Driveway Gate Installation And Repair reviews in Sacramento

During the course of buying my first home I discovered this thing called the home inspection. Anyone who goes through one nearly has a heart-attack with all the things the inspector picks out. After finally closing escrow the seller agreed to address some
of the necessary corrections and we decided to use the contractor recommended by my real estate agent,

After the agreed upon repairs were finished I was given certified checks to pay the contractor. I met up with

What can I say about

? Each time I have him complete one thing, I decide to proceed with the next project. It started with painting and remodeling the formal living room and dining room. They were previously painted blood red and

suggested I go wainscot and two

in the living room which I decided to make my billiard room. He knocked out part of this ugly shelving they had and added a chair rail. Once that turned out amazing I had him build my deck (the previous contractor quit on me). After having an awesome deck remodeled to look brand new (it had a serious case of dry-rot, not to mention a huge hole where a hot tub use to be) I decided to have

spruce up the garage. So he power-washed the years of grease away and painted it to look brand new as well.
Next I told him I needed new fencing around the parts that were falling down and he said no problem to that too (he built me a new fence with two gates for less than the fencing companies bid). Then I wanted a custom cover for my pool equipment outside to be protected from the basketball and he did. My front lights looked like crap so I had him put new ones in as well. The bathroom fixtures were loose, yep called

to tighten them and fix all the leaks as well as put in a new shower head. My laundry room had no doors, so he put custom ones in for me. My front door was all worn and dinged up so he sanded it down and made it look new. Decide to make upstairs bedroom a theater room, called them to knock out a wall, closet and install carpet then paint, now it's probably my favorite room in the house. As I sit and type this I'm looking around my place and thinking what haven't I had

So, if you're looking for a do it all contractor then

is your guy. He even skill sawed some garage flooring I was having trouble edging for no charge!! I highly recommend him for all your needs. He'll probably be the same if not slightly cheaper in price than
the competition (from my experience this is true, even using some top rated companies on Angie's List for bids).
It's so nice to be able to tell one person what you want done, and then get it done. I can't imagine how much of a pain it would be to hire 10 different contractors all to do the same job

I scheduled an estimate for about a week out because they were all booked until then. I took the day off work so I could be home for the estimate. When the estimate time came I was at home waiting. Since the lady told me on the phone the estimate would be from 2-3, I continued to wait thinking that perhaps she meant they would show up sometime during that time period. At 2:42 I decided to call and check. The lady I talked to (she doesn't provide her name when answering the phone) said they had to cancel because her "consultant" went out of town and she left me a voice message. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told her that I had taken the day off work and it would be difficult for me to get time off work in the coming weeks. I was frustrated that I had taken the day off and waited around for them to show up, plus I didn't have another estimate lined up because they were the highest rated company on Angie's List and I didn't want to waste other company's time (I had already received an estimate from a guy off craigslist). The lady was not very sympathetic to my situation. Instead, she was very confident that she left me a message and seemed surprised at my frustration and a little indignant like this was all my fault, at least definitely not hers.
I told her I would look for an estimate from another company and write a review of my experience. She seemed panicked as she didn't think the company did anything wrong. I assured her that they may not have. It is possible I did not see the voice mail she left me, or my phone could have not delivered it. It never seemed like a possibility to her that she thought she called and left me a message but never did. When I got off the phone with her I checked my voice mailbox and went through all the messages I received since talking to her the first time. None were from her. I then checked my phone log to see if she had ever called but the message failed. There was a record of me calling her the first time and at 2:42 today but nothing from that number.
I called back to let her know this and brought up the possibility that she thought she called but didn't. I asked if on her message she asked me to return her call. She said yes and that I was one of the only ones she called who did not return the call. I suggested in the future she reach out a second time to the people she doesn't hear back from in case they did not receive the message.
Bottom line - who knows if she called to leave a message. If she did, I appreciate it that but it doesn't do me any good if I don't receive it. The fact is I took a day off work and waited at home for them to show up. I wouldn't do that just so I can write a bad review on Angie's List. I'd rather have good experiences and write good reviews. My sense from her reaction when I said I was going to post a review and by her self-righteousness that it was not her fault is that she is very detailed oriented and usually doesn't let things fall through the cracks, and that this business takes its reputation seriously. But I can only report on my experience. Maybe my phone malfunctioned. You can make your own decision and give them the benefit of the doubt or not. If you do schedule an estimate, I would call a day or two before to make sure it is still on. In fact, during our initial conversation I remember her telling me she would call to remind me a couple days before the appointment. When I did not hear from her I said to myself "should I call her?", then thought "Nah, she just forgot to call." So I could have been more thorough as well instead of only relying on them to be thorough.

Update - The manager called to settle things. He said his office manager felt attacked & I explained that I also did. That's what happens when people know what they did but not what the other person did. Anyway, I appreciated his effort and upgraded my overall experience from a D to a C.

2nd update - I was off work early one day so I went to their showroom, not realizing it was the same place I had already reviewed. I got there right when they were closing and the manager,
