and a young carpenter arrived at 9 am and discussed with me the items on my list. My kitchen plans were drawn on note book paper. I must admit I was not too well prepared.

took my plans and emailed back an estimate a few days later. I realized I needed to do more work on my kitchen planning so we agreed to a contract on the master bedroom and bath part.

, my project manager, and the work crew for the project. The subcontractor who would be filling in my sunken sitting area was

, the guy who had built my driveway just a few months ago. I also recognized

's name from Angie.s List from when I was looking for wall paper removers. I new that

was choosing the best of the best. Every thing went well except for the drawers in the master vanity. I purchased full overlay shaker style base cabinets. There are four base cabinets three of which meet at obtuse

. Two of these cabinets consists of drawers. I did not realize that I should have purchased filler strips to go in between cabinets when they meet at obtuse

. The carpenters knew exactly what to do. They carefully determined how much to trim off the end of each drawer. Then they stained the ends to match. The end result is I had a more custom look than I would have had had I purchased filler stips in the first place. I had originally intended to reuse my old countops, but decided otherwise once I realized how out of place they would look. With the kitchen contract signed,

brought in

brothers, along with their subcontractors, would be putting my kitchen together. They had the plans from Lowes, where I purchased the cabinets and my plans that I

on notebook paper but no blueprints. They got down on the floor with me and

where everything would go. Before they started digging into the slab to put in the new drain, they double checked with me.

was always asking if this was the way I would like something done or would I like it done another way. There could not have been a better couple of guys to work with than the

"Mr gave us a bid last year on doing this work. We could not do the work then. When we called him this year he honored last years bid. He sent us the granite yard. We found our granite and when the cabinets were ready he came out to measure for the tops. The granite was then delivered and the new sink installed. It was a perfect ...more fit and beautiful. "The guy coming out to give us our quote didn't show up the day he said he would, and never called. We called him back and he apologized and showed up that time when he said he would. He said he would get us the quote that day, but we had to call him a few times to get it the next day. Other than that, we had great service. We went to their showroom ...more that had a great selection of granite, from which we picked the two slabs that they used in our bid. Templating at our home went very well and they showed up on time. They were very fast in getting the granite installed from the time it got templated (about 7 days). Did a great job on installation and the seams were well done. They even put steel undermount bars on the upper server level that we hadn't asked for, but which add strength and look great. The undermount sink was very high quality and they installed it well. The guys who showed up to do the granite install were a bit scary looking with lots of tattoos, but they did a great job and were pleasant to work with. Overall a great experience and we have recommended

to a couple of our neighbors. A few things to keep in mind: they don't do the counter tear-outs and instead refer you out to a guy named

(don't remember what his company name was). He did a good job tearing them out (was about $450) but we could have done it cheaper. We used Rod's Remodeling for the tile backsplash and he would have torn out the counters for less.

also offered to do our range hood changeout and install the dishwasher, but his prices were very high (I was able to do it myself for free). He was a nice guy, but I felt like I was working with a used car salesman. But again, he doesn't work for

required the sub-contracted painter to return twice to refine areas that didn't initially met his standards and to add an additional coat of paint to the baseboards. We chose to have him purchase our appliances in order to ensure they could be delivered to meet our time frame and they would be the correct size and fit properly. When we discovered that the refrigerator had sustained a quarter-sized

during delivery, (

had not been present when the retailer delivered and hooked-up the refrigerator and dishwasher)

immediately said he would replace it. When he checked the dishwasher the next day, he discovered that its handle had also been cracked during installation. He immediately contacted the retailer and, on the following day, they delivered a new replacement refrigerator and dishwasher. That was a Sunday and

was present to oversee the delivery and installation. Throughout the project, he was available at all times by phone and was physically on site much of the time. He has followed up with us twice since the completion of the remodel and encouraged us to contact him if any problems or issues arise. He completed the job as promised, on time and within budget. Not only are we completely satisfied with the quality of his work and his professionalism, we will continue to engage him in the future for other projects, both large and small. We highly recommend
