was professional, and took an interest in my problem. I had previously been told by a contractor who was at my house for a different reason, that my tub needed to be yanked out for moisture damage, and put back in, to the tune of $5-6000. agreed that I probably didn't need the work, and just keep an eye on it. Will use ceramic quarter rounds to block a large gap between tile wall and tub."

" made fantastic verbal presentation of high quality workmanship and professionalism along with website presentations that looked great. The acual work done was a total disaster. My husband had open heart surgery a couple of months prior to the work. failed to provide any notice of toxic vapors, spray, and fumes as well as risks of fires. There was no disclosure of legally required information via Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). They painted over contact shelf paper, painted over brand new disposal, oversprayed new stainless steel appliances, light fixtures. They failed to follow all surface preperation guidlines set forth in the paint manufacturers product information sheets. They failed to provide fresh air input during the spraying. After witholding some $ seeking to prompt corrective actions, they came to our house and the painter who did the work, son of the business owners, verbally assaulted and cursed us as he walked out slaming the door. Better Business reporting was unsuccessful. We filed a complaint with the Virginia Department of Consumer Complaints noting dozens of contractor violationsof Virginia contractor regulations including failure to provide a contract, written change orders, misleading and false advertising, misrepresentation of accepting credit card payments, failure to provide contractor license information, etc. The complaint was investigated and is currently pending a Board Hearing to determine the degree of the violations and applicable consequences. They have a relative who is an attorney. Therefor they appealed to a court higher than small claims stating it will cost them nothing while legal assistance for me would be more than the job cost. I perceive them as frauds who comitted gross negligence who are now relying on the high cost of legal fees to me to get awy with it."

He responded immediately to emails and returned phone calls the same day, if not the same hour! He was very personable and professional....explaining everything that needed to be done and answering all of our questions. The finished product on all of our repairs (water damage in the ceiling, painting, replacing carpet padding, refitting carpet, installing new ceramic tile) was perfect. is a quality company that I'd recommend to a friend."

"I received three comparable proposals, but had the most experience with the age, size and style of bathroom. I was able to look at his other work (which was excellent) and found a style that I liked and suited the house. He and his staff were always professional, tidy and kept me apprised. If you like a perfectionist then is the right guy -- kind of like the on Homes show on HGTV. He's also an excellent carpenter -- preferring to hand craft some items for quality-sake. I had planned on selling my house, but the bathroom is so fantastic that I may have to stay. Friends and family also love it, stay too long and bathe more frequently than normal! I would definitely recommend him and will use him again."

"It went very well for the most part of it. It went well enough for me to be in the process of rehiring him to do some more work. They were professional. They were on time. They picked up after themselves. There was one incident that was out of character for the firm. I was not pleased with someone that he had hired short term to do some work for me. The work they did was fine. It was the character of the people. I think the price was fair. I don't have a great deal of experience in this area, but all of them seemed to be somebody's reference. I was pleased with the way the work turned out. It was very good. I referred them to my sister and they did a very good job for her as well. You get what you pay for. The quality was very good. They were very responsive and they were on time. They were professional, but I had to get on one guy's case for making fun of certain ethnic groups. I would use them again."

"Originally meet and talked with and at a home show. Was impressed that was up front that she was not a school trained designer but more a match to your tastes type - this bond was the one which helped us make the decision that her touch was what we needed and wanted. They both tried hard, but we were disappointed in several "miscommunications" and the surprise that did not tell us, until after the fact, that she would leave first hand contact in the hands of her associate so she could stay at home with her kids over the summer. She was "available" via email, but this is not what we expected.
Additionally, there were several times that miscommunications occurred causing us concern, extra costs, and a less satisfying result - these miscommunications were above and beyond what would be considered normal for such a project. The plumbing, granite, and tile subcontractors worked very hard to give us good service and we were pleased with them.
Sorry it did not work out as we had hoped."

"Mr. was extremely nice and professional. He responded promptly and we set up an appointment for him to come out and take a look at the house. He totally worked around our schedule by coming in the evening around 5:30 p.m. when we could both be there. We needed two interior walls removed, a complete kitchen renovation, and basement refinishing. He was very up front about the fact that he would not feel comfortable taking out the walls and redesigning the kitchen, since he does not do electrical or plumbing work. However, he seemed confident that he could provide us what we need in terms of basement refinishing (drywall construction, floor leveling, etc.). We really appreciated the fact that he was honest about what he can and cannot do. And he was just a super nice guy all around. We will definitely be calling for any painting, flooring, drywall, or carpentry we need done in future."

"I am very pleased with the results! The tiles were originally installed very close together, yet the team was able to insert the replacement tiles so well it's impossible to tell where they made the repairs. This was not a job but had the skills needed to get it done right. and his staff are very knowledgeable and courteous and they respected my house and my time. The work was completed in an efficient and timely manner. I really appreciated the Angie's List member discount too!"

" was the most informative contractor I have ever met or dealt with. Every single question was answered and explained in great detail. He also provided much information without the need of me asking questions. I was especially grateful that he left the large air filters in my home for an extra weekend at no additional charge since my home was vacant. This just really helped in cleaning the air. This job was started and completed on time and exactly as I expected. My only complaint is that I did find a few cigarette butts in my driveway. It was not more than 3-5, but I do not smoke and found that unprofessional. I also received many follow up calls throughout the process to keep me up to date on what the crew was doing. provided me with two cds providing all pictures related to my entire job process as well. I knew that he did exactly what he said based on the proof in the pics."
