"The problems were resolved, but it still was extremely time consuming, especially considering that it was concerning AutoPay,which is intended to make the billing process streamlined.

"I have been trying to reduce some monthly bills and I called
to see how I could reduce my monthly bill for my internet service. The representative reviewed my service and suggested that I purchase my own modem and return theirs ...more for a saving of approximately $7 a month. The modem was $19.99 on Amazon and was here in a couple of days. I called TWC and gave them the information about the modem then added it to my account and get me the discount that night. I was impressed. "

San Antonio Cable Tv Providers Reviews
"I was having problems with the internet. The operated ran some diagnostic test to try and fix on their end. They were not able to fix it remotely so they sent out a tech the next day. He was able to fix the problem with no issue. I was up and running in no time.
"I would have canceled with AT&T because they do not impress me overall, and they initially wanted to charge me about $200 to transfer my service to our new address. When I decided to cancel and give another ISP a try at our new address, I got a representative who worked with me to clear off the transfer charges and also give me a 50% discount for ...more the next contract year.
In general I think it's ridiculous that you must threaten to cancel in order to get an unreasonable fee dropped. If they had not dropped that charge, I would have absolutely switched.
That being said, the trend these days with any ISP seems to be they want you to bundle in order to get a decent price. I do not have television service at all, so that is not something I intend to do. AT&T gets to keep my business because now I know if I argue with them I have a
to get a more reasonable rate. Sad but true.
Their service techs have been nothing but great and on time when I started service both times (previous house and new house). So for that area, the company has a great rating. What I don't like about the company is the constant badgering via email and snail mail to expand my service. "
"Automated answering to a call for information - generic message - I did ask to be notified after repairs were completed. 2 days after service was finally restored, I got a robot call that told me nothing I did not already know. This is typical of how all my service needs have been handled for years. I wish there was another provider - I would drop ...more TW in a millisecond. "
"Overall, TWC is ok, but could be better - recently had a tech come out to fix the internet connection - turned out to be some bad cabling/filters on the line. The tech was good and finished in a timely manner and showed up about when they said he would. Since we can't get service from any other provider we are stuck with TWC due to the fact we ...more are located just outside the service range - some of our neighbors use the other company and they ALWAYS have trucks in front of their house. Mostly TWC could do a better job in pricing / service options - just to get "decent" internet speed is really overpriced. Certain on-demand channels are extra, etc. Mostly I think they could a better job in offering expanded packages and pricing for cable/internet. "
and his co-worker came out one afternoon to look at what I wanted done, gave me an estimate, and were able to start right then. They rerouted the cable wire from outside to behind the wall, and added and electrical outlet that would be behind the tv. They attached the TV mount (which I supplied--but ...more they would have supplied one if needed) to the stucco wall , then hooked up the TV and checked that everything was working properly. As it turned out, the cable wire, which the Time
tech said was active, was not active. These guys climbed up in the attic and followed all the wires, made all the right connections, and got everything working! It took them about an hour longer than they planned, but they didn't charge any more than the original estimate. Oh, and they cleaned up, too. Excellent job, excellent service. I highly recommend them! "
"The first person that came out was great. Then for the next 2 weeks, their contractor that they hired was rude and nasty. The neighbors cancelled the service when they found out their yard had to be dug up to set up the service. I refused to let AT& T destroy my yard again for TV. They could hand-dig without destroying the rest of the yard. AT&T ...more did it about 10 years earlier and dug up about a third of my yard and left the mess. After they realized they didn't have to dig it up. Oops!!! We felt that if the neighbors want the service, their yard needs to be dug up this time. They cancelled on Oct. 4th because they had problems in the past, too with their yard being destroyed, but it took a until Oct 14th to get it straighened out and a lot of tempers. They had someone at my house everyday for 10 days trying to get into my yard with a tractor. They did not want to pay up front to replace my flagstone patio and sprinkler system. They reiterated over and over that they could do whatever they wanted in my yard and whenever. I spoke to an attorney and no, they do not have the right to destroy your property without compensation. After the cancelllation, they painted orange and yellow all over my front yard. I had to get out and scrub it with water hose and a brush. "
"Three things I can't stand... liars and those who profit thru deceit and trickery. First when I signed up for
in Sep 2012 I stated I did not want all the free premium channels and the NFL Ticket. I was told I had to wait three months then I could call and cancel. In
2012 I called and cancelled ...more the free premium channels and NFL Ticket. There were other items they provided for one year that were free which came to about 40 dollars when the ran out in 2013. Well here we are in Oct 2013, 1 year and part of a month past my original sign up date... and I just found out that
automatically renewed NFL Ticket and are billing me for it,even after I had called and had them note in my account to delete the premium channels and NFL Ticket. I called
and they stated that the found where I had cancelled the premium channels but could not find where I cancelled NFL Ticket. ANd since they had already started the season and were billing me I COULD NOT CANCELL and MUST continue to pay the 37.49 for the remaining NFL Season or 5 more months. To no avail I tried to explain but only got you WILL be billed anyway. So I stated, put a notice not to renew next year under any circumstances, and was told, I could NOT do that at this time, that I must wait until the season ends in
2014, then sometime after
17 2014 call them and they would put a note not to renew. The same thing I did last year but something they say they have no record of. They also said they sent a letter to me in June saying they were renewing the NFL Ticket, a letter we never received. They stated they did not need to prove we got the letter, and that since I did not call and tell them again before the NFL Season began I MUST pay for the entire season and could NOT disenroll now, I had to wait to the end of the season. SO BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE PRACTICES THAT depend on someonelse keeping accurate records and doing what they say the have done. The email I got only says they made the changes I requested... but not what those changes were. Since I never received a bill for the NFL Ticket and it never appeared on my statements as being billed... I assumed... yeah assumed... that they had completed the dropping of both the premium channels and NFL Ticket. The fact that I can't stop them from renewing the NFL Ticket until
... four months from now... gives me the impression they are using time to their advantage. First, since the billing stops in
, I won't see it on my bill in
and thus may not realize I need to call them. Well I will put in on my calander this time. ANd come Sep 2014... I'll be looking for another TV provider. ALso when I called the folks at
... the Supervisor I talked to stated they had been billing me since
2013... but the season didn't start until Sep... and this is the first bill we've see... so he lied about it already billing for four months... he also would not give me a number of point of contact at Corporate HQ... told me to go find it on the web site... guess what... no corporate contact info on the web site... on the same folks I had already talked too. Well live and learn. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
as even though a mistake was made they REFUSED to fix it, and lied about how it occured and noted that they only have to say they sent you a notice and do not have to prove you got it or that you were otherwise concious of what was about to happen, and once it happens you CANNOT discontue it. I WOULD ADVISE YOU FIND SOMEONE ELSE and DO NOT ENTER INTO A LONG CONTRACT.
SPOKE with a
Retention Agent who checked past contact and found where I had tried to cancel the NFL Ticket, and he immediately recinded the payment (will be a credit on our next bill) and placed a notice not to renew the NFL Ticket. Offered a free 2 month subscription to Stars that WILL NOT automatically renew... And appologized for the incovenience caused. So we are now back to a workable relationship. Its a shame it took someone this long to resolve this issue but at least
has folks that will listen and act as needed. So thats an attaboy. "
