Closet Design reviews in Sacramento

Our existing vinyl shower shell had deteriorated to the point where we had patched holes several times. A friend of ours had remodeled all of their bathrooms and helped us organize this project. We wanted to replace the shower with tile - because it was not a standard size, we could not install a bathtub. We also wanted to install a tile floor, update to a water efficient toilet and improve the lighting and venting. In addition, we had moved our furnace from a kitchen closet area to the attic in Sept 2010. We wanted to convert this space to a pantry. We wanted to install flooring to match the existing kitchen floor have multiple shelves and a light.

had the idea to install a light that would turn on and off when we opened the door.
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
worked with us to keep the project within our budget - allowing us to find ways to do the important work within our means. We met with
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
to confirm the work and he started later that week. The first week he did the demolition of the old bathroom. He removed all of waste materials and protected our house where he walked in and out. When he came to any decisions, he worked with us to discuss the options so we could make appropriate changes. He took into account our budget and also what made the most sense in terms of long term results. After the demolition,
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
worked to reinforce the floor to hold the weight of the tile and the weight of a new glass door. He also framed out the niche which would be tiled to create a shelf that did not impact the interior space of this small shower. He was able to maximize the opening to accommodate large bottles while also keeping the finished area in line with the tile design. He moved the drain to center it as much as possible in the space (we had a support beam in the center of the space.

installed a vent with automated timer with attached to an existing unused vent to the roof. He used insulated ducting to prevent moisture buildup in the attic. In addition, he installed a separate light over the shower. I think this is the best lit room in the house now. While waiting for the tile work to start,

worked on the pantry area. He patched the existing holes in the walls, ceiling and floor. This included closing up the air vent returns in the hall and living room. He installed flooring in the space and drywall on the ceiling. He installed a push button switch in the door frame and a can

light in the ceiling. We wanted several shelves within the pantry and

worked with us to maximize this small space. The room is approximately 2 feet by 4 feet - deep and narrow.

designed L shaped shelves on adjustable rails. This allows us to fit 4 L shaped shelves and one regular shelf in the space. It is amazing how usable the space is - and how much we can fit in there! To save money, we did all primer and paint work. When the tile work was set to start,

the tile out and ensure there were no issues. Once the tile was installed and sealed,

Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
was very knowledgeable and offered great solutions to problems. I highly recommend him, if he doesn't know how to do something he is quick to state so. When he didn't feel comfortable doing something he had great contacts for people that could. AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE!

The man came over and charged $55. 00 to measure and give an estimate on four bedroom closets and two hall closets. The price was way too high. I used a different company with a lower bid.

I gave

rather mixed reviews...bottom line up front? They do good work on the installation side...on communication with the client...well...let's just say that a "D" was generous. First off...the owner cancelled an appointment to come out and measure my (admittedly small) closets sort of at the last minute...he wanted me to measure them.

...isn't that supposed to be part of the service? I'm sorry that I live in

is in Lincoln.
So I took time off work, came home, measured all 4 closets and draw everything up...closet organizers are not my field of expertise...but did email them to the owner. The design meeting in
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
's factory went just okay although I'd have to say that the owner was not overly outgoing or friendly. He did mention he likes my sort of job...small closets & high profit...those were his words. That's fine I guess.
The silliness about all of this? The owner still sent out one of his employees to completely re-measure my why was I asked to measure my own closets and send them to the owner? That still puzzles me.
Scheduling a time to install was another issue...and why I gave them a rather poor grade in communication. At the time of the design consultation in Lincoln, the owner mentioned he'd try for 22

. Unfortunately I never heard another word from them after that until I called a few days before (17

. A day before the install, I had not heard anything about whether the installation was still on and at what time the installers would arrive. I had to contact them via email (phone calls are rarely answered) and request a confirmation on the date and time. Before that, there were also many emails that were not answered in a timely manner...same with phone calls. I understand they are a small business but if you ignore prompt and timely responses to clients' questions or calls...well...that sends a message to the client.
I give an "A" for the installation...
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
(the installer) arrived on time and did his work well...friendly too. There were a couple of rods that needed to be recut and brought out...those were done the same day by another co-worker (

). Also very friendly.
To conclude...the product is good. The installation was good. The price a bit less than some other local/national closet organizer firms (but they all are expensive)...communication and letting your client know what is going on...well, I'll let you decide.

We'd bought a new home and wanted to make two pretty large closets more functional. We called
Sacramento Closet Designers Provider Name Locked
Closet and the designer come out a few days later. The design was produced quickly and we handled most of the review and approval through email, which was a great convenience for us since it minimized having to find meeting times. The installation was completed in a day, and the workers removed the old bars and shelves. The design was very functional and the designer was helpful in making a few changes that we wanted. The price wasn't the best we got, but the lack of hassle and the professionalism of the designer and crew were worth a slightly higher cost. Scheduling was at our convenience and the workers arrived on time. Overall, it went smoothly and completely to our satisfaction.

consultation and design session was great. Day before installation I received a phone call requesting a time change, which I agreed to reluctantly. On day of installation the installer called over 2 hours after scheduled appointment time to inform me that he would be late. I made several phone calls to find out where the installer was and my phone calls were never returned. After installation the installer stated that the company would call me about the final bill and on how I wanted to pay it; on the credit card they had on file or with another credit card. That was on October 5, 2012 and this review is being written on October 18, 2012 and I have not yet heard from anyone from that company. The final product was fine, but a little pricey. I wasted a whole day waiting for them when I had plans to celebrate my husbands birthday. The customer service was so poor that I will not use them again and will never recommend their services.
