"7 cats had shots. 1 had blood work drawn. 1 cat went psycho, and only got shots so 6 had exams. 1 cat needed immediate dental work. Dr. Weagly got lab results to vet who did actual dental surgery the next day. Been using Dr. Weagly for 20+ years. I've had as many as 15 cats seen in one day (has to be booked well in advance). In 20 years, this was the only time I've had a cat go psycho that couldn't be examined. In 2010 she had to come twice to put 4 cats to sleep. Handles with great care and compassion. Prices VERY competative with vets in a building. She doesn't go too far from downtown area unless you pay a milage charge (fair at $4.00 per

gas). As with any house call vet, you have to have some control of your animal, and have to work with the vet. There isn't a "tech" to hold the animal. If you didn't like holding your baby when they had their shots, then a house call vet's not for you. Much less traumatic to the animals, although you'd never know it by the howling.

"I walked in and was greeted warmly by
Sacramento Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, the receptionist. It was my first visit so I was given papers to fill out and the receptionist put the information in her computer. I did not wait very long at all. As soon as I finished the registration, my dog, Sake was called in to an examination room. It was like a hospital room with an examination table and very sterile. Dr.

and an assistant took care of Sake while I watched. The doctor discussed Sake's care with me and I left. It was a very pleasant experience.

"Although a bit pricey overall, I'm quite pleased with how they treated my

cat. She was sick, they took her in, figured out what was wrong, provided medication and did follow-up to be sure she was OK. She had to spend a few hours there until they could get a specimen from her."

"My family and I have been going to
Sacramento Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
under the previous and current ownership (same doctors) for over a year now and find them to be very compassionate. As with a lot of veterinary care, it is not cheap, but when your pets are family, you want quality care above price. Even if you can't spoil your pets, you will find them to be fair in providing a detailed estimate ahead of procedures, staying in touch with you as treatment progresses and giving you all the available options. The only complaint I would have is that they can get rather busy and sometimes I have had to wait during my scheduled appointment to see the doctor and I'm rather impatient."

"This was the first visit to the vet for my new puppy, so he and I were a bit nervous. The atmosphere made me feel at ease along with the professional behavior of the front office staff. The interaction with the veterinarian was excellent. She did a thorough exam of my dog and administered his first round of vaccinations."

"The staff is very professional and seems to care for the doggies. They call them by name when we enter the office and interact very well with them. The vet goes above and beyond what is required, and also discusses pros and cons of shots, medications and treatment. I've been using them for almost 6 years and am extremely happy with how they've treated me and my doggies."

"Have used
Sacramento Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
several times. They were prompt to get my cocker spaniel in when he has an ear infection. Dr.

was very emphathetic and listened to us, although we sound like overly concerned parents. The wait was OK, seen within 10-15 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful."

"I brought my two Yorkies to Rancho Veterinary to get their teeth cleaned. The vet,
Sacramento Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Gates, gave me an estimate in writing clearly showing a low-end amount and a high-end amount for both of my pets on separate sheets of paper. She said the high-end was the worse case and that amount would not be exceeded and I specifically asked her to stay within the low-end of the amounts for both of my pets. I approved of her to do the work and she did some preliminary lab work. The results of the lab tests showed 4x the amount of liver enzymes for one of my pets. I asked her what that meant and she said it was nothing and I should wait a few months to get it retested. I left as my pets needed to stay at her clinic for most of the day.
Sacramento Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
called me to say one of my the pets needed extra work and the cost would exceed the high-end dollar amount! However, she said the other pet's teeth were in better shape so the total amount should not go over the combined estimate. When I went to her office to pick up my pets, I was in shock to learn the total amount was almost $1,000 over the high-end amounts for both pets! I was so mad. What is worse - she would not budge and not even stay within the estimate she promised in writing. In addition, she would not let me see my pets until I paid the full amount using a debit card. And, I found out later that high liver enzymes may be an extremely serious, deadly condition! She compromised by pet's health by 1.) charging close to $1,000 more than estimated in writing; 2.) removing the antibiotics from the home treatment; and 3.) and she was more concerned about making a few extra dollars than my pet's health. I do not recommend this vet. Bottomline, watch out for this vet. If you need teeth cleaning, to her, it means yanking out all their molars (I'm not sure if they even needed it!), giving you a false estimate in writing, and not telling you about a potentially serious health condition of your pets.

"He is very thorough and kind. He really cares for animals, it is not just a business for him. He seems to be up on the latest things. He has good referrals for other veterinarians. The staff is fun, when I walk in they know my name and know my dogs."
