"Initial contact was good and they responded well. Came when they told us they would come. The carpet installed in the bedroom upstairs was done very well. The installation of the carpet in opur family room was OK. When it was installed, I asked about an obvious seam in the carpet. told me to give it a little while and ...more it would blend in. It never did and in fact, the seam appeared to get worse. I called him back and he came out as advertised to repair the seam - he glued the seam and once again, it was noticeable (very) and he told us to give it time to settle and blend in. The seam has never gone away - it is now fully seperated. I have called him multiple times to have it repaired. He came by once to look at it and agreed he needed to pull the carpet up, and replace the seam tape with a wider seam tape. We scheduled that twice now and the first time I had to re-schedule due to work. The second time his wife called to tell me he was sick and we needed to re-schedule ( a month or so ago). I have tried to contact them again with no success. I leave messages and do not get called back. We are very dissatisfied with the job and he response."

I got the quote for both and then ended up going with the higher priced one. the installers were at my house 5 days later. they showed up w/in the promised timeframe. one installer's English was not good, but I could communicate w/ the other. they seemed to do a decent job and even had a pretty good memory for where my furniture had been. this place is kind out in the boonies, but maybe that's why their prices seem pretty good."

They tore out the old vinyl and carpet one day, then the next day they just didn't show up. I had the father's cell number and called him. He said their truck broke down. I called Hicks and their ...more manager called the crew and told them to get to my house ASAP. They did, but with a very bad attitude. Finally, Hicks sent four of their own employees to finish the job, which was done to my satisfaction. Still, I don't think I would use the company again because there's a lack of trust now."
