came in and replaced the rollers as expected, on his way out of my house, he noticed that my back yard screen door was put on upside down and he asked if he could fix it, free of charge. adjusted the lock and off he went. That is customer service!

I tried calling back
by leaving a message but, no one ever returned by call. I was first given a cost around $200 to clean the track replace the lock and pull the door to check the wheels. But the door was never pulled to check the wheels.

Door Installation reviews in Sacramento

These guys really helped me out of a jam. My best friend's family was very sweet and bought me a security door for my front door after moving in to my first house. His father also did me a "favor" and installed it for me. Problem was the security door wouldn't open all the way once it was installed because of the design of my front porch/roof overhang. I called

Doors and they came right out the next day, removed it quickly and even helped me return it to Home Depot (for a little extra) because there was no way I could lift it or fit it in my car. They really helped out this new home owner!

The entire experience went very well.

was prompt, informative and helpful. He allowed that the existing frame was still in good working order, (which I was glad to hear!), but he also explained that there were some areas that needed to be corrected such as how the fabric roll had been incorrectly put on which caused the roll to be difficult to roll back in which had to be done manually. He answered all of my questions and when he completed installing the new fabric he made any other needed adjustments to balance the frame and arms. We did include a remote motor which we are already enjoying. All in all, we were very happy with

In April of last year I had my house broken into. The intruder kicked in my front door, causing no damage to the sturdy door, only the door frame. I contacted

recommendations and was extremely pleased with the responsiveness and sensitivity to help me in this upsetting situation. The quote was reasonable, parts ordered and the repairs were scheduled within a couple days. In the process I learned that door frames are often not installed to code; and, therefore, cannot withstand a good kick, making this a not uncommon mode of entry for burglars. And I was SO impressed with the craftsmanship of the door repair. I cant say enough about this. I am very pleased!

The bottom of a front entry door was damaged and a reasonable estimate was given a few hours after calling. The next day, the door was taken to their facility, glued and returned in five hours. Not only was the door repaired and replaced on its hinges, but about an hour was spent adjusting both doors. If you have problems with doors,

Doors & Locks, saved the day for us. We live in a 103-year old home with all the usual problems associated with an older home. We had previously hired another contractor to install weather stripping around our front door--what a mess!! Couldn't open or close the door unless you had the strength of Superman. Then searching through Angie's List (which we should have done in the first place) we found

's knowledge of older doors was amazing. He explained to us what needed to be done to correct the problem. Although we thought the price was a tad high, we realized any work done on an older home requires a person with much more skill so we set up a date for the work to be done.

's associate, who also was very knowledgeable about older doors, was very pleasant to work with. He arrived on time and proceeded to fix the door right away. Before he could begin to install the weather stripping, he had to remove all the other weather stripping. The job took approxiately three hours to complete. While he was at our home he gave us a great "education" on older doors, including the anticipated life span remaining on our door! We were very satisfied with

Technicians called 30min before arrival as promised. They worked together to replace the rollers on sliding doors and none sliding side of one door all in about 2hrs. The sliders slide easily and smoothly again and no more moisture between panes in side they was replaced so we are very happy with result and would hire again.

I interviewed sales people from three different window companies who represented three different window manufacturers. The Northwest sales person was the only one that brought a "sample kit" to demonstrate the window construction and features. After the interviews I visited the three local showrooms to see some actual window installations and to have the sales people show me more details. Each of the window companies had their own shop adjacent to their showrooms, as well their own trucks and crews.
The estimates were fairly close to one another, but I decided on the Northwest as the installer and chose the Anlin windows they were promoting because I liked the window features (construction and materials). I also preferred their screens, which had metal "pulls" instead of the typical flimsy rubber "tabs" that most screens have (that is, when they are new!). It's a small detail, but removing screens and re-seating them is one of the things you have to do when you clean windows.
After signing the contract, a different Northwest representative came to my place and took precise measurements and subsequently placed the order with the Anlin manufacturer ( After the windows arrived at Northwest, they scheduled the installation.
The installation crew arrived on time and the first thing they did was to walk through my townhouse and double-check to make sure they had the correct windows and equipment before they started work. One of the windows had to be re-ordered because the manufacturer had made a mistake, but Northwest was able to get it expedited and the replacement window arrived within a week.
I left the townhouse for part of the time that the crew was working because I didn't want to be around all the noise and activity. But from what I did observe, the crew was very precise and careful about removing the old windows and installing the new ones. They kept me apprised of their progress during the day and discussed with me how they could deal with some construction issues that were not visible until they removed old paneling. And each day they cleaned up the interior and exterior before they left.
The removal and installation job took three days total, and then they came back a forth day for a few hours to complete some detail work (additional caulking, removing labels, cleaning windows, etc.).
Northwest installed new window trim on the exterior (it was required by the Homeowners Association), but I had to arrange for the trim to be painted.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the appearance of the finished job (interior and exterior), and it's great to have windows and doors that open and close smoothly again instead of the 40-yr old windows that were sticking all the time. And when I close the windows, it is so quiet that I either don't hear or am not bothered by a lot of the typical city noises anymore (such as fire engines, planes, and leaf blowers).
