"I recently moved my family from San
, TX to Dallas, TX for a new jobs. I searched through Angie's list for multiple quotes. The original plan was to have movers load a moving truck which I would drive to Dallas and hire movers in Dallas to unload the truck the same day. I spoke to
who told me to obtain multiple quotes for movers. I did this approximately one month prior to our move. He suggested I have one company do the entire trip based on 35 years of experience. Most of the quotes I received were in the $2000 price range to have the movers load a truck, drive it to Dallas and unload it the same day.
said he would give me a deal. He quoted a price of $1000 for the labor for the move. He said he would work out the moving truck details. I received a call from
stating I would have to rent a moving truck which they would load and drive to San
. After searching online, I reserved a Uhaul at a reasonable price. Two weeks prior to the move
asked me to change the reservation to a place closer to him so he could load his equipment. I looked into it but there were not trucks available. Two days prior
called and said he found a truck close to him, so I cancelled that reservation and booked that truck. (I did not know it was a gasoline only truck). He then called the day prior to our move and said he was not sure that he could move me in one day, but would do his best. I asked him to start the move at 7am, so that the move would be quick. The movers showed up at 7:45 am the next day. It took approximately 3 hours to load the truck. The lead mover
was excellent. After the truck was loaded,
called to ask for a cash payment up front. We were unware of this. We payed $300 upfront and prayed they would make it to Dallas the same day. The movers made it to Dallas at approximately 5 pm the same day. The unload took approximately 2 hours. We were told we need to cover the gas expenses. The total cost of gas was over $250 due to gasoline only truck. We scrambled to get $700 from multiple ATM accounts. I wrote a check for the rest.
The truck was apparently returned in one piece, but I got a nice $120 charge after it was returned. I assume additional mileage and gas expenses.
Overall, the experience was way too stressful.
was very unprofessional throughout the whole experience. At every opportunity he tried to shift the responsibility of the move on us. We were unable to find another company due to short time frame. We have had good experience with A+ ratings on Angie's List but this was the first negative one we had. We will not be using this company again and will recommend against using them to our extended family in San
.

"The packing team was excellent. They carefully packed all items in appropriate containers. The delivery team did a good job but one member of the delivery team was somewhat careless when bring items into the apartment. One instance was dropping the queen bed headboard on a brand new laminate floor. Fortunately, nothing was damaged. One item in the shipment received a claim and CTS paid the claim according to the basic coverage I signed for. Overall CTS did a good job and should be recommended for other clients moving into the ARC.

"Not well, unfortunately. We chose this company based on Angie's list review and were pretty disappointed overall. The following are the details. The move started later than anticipated due to an earlier job. Whatever, this happens, I get that, and was not the least bit upset. 3 workers finally arrived. My fiancée and I had boxed and disassembled everything in advance to [attempt to] speed things along. Now, it is worth pointing out that neither my fiancée nor I have never seen workers move so slow. As perspective, we are in the military and probably have had about 5-6 such move experiences each. Noting this, we even began to plastic-wrap furniture to save time. I estimate we plastic-wrapped one-third of the furniture. I carried and staged boxes to make it easier. I worked the entire time. Total distance between the truck and apt was 60 feet probably, and the elevator was reserved so as not to slow things down. They didn't even catalog our boxes (prob not necessary since it was a same-day move....but still). When they delivered at the destination 10 minutes away, they just had to put it all on the ground floor. We didn't even have them unpack anything, not even so much as remove the shrink wrap, or assemble anything. It took them 4 hours. I was upset and got into an argument with one of the movers partway through when he mentioned to me not to help because I would make them look bad, at which point I told him he needed to work harder so we would get done at a reasonable time. Case in point, when they were done packing everything into the truck it literally took them almost 20 minutes to strap things down--at least I presume that's what they were doing. I refused to pay at the time the service had concluded and asked that they bill me. I ended up speaking to one supervisor (he was nice) and then his supervisor. She seemed somewhat reasonable and offered to knock off 30 minutes as a courtesy. Although I estimate this job should not have taken longer than 2.5 hours, I said fine and agreed to pay for 3.5 hours of labor ($119/hr) plus an $81 truck fee. We had an Angie's list coupon so that brought the price down $30 more. I would have given them a "D" but the 30 minutes off the price resulted in the "C" rating. Had they given me an hour off like I requested, I would have given them an acceptable "B" rating.

"I don't know if they're going to do a good job of moving for me. I see lots of good reviews on here therefore I decided to give them a call. Gezz...they kept either hanging up on me or putting me on hold. I called them back because the quote they provided has wrong address's number and I got put on hold and then hang up. They asked me "Can you hold? " and put me on hold immediately, didn't even wait for me to answer. This is not good first impression.
ABmoving, I will change my review if someone in management could call me back. You have my phone number.

"We contacted
San Antonio Real Estate Provider Name Locked
approximately one month before the move. They quoted us $60/hour plus a $50 fuel/trip fee. It sounded good, so I booked them. In the days preceding the move, I tried multiple times to confirm my appointment. The owner did not return my calls or text messages. He did answer a call from my wife and confirmed that they would be at our apartment Saturday, 6/28, at 8am.
The day of the move, both the manager and movers called and said they were on their way at different times. They didn't show up until after 9 and started at 9:15. During the moving process, they dropped one box, which resulted in a broken glass bottle of liquor and busted wine rack. They charged us for the travel time to the storage unit. At the storage unit, they proceeded to unload the truck and pack everything very tightly into the storage unit. They wrapped up and charged us the agreed upon rate.
The next day we went back to the unit to get a few things. We found that we were missing two boxes, both game systems. We immediately called the owner but got his voicemail, so we texted him as well. A little while later, a manager for the company called us back. He seemed concerned and said he was going to follow up with his movers and would call us back in a few hours.
A few hours went by and no follow up, so we called him back. He said one of the movers told him he never saw the boxes and he hadn't been able to reach the other, but he would call us back before the end of the day. Nobody ever got back in touch with us about the missing boxes.

"The movers were incredibly professional and took excellent care of my furniture. They showed up on time and worked very hard all day in the miserable summer heat. Worth every penny!

"The entire process from start to finish could not have been any better. We chose Heritage solely from Angie's List reviews. This decision was likely the most important in the process of buying and selling our home.
San Antonio Real Estate Provider Name Locked
was prompt in returning our call and visited to provide an estimate for his services. He promised not to exceed his initial estimate during the moving process. The crew responsible for the packing did a fantastic job ensuring our valued personal possessions like artwork would be fully protected. Lamps and other fragile pieces were professionally protected from harm.
The movers themselves showed up on time, clean-cut and entirely professional and pleasant. They worked from 8:30 am until 7:30 pm, tirelessly. They moved all furniture, mahogany pieces, sleep number bed, boxes, garage contents, attic contents, and even large containers of favorite potted plants from the backyard.
San Antonio Real Estate Provider Name Locked
, the crew manager, ensured we were happy with every step of the process. When furniture was being delivered the crew was happy to place (and kindly....replace :-) ) pieces of furniture for us. By the end of the day, we were thrilled with their service. They had done an exemplary job.
We cannot give
San Antonio Real Estate Provider Name Locked
and
San Antonio Real Estate Provider Name Locked
enough praise. Moving a large household is stressful enough, but when these guys showed up we knew we couldn't have been in better hands.
