Eyeglass Repair Reviews in San Antonio

When my optometrist said it was time for new glasses in
'08, I chose
because their coupons seemed to offer the best deal of the ones I had collected from various opticians. (I later learned I could probably get a better deal elsewhere, price-wise.) Everything went fine in their store, and the manager seemed very conscientious and professional. The glasses were ready several days before promised. However, it was a different employee who fitted me with my new glasses, and though the manager was there she was on the phone and didn't seem to be supervising or even taking an interest in how it was going. The other lady seemed to be rushing to get me fitted and out the door, which I did not understand as I was the only customer in the store. I did not realize till I got home that the glasses were so crooked I had to have them readjusted right away. Since I did not have time to return to
, I went to my own optometrist's office which is closer. They commented that the glasses were not fitting me at all, in fact I think they said the glasses had not had any adjustments made to them at all. The adjustments were made and the glasses seem to be ok though I had to have them adjusted again a few days ago for seeing long-distance. I called the manager at
to let her know her employee's work was not acceptable, out of courtesy (rather than just talking behind her back) since she seemed to be a conscientious manager. I got little response except for "I do apologize" or something as brief with no explanation. I really don't know if she corrected her employee or was only concerned with getting the glasses sold and me out the door. Hopefully these glasses will last for years. Next time I will probably check out places like Eye Master or
to see what they have to offer in terms of price and frame selection. I'm used to buying frames from my own optometrist (Vision Source) or Lenscrafters, so thought I'd give
a try. They are ok but I'd rather try someplace else next time!
