cost $1000 dollars new 22 years ago. We find this price to be outrageous. After googling the price online we found it to be reasonable to charge as low as $200 and as high as $500. We will not be back with this vendor.

"He removed the workings of the clock.
He oiled and cleaned the workings
He had to replace a part that the pendulum attaches to, which was a bit awkward but he got it.
A new nut was placed of the small bolt for the hands.
, also was very good in explaining what he was doing, how the clock was going to work and did suggest that if I wanted to replace the movement, he called to make sure it was available and the general cost.

He was friendly and I was extremely pleased with the service. I will call him again when I need or decide to replace the movement.

"After moving cross country the hour striker on our

mantel clock was off, at 3 o'clock it would strike nine times. When I called
Salt Lake City Antique Clock Repair Provider Name Locked
to ask about fixing it they told me over the phone how to do it myself! The instructions were clear and within a minute of ending the phone conversation our clock was chiming accurately.

I am so pleased that they helped me over the phone and at no charge that you can be sure I will use them in the future and recommend them whenever I can.

"It went well. He assessed the problem, took the clock itself then repaired it, tested it and brought it back. The process took a couple of months. A total professional. I recommend him without reservation.

"I would definitely recommend

Danno to anyone wishing professional repair service for a treasured object. He did a wonderful job on my Grandfather's clock. It now runs, well, like a clock!
It was a pleasure to listen to him and learn something about the care and maintenance of these clocks. He also said the clock would take about two months to repair. He was right on time.

" The movement was partially frozen and he had to remove all the old oil. He replaced it with new oil, touch-upped the base and regulator and did a test to make sure it was running okay. He delivered it to my house and set it up. No problems as of today.

"Not great. Provider quoted $76 flat or travel to residence. Fair deal. Sent a guy (not himself). NO problem. The guy looked at the clock, rocked the hand and didn't bother to wait to see if it worked. Simply said done. I had explained to

the problem that the hand would rock but would stop after 15 minutes. The word never got to the guy. The guy then tries to "sell" me services. Barely looking at the clock, he says $398.00 to clean it 5 hours. He would take $398 or I pay him $76 + tax + gas surcharge + ?? whatever else (none of which were mentioned in my phone call to

). I explained to him that none of this was mentioned by phone and that I would not pay anything more than $76 and he left.
I was happy up until he used the salesman's ploy trying to up my original agreement. I also question the $398 which it feels upon reading all the reviews that this might be the targeted amount per residence, probably whether the clock needs it or not. Just my guess. I selected this location based on the reviews; but, I wad definitely not happy. The $398 was not the problem. The lack of communication and/or dishonesty I couldn't tell was what got to me. Consistency is very important. Will not be back.

"I sent an e-mail to Mr.
Salt Lake City Antique Clock Repair Provider Name Locked
expressing concern regarding features of my mother's grandfather clock that were not functioning properly. The chimes were not working, the gong was not sounding the correct time, and the 3 brass weights were not descending in simultaneous fashion. Mr.

responded to my e-mail the same day by phone and made arrangements to stop by my home the next day after closing his shop in Inverness. He was prompt and personable. He was efficient and thorough while inspecting the mechanics of the clock. I anticipated and expected efficiency and skill from an authorized service repairman; but I truly appreciated his willingness and ability to communicate to me information about the clock, explaining some of the functions, such as the moon dial, the various chime settings, the placement of the chime

, and how to reset the time when necessary.

I was pleased with the successful results (a properly functioning grandfather clock). He examined, assessed, and resolved (which included some cleaning, oiling, and resetting) the clock situation within the timeframe and for the price that he had quoted me based on his preliminary diagnosis, although also had previously informed me of the additional cost involved if the motor needed removed and serviced. He told me to phone with any questions and provided a receipt and phone number. I did call the next day with a clock-related question, which he answered very kindly. I am very pleased with the quality of service and with the gentleman and will call him again for further questions or problems with my clock. I would recommend him highly without any hesitation. I am happy that I found him!

"Provider arrived on time, fixed our clock and it is still running a year later. He was friendly. Previous clock providers failed to fix the clock in several tries.

"Bill, the master clock repairer, was very personable, explained what he was doing to the clocks, pointed out some interesting repair that was probably made over 100 years ago and was obviously very knowledgeable and informative. I would have no hesitation to call him again or to recommend him to others.
