Reviews for Richmond Roofing Contractors

"Horrible from start to finish, I would not recommend
for anything. Does not respond to voicemails. I left five voicemails over a two - three week period with no response. I finally got them on the phone when they answered a call and scheduled the roof inspection & repair. They called the morning of a little over an hour before scheduled arrival to confirm location and stated they would be there within the hour, they were due at 9am. They then proceeded to show up an hour late, at 10am, with no phone call that they were running late or where they were. I had to be leave for work and called to see where they were and had to leave as they arrived. Now estimate or evidence of work done was left at my house and I received no phone call as to what work was performed or needed to be performed. Two days later I received an email providing the cost of a roof replacement, still no evidence of work performed or work that needed to be performed that would be part of the repair credit. I emailed them back asking for a list of work that was performed as part of the repair credit. Two weeks later I got a response stating they caulked vent collars and the $100 repair credit could go towards repairs needed on the roof. They never did any repairs associated with the voucher I got from Angie's List.
All I can say is that was the biggest waste of $60, call another roofer and get a FREE estimate and inspection. I chose not to use Buckeye as they were so poor at communication and showed such poor professionalism I was concerned if anything went wrong, plans changed, I had issues with any work done they would not return phone calls to deal with any of it. Worst contractor experience yet.

"Had a walk through with a representative from
in order to provide a quote for siding/gutter/trim repair. He was very thorough and professional during the visit and took the time to examine the issues I was having. When he left I felt very comfortable that with a fairly competitive price I would be giving the business to
Unfortunately, I did not hear anything within the promised timeframe (one week) and followed up two weeks later. Almost a week after my follow-up I have not heard back.
It is disappointing as
seemed to know exactly what to do and had the materials involved available. I will move on to other contractors in order to get quotes for the work I need done.

Richmond Roofing Contractors Reviews

"My experience with
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
Roofing Company was excellent. From start to finish, it was the smoothest service I have encountered in the five years I have owned my home.
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
12, 2014, I contacted
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
in order to get an estimate. On June 14th, Mr.
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave me a quote. On June 16, 2014 the work was completed. On June 18, 2014, I received the invoice in the mail. Amazing.
Besides being friendly, reliable and efficient,
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
provides high quality work at a competitive price. I would highly recommend these guys.
"Very punctual for estimate and very thorough. Priced $1,000 less than other 2 bids and spent the most time accessing what needed to be done. Took photos of damaged areas before and after repairs. Crew arrived on time and were very considerate of my gardens with their ladders. Very neat and respectful of my property...took shoes off when entering house to review damage in the attic. After they left, I discovered an item we had discussed had not been taken care of and they returned the next business day to rectify. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely call again if need arises.
"I live in the fan in a 1400 square foot row house. They told me the back roof would take 3-4 days and the front would take about the same. I figured it would be done in stages, but the progress was incredibly slow. It took them 40 days to "finish" both portions and it still leaked. Their workers made a constant mess, at one point they left razor blades on my front railing (eye level for my two year old daughter).
They kept promising more people, better people, but to no avail. The same installer messed up a lot of the work and was fired. I asked that he not come back to my job should he be rehired. Guess where he was on Monday? My house. He admitted that he was not skilled at slate work and flashing, but said the company had no one else to do it.
My roof has leaked badly three times since April and they made no effort to dry out my attic insulation or the damaged plaster. I emailed and called the owner multiple times and he was non responsive. They rarely returned my calls or listened to what I had to say. When they did talk to me they never admitted fault and tried to tell me how great everything looks. I am a contractor and I know that everything does not look right. There was only one manager who was actually honest with me, but it was not enough to get it right.
Their fixes were sloppy, they caulked my attic hatch closed last time. They had to redo the slate work several times as it was wrong. Also I asked for the flashing to

into the brick as it was intended, they caulked it to the brick. This is wrong. It is already peeling off in places. They did not finish the coping work (covers the top of wall) specified on the contract stating that brick work had yet been done. The brick had been re-pointed before they began. I could go on and on about these guys.
I am currently trying to find a company that can repair the damage they have done to my 1917 home.
I would not use them for an older home or any home for that matter. It has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company. And they are at the top of the list......
"They were prompt and finished the job in a timely manner. They had to coordinate their work with the company that was replacing the window. We are very pleased with the results.
"Everything went great!
A clear and accurate estimate was given.
The work was completed as scheduled, on time, and, at the estimate price.

"They were extremely helpful with my situation. They actually took the time to see what was actually causing my problem even though they knew it was not my roof that needed repairing. They made suggestions on how to fix my problem. I would recommend them to everyone, great company!
"The Buckeye crew arrived early on Thursday, April 24 to inspect the roof. They checked all the vents and the chimney flashing, shingles, etc. I was pleased to learn that the roof was in good shape.
I will definitely call Buckeye for roof work and for other maintenance and remodeling needs. The company in addition to roofing, the company does other work such as installation of windows, doors, patios, and siding.

"The head contractor,
Richmond Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, was very personable, as was his two assistants. They came within minutes of the appointment, did a thorough check of the roof, and did caulking around fixtures. The roof will not need to be done for 4-5 years, but when asked, he gave me an estimate (in today's dollars) for the cost of a new roof so I can begin saving as needed.

is a Vet; I will definitely use him and his company when we need a new roof - or any unforseen repairs that may be necessary. Yhey were a pleasure to do business with.
