"I called (this location) and spoke to the Manager ( ) inquiring if they repaired flats, "yes", what's" the charge? "nothing, if we can repair the tire safely". So I removed the tire from my car, inspected it for debris and found a piece of metal sticking out the tread. I circled the metal with white chalk and an arrow on the sidewall pointing to the object. The tire was removed low of air, but not totally flat. When I arrived at , I pointed out the object (circled), the tech replied "cool" (A.J.) and he removed the tire from my truck bed and rolled it into the bay. 45 minutes later, the manager said they could not repair the tire because of a unrepairable blowout in the side wall that he pointed to. But he went on to say, we can sell you a new tire though and interesting enough, the valve stem was inside the tire, very different procedure than I'm used to. Also, the "blowout" was also on the same side (inside) of the tire i had inspected and identified the metal. Needless to say, I took my tire, left, and called the 1-800 corporate number, and gave them the story. They (corporate office, ) said they would in-turn call the store and have the manager call me. I'm writing this review at midnight… still no call. As I told the corporate office, now we test the power of social media… I will never use !

"On 12/6/2014 I was sold a defective tire. It had a repair (plugged) in the sidewall. One week later the tire lost air. I took it to a reputable dealer for repair." I was told that the tire was unsafe and should not have been sold in the first place. No reliable dealer would repair a tire with a hole in the sidewall. I live in San but was in Houston when I needed to purchase a tire.

Auto Tires

Tires not only transfer the engine’s horsepower directly to the road, their grip ensures your car handles, turns and brakes safely. Overlooking tire maintenance can lead to poor fuel economy, poor handling and possibly hazardous driving conditions.

Rachel Hardy

Imagine your car has a flat tire on the highway. You open the trunk and surprise, no spare! Many cars are now equipped with run-flat tires, but how do they work?

Snow tire

The special tread design of snow tires, also known as winter tires, allows drivers to move easily through snow and ice, say tire experts on Angie’s List.

Tire Buying And Repair reviews in San Antonio

About a week and a half before Christmas 2011, our 2001 Dodge Dakota truck was running rough and sounded like it had a muffler problem. The check engine light also came on and so we brought the truck in to located at 6011 DeZavala Rd in San ,TX. The same owner owns the Bandera ...More location as well. We asked to let us know what
was wrong so that the truck could be fixed. We received a call about a day later advising that they had diagnosed
that there was a problem with a catalytic converter and possibly a leak with a manifold gasket and that it was going to be $1,300.00. They advised that we had to pay in advance on a Credit Card, and so we paid on a Mastercard to have the required work done. Several days later we were called again and told that the fuel pump was also bad and that we had to pay another $1,105.00 in advance to have the truck fixed, but we were told that we would probably get 100,000 miles out of it now by the owner .
We picked the truck up on 23 11 and were given a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty (hand written onto our receipt) by the Store Manager …who has been subsequently fired, apparently, for too much re-work coming back…as were told by store technicians). We took possession of the vehicle and before we could drive it the 3 miles home the check engine light came back on. We took the truck back to . They reset the sensor light and told us that this was usual with exhaust work and that it was carbon build-up and that we should just drive the truck to cycle gas through it…that it should be fine. The light came back on upon driving off the lot, but we drove it to cycle a tank of gas and took the truck back. It still sounded rough to us, but they stated it was carbon build-up and they again cleared the sensor light. We drove off again and again the light came back on and so we brought the truck back. This time they kept the truck a week and the technician told us on one of our calls to check on it that it
needed new spark plugs. After it was supposedly fixed, we came and picked it up only to learn that they did not change the spark plugs. They told us that they “de-carbed” the exhaust and that it was fixed.
In the mean time we had contacted Corporate and were assigned a Customer Service representative (Mr. ) to our case and we also took our receipt for the work that had been done to Dodge in San . looked up the charges we were charged and advised that was overcharging us for the fuel pump they billed ($750.00) versus a MOPAR fuel pump through them at $420.00 and that ’s labor rate charged of $125.00 hour is more that the dealer even
charges ($99.00/hour). They also did not understand many of the items were billed for as to why. I told all this to Mr. at Corporate and was told that the on DeZavala was privately owned and that he can charge whatever the owner wants and that it was our problem...Mr. told us that it is just a case of “Buyers Remorse”. I asked Mr. if this was ’s position and they way they treat their customers and was informed that yes, that it is just our problem.
The check engine light came back on again, of course, and so we again brought the truck back and this time the owner told us that the exhaust was shot and needed to be replaced and that they had put a “band-aid” on it. We were upset as we never asked that a band-aid be put on the truck…we asked that the truck be fixed and were told repeatedly that it was. then told us that “he would work with us on the price” to fix our truck. We told him that we had already paid him $2,400.00 in advance and that they did not fix it and we were not paying another dime and expected the truck to be fixed. He told us that he would go look at the truck and figure out what could be done.
When we next were able to contact him a couple days later we were told that he would replace the entire exhaust system from the engine all the way to the tail pipe at no additional cost, but that he was going to use “Junk Yard” parts. We were again angry and requested new parts, but were told that this was the only way he would fix our truck. He then told us that he would give us a 3-year warranty, which we questioned how he would warranty the truck with junk yard parts, at which point he backed off and stated he would give us a 1-year warranty”. Upon finally picking up the truck again on March 6, 2012, we took the truck to Dodge in San on March 7th to have them to make sure the truck was safe to drive and to inspect the work done by . Dodge advised us that it was some of the shoddiest work they had seen and that we needed to come and see it, which we
did and took numerous pictures. The exhaust system was cut in about 5 places. Two different sized catalytic converters were installed and they should be the same according to Dodge. The entire exhaust system was not replaced (not the muffler or tail pipe), different size pipes were welded together. At one place, one was slid right into another and then welded around the
pipe. Dodge stated that the welds looked like they had been performed by someone who was training.
The Owner is rude and lacks any customer service values. He informed my wife at one point that he would not talk to her and that he does not like woman and her questioning their service and work was “why he refuses to talk with woman”. After our final attempt to have the vehicle correctly fixed, we were told by the Owner, , to “just come pick up our d*** truck”. We attempted on multiple occasions to try to get , the owner, to rectify the situation with repeated refusals. We even finally had a scheduled meeting with him on 21 Mar 12, which we confirmed the evening before, to only show up and have his staff tell us that he is not only not going to show up, but that he had left the state.
We complained about the level of service and fraudulent work to Corporate with no restitution. We filed claims with the Better Business Bureau to only have this retailer refuse to respond.

