"Had a little trouble getting an initial callback, When contact was made with technician response was very good and work estimate process went well. Scheduling of work was prompt but on day of appointment technician was delayed by several hours due to work on another project, Technician's boss did call though the morning of the appointment to inform us of the delay. After this initial delay all work was accomplished very professionally and on schedule."

"Called for an estimate on refinishing a bathtub and came out the next day...right on time. The estimate was fair and we set a date a few days later. The two men came promptly on time only to find a very slow leak ...they explained they could not refinish the tub with a leak. They were very nice and courteous...we rescheduled for the next day. Everything went quickly and the tub looks great.
I enjoyed working with this group....prompt,courteous,and efficient."

San Antonio Bathtub Refinishers Reviews

"About a week prior to the actual service date I called two different service providers for estimates. Both came to the house at different times. were the second to visit and their estimate was more within our price range. We scheduled for their next earliest available appointment, which was a week later. As this is a one-bathroom house, we knew that we'd have to get a hotel room for the night, which was not a problem. The two men arrived at about the scheduled time and worked for about two hours. They did warn us that we could not use the tub nor sink for at least 24 hours while the new finish cured; we knew this and thus were prepared. Though we had moved stuff out of the bathroom, they were more thorough and removed everything to ensure that none of the spray to be used would settle on anything. They also removed the old caulking on the tub, which cause a small triangle of the tile to break and come loose, which they did point out to me and promised to caulk back into place (this was not a terrible issue for us because the tiles will also eventually be refinished or replaced). Then they covered with brown paper and tape all the exposed, permanent areas in the bathroom. One of the men then performed the actual refinishing (which I think involves some industrial sanding of the surfaces and then spraying of the new "surface"). This first phase of the procedure took about 2 hours. There was the expected very strong smell. I paid with a credit card over the phone for this service. The next morning the gentleman who gave the original estimate a week earlier arrived to check the work and remove all the tape and protective paper. He also fixed the small broken tile. I asked about the proper care of the surface and he ( ) let me know that vinegar and a soft cloth would do the trick, and also suggested that car wax be rubbed on the surfaces once a month or so to preserve the finish. The finishes of the tub and sink now look brand new."

"The employees were on time, very courteous, and clean. No mess left behind. The best part was the two day turn around time. They do great work! "

"This sealant/coating smells really strong so be sure and have your windows and doors open when they start. They covered everything in my kitchen so there was virtually no mess - my sinks look great. "

" did a great job. stripping the old finish turned out to be more difficult than normal, but he persevered. He filled in the damaged spots and then refinished. He came back the next day to the finish to a shine. I noticed some minor damaged spots he missed once the tub had a polished finish, so he came back a few days later to repair those few spots. The tub looks brand new."

"I had used when I lived in KS for a shower repair, so thought they would be appropriate for this shower - the technician cleaned the and then sprayed and hardened multiple layers of a resin or plastic substance (I think) in a perfect color match. When finished with that process he completely recaulked the shower and I was good to go. "

" came out to the house and gave me an estimate. A few days later he showed up and did the work. It took two trips to do the work and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The tub looks great! They added new hardware to the tub and threw in a non-skid surface. I highly recommend."

"Very well - they told me exactly how they would perform the work and how long it would take (2 visits, about 2-3 hours for each visit), so there were no surprises. The tech was very careful to make sure we didn't have heavy fumes in the air around the bathroom and he kept everything very neat and clean. Plus, my schedule the second day was very erratic, and they were very understanding about me having to shift the time of their second visit."

"The resurfacing was startlingly effective! And the very low price made it a no-brainer when we were deciding whether to replace the tub and shower or give Surface Specialists a try. The downside is that the adhesive is sprayed on and the plastic did not confide it to the target areas in either case. Nearby surfaces (toilet, marble countertop, floor) seemed to have a residue on them but it wouldn't wash off. Later, we found that baby oil removed 85%-90% of it. I also had to ask at least three times that the crew attend to the grouting, pointing out the missed areas each time. And they never did get 100% of it. On the last pass, the owner came with a crew and he seemed to genuinely want a satisfied customer. On value -- extremely low price and 80% good work -- this company scores high."
