"Upon completion of the patio they planted grass seed. The weather conditions were outstanding from May through June for the seed to take. I called them back and" explained that the grass seed did not take and the association I reside in was threatening me to make the necessary arrangement to meet their standards....grass not dirt/mud and weeds. They came out a second time after contacting the owner who refused to speak with me, promised to put down more dirt, seed and fertilizer and a blanket, as the man who performed the initial seeding stated that the birds must have eaten the seed. They did not provide a blanket and again the grass did not grow in the areas damaged. I contacted them several times with NO response. I was under pressure from my association to repair the damaged areas, therefore, I hired a landscaping firm to do the work. I have not grass at the cost of an additional $325. I am considering a negative report to the Better Business Bureau. Do NOT hire them for concrete and/or landscaping projects.

"All around excellent experience. Family owned and operated business with great employees. They even helped me move a few heavy things with their dolly before getting" started on the garage floor. Only took them a couple hours to do my entire garage, closet, and they even got under the platform my water heater sits on. Its been over a month now and the floor still looks new.

From the wall street journal online:

"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"

My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
I agree with your choice - this is about the only product that can realistically, for a large room, be taken out and cleaned up after a flood and reused, thouhg carpet can be if you strip it into smaller pieces to carry wet, AND you have somewhere to wash and dry it - that is usually the problem. However, bear in mind it still has to be done within about 2 days or mildew/mold will grow on it, and may or may not be totally removeable. My personal preferences - mostly because their products are consistent, the joints stay snapped together, and they are not overly soft (a problem with cheap vinyls) are Pergo, Tarkett, Armstrong. Whatever you buy, be sure it can come back apart - some plank products are not made with a self-adhering contact glue in the joints that prevent you from taking it apart again, and some brands their snap design, while maybe better at preventing joint separation, cannot feasibly be unsnapped without tearing or breaking it off. Also, be sure whatever brandname and product line you choose it 100% vinyl (other than the urethane surface protective layer) - many vinyl floor products have paper or fiber cores or other water-absorbing components. Remember that, on concrete, since it wicks soil moisture through it, you till need a 6 mil vapor barrier under the flooring and positively sealed all around the edges to avoid the risk of mold growing on the underside of the vinyl.
Agreed.  If you have existing cracking in porcelain you need to know the cause first.  I don't know of any reputable contractor that would dare install tile over existing tile.  Also, any manufacturer warranties for defects would be null due to improper installation.  Did the contractor offer this solution or did you ask for it?  The mear fact that he is agreeing to or offering it tells me you need to leave this guy for someone who knows what they are talking about before he does only half the job which will have to be redone in the near future, costing you more in the long run.

I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par.  The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right.  This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

Epoxy Flooring reviews in Salt Lake City

About a year and a half ago, we used to install an epoxy coated floor in our previous home with a two car garage. At the time, we were trying to sell the house and wanted it to have something that really made it pop to prospective homeowners. They did a terrific job, so when we recently bought a new house, we decided to have ...More them come and do the floor in our new 3-car garage before we moved in. Once again, the garage looks absolutely awesome! Epoxy coated garage floors really enhance the look of any garage and is the best service provider to do the job.

From estimate to completed job, was fantastic! Professional, polite, reliable, courteous - everything you could ask for in a contractor. He arrived when promised to review our job, explained all our options, showed us plenty of samples. This guy knows what he's doing ... he walked through our garage, looked around at all ...More our tools and supplies, large and small, and told us how much cabinet storage and hanging storage we need. He was dead-on right!
We had to book out six months in advance because we scheduled electrical work, painting and installed baseboards ahead of 's installation. We also resurfaced the floor and had to re-pour the concrete aprons. is very organized and manages his time very well. He arranged for a storage pod (from another contractor) for our garage contents ahead of time, and it was picked up after the job was done so we could put everything back in our new garage. Six months in advance, and he stayed right on schedule.
is very particular about the job he does and his finished work. Turns out the baseboard we installed wasn't accounted for when he initially measured, so he trimmed it to fit. We noticed one of the cabinet handles wasn't precisely level with it's opposite door handle and figured it wasn't a big deal and not fixable (holes were already drilled). Well, he noticed and insisted he could fix it. To our surprise, it's perfect, and we can't tell it was moved at all. Also, one of the cabinets was slightly damaged, and we may not have ever noticed. noticed and made sure the manufacturer made us a new one! He came back a few weeks later and installed it.
We highly recommend ! A little expensive, but totally worth it when you consider the entire experience. We contacted three other garage makeover contractors, and no one compares. The quality of the products is outstanding, and they are very nice-looking too!
- Sally D.

Very informative, professional, work area was kept clean with grinder dust removed as he worked. He did all the work himself - and I would recommend him highly.

Excellent experience with this company. Garage floor looks better than new. We highly recommend them.
Had to wait around for them the 2nd day because I forgot to ask what time they would be returning.
- Cathy C.

Install exactly on time.

Return follow up exactly on time.

If you factor out the quality of work and all this company had to sell was customer service, they would still be the best.

- Roberta S.

Everything was perfect beginning with scheduling the job, arriving on time on Monday, and completing the job and cleaning up on Wed. The job looks great. Thanks!
- Robert D.

Provider gave a 5 year warranty covering "any and all repairs". Within a few months the floor began cracking and peelingi in several places. After numerous attempts, owner to my home and "fixed the damaged areas. Several months later the garage floor began peeling and blistering in many different areas. I attempted ...More to contact numerous times and he finally agreed to come look at the damages. He never showed up for the appointment and stopped returning my calls.
Stay away from this Provider. He does shoddy work and does not honor his warranty.
- Jeffrey Z.

The scope of this project was challenging, repair cracking and apply epoxy coating for a second floor concrete slab with a history of leaks into the sunroom area below. And, of course, make it beautiful. and crew did a fabulous job from start to finish on this project. Communication was excellent, cost was fair, crew was respectful, ...More on time and knew their jobs. I asked to be on site while the work was being performed and he was here the entire time. We are also considering other indoor epoxy coating projects with .
