When he went to seal the old ducting to the new vent hood, he said he needed to use some of that "sealing stuff" that fills in cracks and he had some on the truck and that would cost an additional $10.00 which beat me running to Home Depot to buy a can. It turns out that I had purchased the wrong size so once I had the right materials, I called and he fit me into his schedule to get it done quickly. He stated that if I paid him $400, he would purchase the door from the nearby Lowe's that I had already picked out, and do the entire installation job. All of this is in a written, signed contract. He cashed my check, and disappeared. Numerous phone calls and certified letters demanding he return my $400 have been unsuccessful. I then had Lowe's do the install job. On a few occassions, he has answered his phone and spewed an expletive-filled
