Internet Service Reviews in Sacramento

The installation went smoothly. However, the new cable boxes they left me with, kept crashing. I have to reset them frequently. I was told it was a new equipment they were trying in the
and that there were a few bugs to fix. On the positive side, I must say that the new interface for cable is much better.
I am not happy with the amount of money I pay
every month for their services. It seems excessive to me.

I have been so happy with
's service! They are incredibly responsive, with a tech-support person just a phone call away if there are problems or if I need help setting up. I like that they are a local northern California service (though growing--judiciously--all the time). I researched
thoroughly before I signed up with them. They have very high satisfaction ratings, and their customer support gets some of the highest rankings in the country on Broadband Reports.
I am especially pleased with the Fusion bundle. All domestic long-distance calls are free! And you know all those little "extras" that AT&T likes to charge monthly fees for? Things like Caller ID, Call Waiting, conference calling, call forwarding, etc.? Those are all included in the basic monthly charge. Voice mail is also provided; my favorite feature is that my voice-mail messages are forwarded to me by email! I can listen to messages right from my email, wherever I happen to be.
The DSL connection is fairly fast, considering how far I am from the nearest telephone central office (the physical length of the wires determines the speed of any DSL connection). Once in a while, the connection drops, but I attribute that to the poor wiring in my house, because usually just resetting the wireless modem has me up and running again. If it's something more than that,
's tech support can unravel even the snarliest tangle, and get the connection going. If repairs to the outside lines are needed, they work with the AT&T techs to get it done.
I bought a wireless modem (from
) twice--once when I started with them in 2007, and once when I upgraded to the Fusion account a few months ago. They have recently begun renting modems to all new customers, so that the support people have better info about connections, and so that they can remotely upgrade the modem software (and firmware?).
does offer technician installation for $75, but I just went with the DIY setup. It was very easy!
I recommend
to anyone looking to get away from the mass corporate approach of national broadband providers. If you want incredible support, transparency, communication, and technical expertise,
's for you.

Internet Service reviews in Sacramento

They have excellent customer service. I can always reach someone by phone if I have a problem. They work with me to figure out different things with regard to bills and equipment.
- Marta B.

I don't use the computer veraciously, so the service is fine for what I need. They are ok. The pricing is good. I don't deal with their customer service department very often. I have gotten feedback from them. I call one person and they say one thing, and then another person will tell me something else. They seem to be too big. They don't seem to care as much for their customers as smaller companies do.

enough, call, pay by credit, and they email you directions. Interestingly some of the directions they emailed me weren't necessary (resetting my homepage to their website for instance).

They arrived late (after the end of our four hour time window), and the technician seemed like he was trying to rush through the installation. He didn't offer any information on what he was doing, but he answered my questions. Since installation, we've had numerous problems, mostly with the download speeds, which have often been below 1 MB/s (we're supposed to be getting 4 MB/s). we've also had issues with the service being unavailable, and their toll-free number just tells us they know there's an outage in the area but they don't know when it will be fixed.

We closed out our cable (tv and internet) account, turned in all of our equipment, received account closure documentation and moved to ATT last September. Then, in June, we received a collections call for a $30.00 charge by

1. We had not had any communication from
Sacramento Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
over the entire period between our account closure and the call from the collections agency.
2. I called
Sacramento Internet Service Providers Provider Name Locked
to find out the reason for the collections call, and they said we had not returned a piece of equipment. This was untrue. I asked them to investigate the problem and they provided me with a ticket number.
3. A week later, I had not heard back, and called

again. In the meantime, I had received several calls from the collections agency. The

agent identified the piece of equipment, which was a modem card to be installed into our tv. We were able to tell them that it did not fit and therefore had never been installed and had been sent back with the installer at the time, which is why we didn't turn it in when we closed our account. We were then told further investigation would take place and that we would be called no later than

17th, more than three weeks in the future, to establish accountability.
4. We were not called on

17th, so I called, and was told that our amount had been zeroed out and that we owed

nothing. I asked for an email or written communication to that effect and was told it was not possible and that we would have to accept verbal assurance. This would not help if somehow our credit was impacted by their error and we had no documentation to prove otherwise.
5. I was then told to go to

's Bruceville Rd. service center to request written documentation, and that they "might" be able to provide it. I wanted to call to request in advance, but the center has no telephone access for customers. You have to wait in line and take your chances.
Needless to say, we would not recommend

, as their billing and service processes seem to be broken in some areas, and anyone who does business with them could be impacted now, or in the future.
