evident. The bathroom in my home was original, and after 97 years of settling there was not a square angle in sight. He demo'd the 97-year-old lath and plaster that was behind the tub, floated the floor to level it, and build up an area of wall so that it was plumb. He doesn't take short cuts, and the results speak for themselves. In addition to his impeccable workmanship, he and and

were always courteous, considerate, and pleasant to be around. They go out of their way to clean up the job site, and make sure that the floor and area surrounding the job site are protected from the inevitable construction dust and debris. I could not recommend him more highly!

"Received e-mail from
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
within two days of purchase advising will contact within the week to schedule an appointment. About ten days later, I contacted the company and was placed in contact with the apologetic owner,
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
, who informed me the campaign was very successful and he had been inundated. We set an appointment and
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
arrived on time, as agreed.

set up and began, what I thought, would be a very

process. After cleaning for about an hour,
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
advised me that my floor had accumulated wax and dirt buildup after years of using an off the shelf wax/cleaner. He was upfront and honest, relating that this was
more intensive than the intent of the deal. We negotiated on additional costs to complete the job and returned the next day to complete it.
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
worked for several hours, returning the my floor to it's original state. Everyone has remarked on how the floor looks, with several asking if I had installed new tile.I highly recommend

"We found them to be a smart team and liked them very much. We ended up using someone else for this project because of a family connection. That worked out OK, but not great. We would most likely go with
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
in the future. We will ask for a formal quote when that happens.

"Started out to be a much bigger job as we originally wanted our tile cleaned. After cleaning the carpets, technician began the tile cleaning but it became apparent that our tile had been sealed (poorly) with something wax-ie which began to flake off. I had left to get out of his way and did not leave the proper phone number for him to reach me (thought I had given him my cell number).
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
, the technician, had to decide whether to continue the tile cleaning which was going to be very messy and probably not have a satisfactory outcome. He made the decision to stop the job, and unable to reach me, wrote a detailed note describing the problem. When I returned, while disappointed, I completely agree that he made the right decision, especially since it was going to be quite expensive. We agreed to revisit the tile issue after the holidays. The work that was done was fantastic and at a very reasonable price. We are pleased and will call after the new year to have them back to strip and properly seal the tile. We are very satisfied with their work.

"I contacted this company through Angie's list and based on prior reviews. I spoke with
San Diego Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
and told him about my project. Even though it was a small bathroom project, he was able to get me scheduled pretty quickly. He quoted me over the phone a price that I thought was very fair. His guys showed up on time and were very professional and polite. They did a great job from start to finish on our bathroom and I will definitely use them again and gladly recommend them to others.