Their prices aren't great; you can get same prices at the grocery store for food and online for everything else. Executive membership is bogus. You pay them an extra $55.00 (total $110) to earn cash back. We were told our rewards would be equal to or greater than our membership renewal fee. They weren't, and it turned out they only meant ...More the rewards would be equal to the BASIC membership fee. If you ask them to bring your rewards up to equal your renewal fee, they will downgrade your membership to the basic version and you will no longer earn rewards. Unless you pay them another $55.00.
don't fall for the no-fee American Express card. We got the card for the travel benefits, but American Express later told us that the no-fee membership doesn't include any travel benefits. We could cash a check at their offices abroad in in major cities, but when we tried to look for one in a major city in South America, it didn't exist and no one knew what we were talking about. And no one took American Express, but everyone took Visa.
The card also earns cash rewards, but AMEX only pays out once a year in February. If you cancel the card, you forfeit any earned rewards. We wanted to cancel our card in November and gave up the entire year's rewards, more than $63.00. No one at told us this when we signed up for the card. And when I went to complain to them, there was nothing they would do.
Except refund my membership fee if I was dissatisfied. Which I was. And they did.

The location I went to was 4439 N Loop l604 West.
Upon inspection of all 4 tires, it was recommended the 2 front tires should be replaced. Considering all 4 tires were 6 years old and over the life expectancy, I decided to replace all the tires. Service employee, Nick, was friendly, courteous and informative about which tires to purchase with ...More regard to life style. The purchase, installation of new tires, wait time and customer service was all a pleasant experience.

and Auto Store doesn't have a fancy building inside or out. don't let that put you off. The service was excellent and they have a wide selection of tires, including some better values than you will find in the "big name'' stores. The staff are friendly and they don't try to sell you a more expensive ...More tire than you need. And they are fast. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Overall, I was quite impressed.
- Cecil W.

I left the store on my doughnut hole spare tire. I called Tues and received no info. I called Wed and found my sales rep was on vacation, but another tech looked up the status of my tire replacement and told me they had one coming in from . I'm thinking, great why couldn't someone havre notified me. Anyway, the tire ...More should be in Thurs. On Friday morning they still cannot locate my tire, but the tech says he has the FedEx tracking # and it should be on the 3:30 delivery to the store. Oops, I get a call about 1:00 that the tire is in the store. Great I tell them I'll be right down. Now, I'm tracking the time! 2:04- I arrive to wait in line. I finally get to the front and I'm told by , the Sales Manage, my tire is already mounted and ready to be just put on the car. It should only be " a few minutes," tells me. During my wait I'm hearing and others tell folks it will be about an hour because they were backlogged, but are now catching up. 3:04- I approach , the Sales Manager, and tell him I can see my car in the lot and it has not moved. His reply was that they were busy, but I would be in the next available slot. 3:15- My car is now in the 1st stall. 3:27- My car is ready. During my wait I watched the chairs around me empty and even a few people who arrived after me get their car before me. Another customer inquired about his car and he received the same answer I had and, miraculously, his car appeared in an empty slot! The sales folks are polite, but blowing too blowing too much smoke. If you have an inordinate amount of time, use them; I don't have extra time. If they would have been up front I'd adjusted my schedule accordingly, but I 't buying new tires and, therefore, forgotten.

Stopped in to order tires for 2006 Mini and although they were very crowded with customers, I was helped within moments. The sales/service rep ( ), located tires at two other locations and had them brought over to install within the hour. Absolutely amazed with service as other places I had checked for ...More these particular tires either didn't carry them or woudn't order them. The tire warranty and the free monthly tire check service was explained. Hands-down, this was the best tire purchase experience ever!

He has been my mechanic for years and I tend to follow him for years. I spent about $120 on that last job. I continue using him because he is very knowledgeable and he is continually furthering his education. He is very professional and nice. He explains thing so I can understand what he is doing. Their office is very and I tend to wait a little ...More bit when I and trying to take my car out and pay my bill, but other than that they are pretty nice and professional.
- Julie W.

They were quick and honest. They fixed everything and got me all new tires for a lot cheaper than I would?ve gotten at a discount store. They were very professional and knew what they were talking about. Others would?ve charged a lot more just to do an analysis on the car. wasn?t going to charge me any more than what I needed ...More to pay. I was really happy with their service. I took the vehicle to a discount tire store to get an estimate for four new tires, and it was still more than what I had to pay . They were just fantastic.
